Meaning: "Seafoam"
Breed: Half-breed kalona

Familiar: Nope.
Personality: Vin is harsh and stand-offish. It's a defense mechanism -
it's easier for him to push people away than to admit his own doubts. He hates
the fact that he's a half-breed and holds great hatred towards any full-blooded
kalonas he meets. Having been kicked out of a kalona herd when he
emerged from basket, due to his shortcomings, Vinae has lived on his own -
which has only left him more time to be alone with his thoughts and hatred.
He's not evil. He's just broken and in his core, he's a lost child who only
wanted to be a part of a family that didn't want him. It is, however, very rare for
this side of him to take over the hatred side and so he comes across as an
a*****e more often than not. He feels weak - which is the opposite of the
tough persona he puts out.

Vinae was born to a kalona mother and and unknown father - likely a regular
because of his half-breed status. The herd he belonged to believed in the
purity of the kalona blood and so, when he emerged from the basket under the
eyes of expectant elders, they were disappointed to say the least. They
moved on without him - still too young to stand on his own feet; his own
mother not giving him a second glance.
It was a miracle that he survived - stubbornness perhaps. But the foal pushed
through and grew into adulthood. Though he was just emerged, he
remembered the looks his elders gave him - his own mother. He grew to
understand their hatred and it twisted like a knife, forming a hatred for himself
and those that abandoned him.
He kept to himself and does so til this day, avoiding most less they show their
distaste for him. He refuses to get close to anyone - still afraid of abandonment.
