 Ruth all but grabbed the cloak and pin from Brenley, slipping them on without a moment's hesitation. She reached and grabbed for the reaper boil and the ghost ghoul, keeping them close to her as the group followed their teacher to and through the portal.
When Rengath explained what had happened, Ruth immediately looked down and was pleasantly surprised by the rather subdued colors of her disguise. Pretty, she wanted to whisper but didn't, she kept her thoughts to herself, instead doing what their teacher told them. That is, act human.
Her smirk widened, about to reach for Serafina and Brenley when light and colors caught her attention. She gestured to them, cocking her head towards the colors.

Well, if Molan was tasked with something, he always tried to do his best. Which meant even if he didn't like the idea of working with hot wax and flames, he tried his best. He wasn't his normal cold self anyway, things were easier as a human in some ways.
Not that he liked it.
Still, he carefully worked along, following instructions as he made the candle. Which, surprisingly, turned out well as he finished. A nice shape with the wick properly placed. If reminded him a bit of one that you could find in the maul.
Not that it smelled like anything like those humans had, but close enough. Hah. He'd done better than some of the actual humans! How was that for being a proper little human. Yes, that was a bit of a smug look on his face for now royally screwing this up.
Just a bit. They'd even given him a coin for not messing it up. Gold and shiny with a stamp. Well into the bag with the other five coins he had it went. |

By the end of it, the females had successfully added a braid to the side of his head, just behind his ear. The hellhound looked miserably at Roch as he too was taken by women. Was this part of their customs? Was braiding one's hair some sort of ritual preparation? The appearance of the females, holding onto him and giggling was curious, but it wasn't something he thought of heavily. This is perhaps the most physical interaction he's had with another in a long while, and it was one he felt comfortable with.
"Roch, what do you suppose we do next?" He asked, his voice deep, triggering another wave of giggles from the girls. Why were they giggling? Why were they still holding onto him? The braid was finished. He stayed stoic for the most part, but looked to Roch for conversation.

 Serafina was a little more polite when she took the cloak and pin from Brenley, lightly taking them from him when they were offered and placing the cloak over her, with the pin as directed by Rengath. There. The cloak was a little heavy, and a little itchy, but it overall wasn't too bad to wear, and it would certainly help her identify who was who... unless the humans liked green capes too. Then there might be a bit of a problem-- whoa!
The ghost ghoul was easily pulled with Ruth, levitating just a bit in the air to keep her from tripping over her own feet in the process. This left her with the unfortunate reality of suddenly having two feet on the ground when they went through the portal, leaving her a bit dizzy from the sudden drop in where she was in space.
What surprised her even more was the sudden changes in outfit. Indeed, the green cape was still there, with a pin stuck on where it crossed over her chest. It wasn't a bad looking cape, overall. Her clothes had completely changed, too, into an outfit that looked like it might have belonged on a demon trying to be exceptionally regal more than little her. She reached up to adjust the small tiara on her head, deciding that whatever her guise was, it was a clear attempt to look like a human princess.
Maybe.
What caught her attention the most, though, was the fact that her surgical mask was ... missing. She reached up to her mouth cautiously, rather relieved to find normal lips and not a creepy smile. That wouldn't work too well.
Her eyes followed Ruth's c**k of her head, eyes widening at all the colors she saw. Ooh...
She didn't know what was over there, but it sure was eyecatching.
With an enthusiastic nod, she said, "Let's go over there." Without another word, she grabbed at Ruth and Brenley and started off in the direction of stained glass.

"We run, man, we run," Roch said, pocketing his coin and racing away before the females could grab him. "Terra! Angel! Where y'at?" he yelled--
But there were way too many humans, even for the rather tall kid. "I lost my sister..."
Then he got distracted as he saw a booth of cheaply made strange instruments. "Dude, someone broke your guitar," he told the salesman, picking up a lute curiously. The neck was bent. "So weird--is this like a clamp?" he asked, plucking at the strings.
It sounded nice, though... "How much for the cheap, broken guitar?" he asked.

Grab her? It was very tempting to move faster away from Andrew over the prospect and thankfully she kind of had a chance as they all traveled through the portal to the human world. Maple didn't get a chance to really survey the area with the trees and the Boogeyman who had monitored their travel.
Stepping through, Maple found herself in a sort of familiar sense of home. It was rustic and covered in woods, like home, but lacked the technology that home did - well, it seemed some of the humans still held things familiar. Still. Maple's eyes were wide as she looked around, hoping that nothing terrible would happen while she was traveling with the group - they at least had a backstory.
The reaper gathered up folds of cloth from her skirt in her hands, ready to wander like instructed when she noticed the changes - well, the weight form her head was really the first thing she noticed. Her skirt was longer, a different shade of red and she seemed to have a bodice and an apron; items she never usually wore. Though her horns were gone, there still seemed to be something adorning her head and woven in her hair and moving her hand up to get an idea of what it was. She came to realize there were flowers and ribbons. Urg.
Maple frowned, looked for Andrew, took the offered gold pieces and then set off randomly (which couldn't go well). The ghoul passed by several others, talking in an odd manner and trying to make conversation but she paid them no mind. Eventually she found herself near a large furnace housed with fire and a well chiseled... human man working with several types of metals. It was actually pretty interesting to watch him work and frankly, he didn't look too bad either... for a human.
The dark haired human offered her a smile, followed by something she could only end in disaster. He held out a pair of gloves and wondered if she would like a try herself.
This was going to be terrible.

Molan was braiding hair, and so quickly! Enough time to work his fingers through his brother's hair and not get lost in the shuffle as they made their way towards the more familiar trees. The Boogeyman was new, and not enough time to stare and smile at him. Sad.
But they were through, together at least, and the weight of the human world came flooding to her. Or the heat mostly. Because it got hot, and her clothing didn't seem to help much either. Olivia found herself in a heavy feeling fabric, not too far off from what she normally wore but longer and oddly vented at her chest.... which didn't have its usual gaping hole in it. No, she was fleshy again but she felt rather pretty and something was on her head.
There were a few good minutes spent just looking at what this disguise was bringing her for their adventure today. And when she looked up, Molan seemed to be gone. That meanie! The ghoul puffed her cheeks, gladly took the offered coins from their instructor and went stomping off after him - nearly tripping from the length of the skirt, she was going to hold a little bit of it as she walked.
Molan, nor Andrew, nor Etzer were found at first. But it didn't help as something sparkled and caught her eye. Light catching in a translucent shimmer of glass.
"Would you like to make one?" She heard someone ask her, and without realizing she nodded her head and stepped inside.

She was supposed to act human, and taking offers even with such dangerous activities was probably a human thing to do. Worry filled Maple, like always. Her brows knit together, even as the human reassured her and helped her with the gloves and yet another apron.
This was going to be terrible, this was going to be terrible.
Maple even closed her eyes after being handed her a few of the tools, mostly ones for hitting. Things she could easily kill herself with, wonderful. But it was probably a human thing to do and she mustered herself up and swung the mallet. And then again, a few more times with her eyes shut tight. There was even a little bit of a whine, because well, this was Maple.
After a few more swings, she felt a gentle hand on her shoulder to signal her to stop. He seemed a little impressed, but nothing enthusiastically and spoke nothing of a masterful way of how she worked. But, he wasn't disappointed with her either. In fact, he handed her a silver coin that was stamped with an anvil upon on.
There was even a small acknowledging 'nice job' before he moved on to help someone else. Huh. She stared down at the coin in her hands, actually a little pleased with herself.

Pretty indeed, they all seemed to sparkle and she wasn't the only one to have noticed it. Though, Olivia wasn't too sure which of those that were also in the small area were from her class. They blended in all pretty well. Perhaps she should look for the pin?
Olivia's eyes drifted from person to person before someone who didn't seem to be from their class drifted over with simple instructions on the matter. Stained glass, they had some of that at home on a few of the windows. The ghoul had never gotten to make anything like this; only having used her artistic talents with crayons or simply pencils.
This was a whole new beast in itself, and Olivia was finding it delightful. Moving the colors, making a design. And by the time she was done she had made herself a flower. She wasn't sure exactly what kind it was, but it reminded her of a few of the blossilia in Halloweentown. And the human lady in charge of the activity seemed to like her work as well, complimenting it even with its simple shapes and design. Along with the affirmation she would be able to keep her work, she was presented with a golden coin.
Two presents. This was amazing. Oh, she oh so hoped she could keep these, not like the last time she came here (that hundred dollar bill had dissolved that afternoon).

Lizzy had grabbed whatever she needed to grab, and had eagerly followed Rengath and the rest of the class through the portal. Once she was out the other side, the first thing she did was to look at herself, curious about how she looked like as a human; the first thing she noticed was the full length dress that was on her. It was an earthy color, with splashes of cream and off white - not colors that she would usually wear. She could also feel something heavy on her head, as well as something on her neck, although she couldn't see those properly without a mirror.
The next thing she realized was her lack of pink hair. Do humans not have natural pink locks?
Pushing back her bangs, she looked around and spotted what looked like an archery center. After observing some humans have a go at fighting an arrow at the targets, she decided to try as well - well, as long as she could survive this... Boring... Lecture... The instructor was a monotonous man who kept beating around the bush instead of going straight to the point, and Lizzy was falling asleep just listening to him drone on and on about the same point.
No pain, no gain, right?

Nahm's human-looking skin was lighter-colored this time, and he examined his hands with interest. Humans certainly did come in a number of different shades of pink and brown. They didn't seem to have any other colors that he'd seen so far, though, and he hadn't seen many with interesting markings. Some were speckled, but that was about it. His costume was nicely familiar. Not much different from what he wore routinely, as a matter of fact, and he was quite comfortable.
He wandered away from the group on arrival. The point, after all, was to blend in with the humans and study them. A row of targets caught his eye, and he slipped into the ranks of a group being taught basic archery. Hadn't any of them handled a bow before? Perhaps humans didn't.
