As the rest of his pary arrived, Masato would nod to Taylor. Then Sadayo would follow, not too far behind. Then Nariomi sensei....who seemed to be learning to control other abilities. Flight? Masato wasn't sure if he was interested in the concept or not. Still, the group was all here he thought as they all passed through the gate together. Just as they would make the way through the gate, the pink haired girl from the other day with the Skeleton King appeared, asking about her squad. Masato shifted his eyes to Nari and then back at Katsumi. Had the intent been to bring this girl into the fold? Masato knew she possessed genjutsu as he had copied her technique, but outside of that, not much was known. That brought to question what Sadayo was doing here? Taylor, Katsumi, Sadayo and Masato made four. What was the true intent?
Finally Ayame revealed herself, summoning a giant snake. Masato's eyes lit up. The giant serpent facinated him. He took a step closer, observing it without coming so close as to be within immediate striking range should it be hostile.
Taylor was awe struck by how everyone was coming in. Nariomi appeared with bug like wings and flew. Was that more of the demon's powers? Taylor shuddered at the thought of Nariomi's true strength. Taylor and Masato came at him with everything they had, and it was only enough to humor him. A girl he never saw appeared though, which surprised him. Her bat was adorable. Taylor kind of wanted to pet it. Before he could respond to her inquiry, the Kazekage appeared. She seemed to have some large snake around her, which made sense. Taylor recalled that she was able to summon a giant snake during the demon battle. Did she say that she wanted to do chuunin test? Was that why Taylor, Masato, the pink haired girl, and also that girl who stood by Nariomi and Sonyo during the observation deck were all here? The boy felt goosebumps as he thought of the proposition. He nodded to his teacher and remained diligent as he awaited an explanation.

If young miss Katsumi would approve, I would like to take her as well." Turning on heel to face Ayame he continued,"However my duties as a Sage of Ninshuu prevent me from having official ties to a village while teaching new disciples. Ninshuu, like chakra, belongs to every village and not just one. For the duration of their education." Reaching up to his shoulder he pulled his headband free and extended it,"I ask that you look after this. My loyalty is and always will be to you, dear sister. But on this I will not yield. Should you agree to this Masato and Taylor, as well as miss Katsumi pending her approval, will also be turning in their headbands and be removed from the ranks of this village. Familiar, less familiar faces,and faces she was almost reluctant to see. The large bat, although while not a scorpion, Sadayo still couldn't look at it right away and deterred her attention from the pink haired youth. When the Lady Ayame appeared to greet the group the snake she summoned briefly surprised Sadayo. Ultimately, Sadayo concluded the large snake was probably just a large breed and not a disastrous behemoth with gaping mouth and an empty stomach.
Two items of interest were mentioned. "Pinky" -the name Sadayo inherently grants to all pink-haired- spoke of something about a squad and Ayame said a qualification test was to start soon. Both items made Sadayo regret being found so easily in the academy. She had things to prepare. Tools to further and bring her ideas into fruition.
Then Nair spoke. Oh. Why? Why now? The thoughts were rampant in her head she wordlessly observed the snake and reflected on her puppets. Yes, it was a great honor to be recommended for promotion. Nari was spot on, according to the silent Sadayo, with naming one of her favored traits The sound of someone acknowledging her "loyalty" made it hard to resist a slightly smile and break the refined and stoic facade crafted to hide her listing concerns.
Then the thoughts stopped and came to a halt all at once. She wouldn't admit to zoning out on the remainder of Nari's speech to the kage but as she saw his headband held out to her, it was hard not to show a little emotion. Her brows furrowed and her thoughts picked up again as she tried to piece what she missed back together.

At first it seemed as if none of the others seemed to know what was going on or simply didn't know how to answer her question. However the Kazekage soon appeared before them and also summoned a snake to her side. The act was interesting to say the least, and it got Katsumi wondering about summoning creatures. Though at present she was not all that interested in asking questions about the concept. No she was more concerned with why exactly she been pulled out to the kage's abode. It was then that the white haired one began to speak, and as he did so questions about whether or not she was intruding in on a family affair passed through her mind. The last time Katsumi had been here, it had made her privy to a family moment and this seemed much the same. He spoke of his sister and her qualities. Indeed even as he spoke of the two boys named Masato and Taylor she felt as though this was talk not meant for her own ears.
It was then that he mentioned every team needing a third before her own name passed his lips. This must have been why she was summoned here. It was an odd thing to say in her opinion. The man clearly seemed to be her superior and as such she could simply be ordered to come. Or at last so she thought based upon the teachings of the academy. Though as he continued to speak she began to understand better. His religious beliefs it seemed would not allow them to be associated with the village while he was conducting their training. Meaning that was indeed something for which her permission was required. Indeed, it was a very serious requirement.
Katsumi thought of what her answer should be. The reality was that her allegiance and ties to Sunagakure at present were like the shifting sands of the desert that surrounded it. For her leaving the village would be only narrowly different from any other location she had moved on from previously. It seemed almost as if she were fated to forever be an exile. Something which weighed upon her mind heavily. Though in the end it was said that this arrangement was not last forever. Unlike with her true home, there would be a time when she could return. While making the decision though she thought almost nothing of Karuto whom she had just come to know and begin dating. Perhaps she would write him at some point though such a thought was silly in her opinion. Finally she looked between the man and the Kazekage before speaking. Painted lips parted slightly and revealed her fangs just before her words came. "If this is what is asked of me then I graciously accept. So long as Lady Kazekage approves of this action I will not refuse." Within her voice there was little trace of emotion, her placid visage served only to provide an air of steely calm.

Ayame looked at Nari then the shinobi gathered there. She sighed and took his headband, "As long as you all return safely, and all of your trainees agree to your terms. I will keep all of your headbands with me." Ayame patted Oroiko as he wrapped around her waist and shoulders, "Sadayo if you would like to follow me we can rope you into Hideo's exam." She looked back at Nari and placed a hand I'm his shoulder, "Be careful, and take care of them. Or I might have to hurt you of they get hurt."
As Nariomi Sensei spoke, the clarity of the situation became known. Masato would however furrow his brow in a bit of confusion when Sadayo came up for promotion. Perhaps she had done well after their fight, but Masato's last impression of her abilities was her tears when he unleashed his gates. He would swallow his desire to speak out in the situation however, a feat he would not be able to do months prior. Then would come the interesting piece. He and Blondie were to accompany Nariomi Sensei on a training journey to learn Ninshuu. While Masato had general ideas of Ninshuu Philosophy from old monk Anji at the temple he had been staying at, he was still no more than a new follower. He knew that completing his training would require more of him than he could have given as his old self. Masato eyed the pink haired female that was to follow as their third team member. Masato nodded as the female seemed to accept the offer without hesitation.
Upon Ayame's approval, Masato would grin eagerly. He took both hands to his headband's knot as he fumbled with the ties. Upon undoing it he took it into his right hand, gazing down at its reflective surface. How long had it been since he put this headband on and never removed it. He felt almost naked without it. Was this the purpose? Stripping down what he knew to begin anew? His blood surged with anticipation as he felt the pages of his life turning to a new chapter. Folding its flaps under the plating, he handed it to Ayame. " No worries. Nothin' me and blondie can't handle. We'll look after Nariomi-sensei and the girl." If one thing remained unchanged it was his boldness and confidence. He would step back from Ayame, awaiting the others to conclude their farewells before moving out.
Taylor was stunned silent when he heard the proposition. So it was true. They really were going to turn in their headbands in order to train outside of the village. Furthermore, apparently this girl with the bat was their teammate? Taylor had never seen her before this day. Was she ready? The team that they currently had was not going to be an easy group. Masato was a good guy, but man was he filled with rage. Nariomi was a hero in all senses of the world, but he's intense with his training regime. In the end, the fear for this girl's success amidst so many heavy hitters made him resolved to treat her nicer. Now that part was out of the way, he had to deal with the serious matter at hand. Could he give up his headband?
Taylor fought diligently for that headband. He was an academy student for two years. When he came he was illiterate, as most slaves were. The academy had given him food, and the village was filled with people who took mercy on children. Here he was though, about to forsake his own village for the sake of training. He almost couldn't do it. But, as if by some force outside of his body, Taylor closed his eyes and took a breath. His hands moved swiftly to untie the headband around his forehead. His hair fell down to cover where his village symbol laid. The headband fell in control to his right hand as he held it at his side for more than a moment. It pulsated with a promise. The promise that no matter what, no matter how hard the trials ahead would become, he was coming back. He could never leave this place for good. Not with everyone here who mattered. Sonyo, Kyomei, Tetsuhiko, Hikaru, Zhi... His heart would never truly leave them. It was this thought that raised his arm and placed his headband with the Kazekage.
"Thank you for your understanding, Lady Kazekage." He said with a deep bow of his head. He rose and moved away from her, taking a position next to Masato. Horus hopped a little so that he stood at Taylor's side. He then gave a powerful screech followed by rubbing his head on his tamer's torso. Taylor scratched the head of the majestic animal as he was ready to move forward. He was afraid of the road ahead, but he knew where the final destination was. Sunagakure.

Karuto entered through the front door to the outer courtyard of the Kazekage's house, on a quest to find her to request his promotion and inform her of his mentoring of Shin. This is where she was last time he saw her and had every reason to believe this was where she'd be again and, lo and behold, he was right. What he didn't expect, however, was to also see the multitudes of other people there handing their headbands in- two of the group being Masato and Katsumi.Karuto smiled and inclined his head to Katsumi and slapped Masato on the back, with a casual "Sup dude" as he strode past them to stand before Ayame. Bowing, he spoke "Oh, uh, hey Lady Kazekage. Not sure if we've ever formally met or not, but I'm Karuto Raiken. I'm here to see what a man's gotta do to get Chuunin around here" While he takjed, he could not help but wonder what the other people here were up to. He didn't hear their words, but the assembling and the headband thing was...odd. For the first time, he worried for Katsumi.

That was it then. Her purpose for the summons was an inquiry to request a promotion and the opportunity to put herself to test was here and shining. The look of concern transitioned to one more attuned to something different as the trio of genin all agreed and expressed their gratitude: An expression hinting toward her understanding more so than her general concern. A journey ahead of them, huh? So much confidence in this group. I guess with I recall about Masato I supposed I could’ve already guessed the enthusiast reply but the blonde and pink ones… Well. Good for them. Good for them.
Sadayo pulled her sights from the headband Nari held out, from the eager genin, and onto Ayame and her snake. With a hushed sigh and nod. ”Alright.”
This would be a test of her current skills rather than the new ones the girl would prefer and without the recommendation of her instructor, well, she wouldn’t be standing among the group. It was unknown as to when she would see Nariomi again and she hoped to meet his gaze before their paths are to split. She found it difficult to speak. All she wanted to do was thank him. In lieu of words a deep bow was offered to the jinchuuriki. Her trio of poofy ponytails flopped over her head and neck with a bow of their own, it seemed. As she rose, her person seemed to twitch at the fearless address to the lady Ayame. Sadayo tried very much to hold back both her surprise and her tongue.
”A demonstration of-" Nope. Failed. The girl closed her mouth and averted her sight to the sand under their feet. She decided quickly that it was not her place to speak as she was: a greenhorn genin who endured a couple scraps, in part, to a few ideas painted up on the fly. She thought she knew the answer but chose to allow the experts take the lead and looked a tad sheepish behind her fringes.

The user's strength and fortitude is increased heavily. > Offensive Style: Knife Stances: The user becomes more accustomed to upward, downward, and sideways slashing motions. Speed of all Bukijutsu employing small arms is mildly increased. > Offensive Style: Simple Play: With this training, the user is able to more comfortably switch between upward, downward, and sideways slashing motions in a pinch. The user's reflexes are mildly increased. > Trick Style: Knife Toss: The practitioner has developed a greater sense of precision and is now able to throw, juggle, and catch their knives by the hilt with ease. Confers a slight reflex bonus to the practitioner. > Offensive Style: Artless Draw: The practitioner has better developed their ability to pull their blade straight from its resting place to an offensive slash. Slightly increases the speed of strikes made when drawing a small weapon. > Trick Style: Retreating Feet: The practitioner, already acquainted with many techniques in the style, has finally realized that with a little bit of personal training, they are able to increase the precision and speed at which they lift and press their feet. The practitioner's footsteps are rendered silent to all who do not have enhanced hearing, and the footsteps they leave in soft ground are shallow. This not only assists their ability to sneak up on people faster and quieter, but also helps when running from trackers. > Trick Style: Blade’s Edge: The practitioner has developed an even greater sense of precision and is now able to throw, juggle, and catch their knives by the tip with ease. Additionally, some projectiles, such as shuriken or kunai, can be caught by their tip. Confers a slight increase to the user's reflexes. > Offensive Style: Stepless: The practitioner has become so used to performing quick and silent steps that they scarcely realize that they themselves are moving. The user's speed and reflexes are mildly boosted. > Offensive Style: Mistborn Stepping: Silent, swift, and sharp. The practitioner is able to creep about at a decent pace while making close to zero noise. While moving through an area where cover or some obscuring factor is present (buildings, people, fog, etc.), the practitioner gains a moderate bonus to speed and reflex. > Skill: Multitasking: While the first two stages of the style revolve around the very basics of how to use a bow, the third stage incorporates the use multiple arrows into a more stylish way of battling. Mastery allows the user to simultaneously fire multiple arrows with any technique that does not specifically state otherwise, and allows the Arrow Creation technique to create up to three arrows at once with no increase in cost. > Skill: Manipulation: Manipulating the bow itself is simple, but controlling the arrows is very difficult. Many enhancements can be made to arrows to give them different flight paths, but buying those kinds of arrows is expensive and making them is difficult, so a method was developed wherein the user can freely alter how an arrow flies without need for such trifles. During this training, the user practices firing arrows with abnormal hand positions. Reduces the Stamina cost of bow-related Bukijutsu techniques (including Formless Styles) by 10 Stamina, to a minimum of 5 Stamina. > Skill: Adaptability: For the most part, the style thus far has focused on techniques to be used while stationary. However, this leads to many problems when fighting alone in situations that demand frequent movement. During this training exercise, the practitioner is to practice all known techniques while running, jumping, and maneuvering across a battlefield. After mastery, the user can align shots even while running and jumping.

Masato nodded as the headbands were collected. Karuto would make an untimely entry as usual, arriving in the midst of the moment. Masato turned, closing his eyes as Nariomi gave the word to meet before sunup. Opening his eyes he would be shoulder to shoulder to Karuto. He paused, letting his gaze shift skyward to Karuto's own. " Karuto. Don't fall behind." Masato said plainly before beginning his stride towards the exit. While Masato was excited to begin his training he was concerned the Taijutsu user would be less challenging than before after this training. The idea of losing a challenge disappointed him. "Blondie, don't be late" he spoke once more as he waved, vanishing in a blur.
Taylor understood the instructions. There was only one person he had to say goodbye to. With a gentle nod Taylor got on Horus' back and departed.

Katsumi slowly undid the knot that held her headband in place. Like the others, she too turned hers in though perhaps with a bit of a quickness compared to some of the others. Karuto had coincidentally shown up during this time and she overheard him asking to be tested. Such a thing would be good for him. Perhaps if he succeeded the responsibility of the role would mellow him out. Failure might do much the same so she had little care which for which result came about in the future. "Karuto.... I will be leaving for some time. Please do not die while I am gone." Voice cold as ever he would probably be able to imagine a variety of ways in which she meant that while at the same time having an inversely proportional accuracy in finding truth of the matter. One might even think she were making fun of him or saying that he was lacking power but then as he had probably realized from their date she wasn't always the most polite in terms of phrasing even though she might mean well. Unlike the other two she wasn't going anywhere soon though. There was no family for her to say goodbye and she had never bothered to acquire many possessions beyond what she utilized in the course of being a ninja. So she could stay around and chat with him if he so desired to engage her.
Looking to Nari she spoke once more, "Nariomi-sensei, may I follow you to your home? There is no one for me to say to goodbye to." A sad statement perhaps, though one she was used to at this point. It had been several years ago that she was exiled under the threat of death. While she did miss her home and her parents, she was more afraid of them anything else.
Ah, so it was training, was it. They all would be leaving it seemed for some advanced training excursion with this white haired man. Karuto remained ambivalent on the subject. One the one hand Katsumi, Masato and Taylor would all be getting great training and becoming splendid shinobi- on the other hand they would be absent from the village for a considerable time. Furthermore Masato, a man whom he considered a rival, would be out of the equation. Karuto's last/only physical challenge was walking away along with Katsumi, a women he had just started seeing. With a slight frown he changed his mind and decided he didn't like this situation.
Personal feelings aside, he smiled as Masato came up to him and warned him not to fall behind "Don't worry, I'll make sure to give ya a few lessons when you get back from your vacation" He grinned as the man walked away and Katsumi approached. He nodded as she explained her situation and crossed his arms, deep in thought "Well, it's an amazing opportunity. I'd call you a fool if you passed it up." Exhaling deeply, he placed a hand upon her right shoulder and smiled weakly "Just...take care of yourself, ok? I'll miss you but when you return you'll be a splendid ninja" Taking a step back, the Raiken chuckled softly "Keep an eye on Masato though, if you think I'm a handful, girl you haven't seen anything yet!"
