James left his platoon of walking corpses outside the office, and then headed in to the Kage's office and calmly slid into his spot on the couch that had been his now for what seemed like many years. James looked over all of those in the room. Some of them old friends and some newer faces, and was awash with emotions of anger and pride.
He looked over Ayame, and the feeling doubled, she was beautiful as a Kage, and the play she had just made was fitting for her role, but it stank of Sanshi's lessons in manipulation and motivation of allies so much that James almost wanted to scream. There was a line that James had always had a feeling for, a line of when a ruse like that was needed, and it scared James that sometimes that line seemed a lot loser for a lot of the village.
"I know we have enough to track them, and I have a walking squad of thier own to torment them with."
James spoke as far as business was concerned.

She was handed a file by a chakra golem in which she read the young girl's name. Ayame gave a smile, Hikari welcome to the ranks of Suna shinobi, She rooted through the drawer and grabbed a headband for her. She then stood and moved to the side of the desk making a handsign. A clone appeared in the chair and waved to everyone. The real Ayame walked over to Hikari and handed her the headband then patted her on the head, You'll do great little one. Before giving a headband to Hikari, the Kazekage spoke to everyone else in the room. Putting the pieces together she deduced that these must have been the brave souls that defended the village from the previous attack. Hikari tensed up as she was given a headband. Bowing, she turned to the door and took her leave.
Masahiro stood and watched with silvered green eyes cautiously following each shinobi's movement. He nodded to those who arrived late and removed his hand from the top of Theo's head and began to walk away. Turning back long enough to cast an eye back to the others as the Kazekage left.
Then as she left, so too would he, making his way for the academy. He had a much larger journey planned to take care of events long overdue, and it began at the Academy and the Hatake Compound here in Sunagakure.

Hearing Masahiro’s words, Theo continued to calm down, to the point that he was more frustrated than angry. Looking his cousin in the eyes, he nodded slowly, “Yeah, I know, Masahiro, it’s still tough to fight be the feeling though, but I’ll get over it in time. Thanks” After Ayame finished her speech, Theodin nodded and went to walk out of the office. Realizing just how tired his body was, since the adrenaline of combat had finally worn off, he focused a bit of chakra and disappeared in a poof of smoke, heading home. Food could wait, he needed sleep. (exit)

A moment later ash fell into the room from the roof, and as it did is began to stick together, forming a rather unwelcome, or welcome, sight: Jack Harren Snipe, a flute to his lips that was even now carrying out the end of a rather haunting, and melodic, music. Lowering the flute/cane to the ground with a click, the odd man nodded slowly to those in the room, his eyes and body giving nothing away, even in scent. To anyone with that extreme ability, the odd male simply registered as a common person relaxing without a care in the world, which might be odd considering what he'd just been through. Looking to Ayame, Jack bowed somewhat low at the waist, utilizing his cane to keep him upright. "Greetings, lady Kazekage." The truth was that he'd only recently gathered that information, with his bees having been scattered across the village proper relaying information for him. While surprising, the information he'd gathered on her so far was...promising.

I assumed that included myself, but if I am in error, I could step out." Always, no matter the case, Jack was full of poise. Looking around out of the corner of his eyes, Jack realized there were few in attendance, and wondered if that meant he was late.

She pushed a chakra golem off the desk that scurried back to the others in the room as they continued to do odd jobs of running things to the secretary outside and such. She then looked at Jack,Thank you for helping with the protection of the village and yes it did include you. At the moment the real Kazekage is fairly busy, but I do know that she wishes to ask something of you. That is only to accompany you back to your village, as the force of the UHV needs to be dealt with and that can only be accomplished by a united front from all villages. She sighed, I know that is a lot to take in so suddenly. I am sorry if it offends.

-----At first Jack did not move, did not change in the least. Only a moment later, however, the smile turned sour, and he looked thoroughly offended. "I do not mean to be rude, but when I mentioned this before, I was treated with hostility and told I would need to leave and do all of the footwork myself. And now you claim this as your own idea, at least by insinuation. I would appreciate in no small degree some gratuity in the original concept of this idea, at the least." The issue was not so much that she had changed the decision from her prior Kazekage, but that there seemed to be a claim of personal decision in this, as if it would bother him that she was going to do exactly what he suggested they do originally. It had been the single reason he had come to Sunagakure no Sato, until hearing about the technique in a nearby village. This was what he'd trained for, what he fought so hard to understand and strive for: diplomacy. He would not appreciate one of his purposes in being taken by someone else. For once, personal pride was coming to Jack, and alien though it might be, he would have it recognized regardless.

"If peace is an option, I urge you to sue for it. More life lost is a loss for all sides. If violence can be deterred, I ask it be considered at the very least. That is a personal request from myself, and not a reflection on those whom reside in Kirigakure no Sato." This was...important. Death on such a scale? It was troubling, and should be something anyone of sound body and mind should be seeking. Hopefully, this Kazekage would be of both, as her words to the UHV representative had shown her to be.

Kaori perked up when Knives walked in, she hadn't been all that worried while she was focused on the battle, but now seeing him she realized that she had merely pushed that worry to the back of her mind so it wouldn't be a distraction. She tuned back into Ayame's speech when she mentioned her's and Nova's names. Kaori inwardly preened at her praise for the blood-rain, where as Nova all but purred, would have been had her vocal chords been capable of the sound, her tail was all but thrashing back and forth in her joy and self confidence. Kaori rolled her eyes at her partner. At the end of Ayame's talk she watched Theodin leave and then looked over at Knives, she had a ton of training to do, but she could send a clone to do that, she'd like to actually get some relaxation in to clear her mind of the still lingering rage at the UHV that had dared to attack her home. Kaori walked over to Knives and smiled up at him,
"Hey there." She greeted, then mentally hit herself, was that really all she could say after all that? Hey? Nova cackled at Kaori and padded over to the awkward flower-child and the butcher. The massive tiger then sat between them,"Do I need to play chaperon? Or teach you how to talk to your Mate?" Kaori flushed to the tips of her ears and all but face palmed at Nova's words, too embarrassed to think.

Ayame's clone poofed out of existence and the real Ayame, along with Daichi, sat in her place. Daichi shook his fur out then sat beside the Ayame. She looked at Jack her blue green eyes shimmering.You said in your own words 'an alliance with yourself'. Not with a village. To be honest your alliance idea didn't even cross my mind because of how the UHV have been reacting. They attack first and ask questions later. I only gave that girl a chance because one, I could smell where she was from. Two, it gave me a chance to get information and breed distrust in the ranks. Third, I did not claim it as my own idea. That is why I said, do not be offended. Ayame said starting to rebraid her hair as she had forgotten to do so before leaving the house.

The tiger-nin gave Nova a look and tilted her head, then looked back at Knives and smiled, "I think we could use some relaxation after that taxing experience." Kaori offered a little shyly. Nova rolled her eyes and huffed,"You guys do anything mushy, leave me outta it. I'll go to the academy and train some more or something. You should send a clone to do that too Kaori." Kaori sighed and nodded, it was a solid idea, and it would enable her to have a good night's rest, and get her some training in. She did a hand sign, and a second Kaori materialized, then joined Nova in leaving the office, heading for the Academy.

It seemed that no matter where he turned, peace was becoming something that these shinobi abhorred, and all this did was prove to him that the mentality of a shinobi seemed to be made to go in only one direction: destruction. However, this did not come to his face, nor change his body's chemicals in any way, hiding his thoughts completely. The real Kazekage had appeared at last, and that meant the time was coming ever closer that he would need to go home and face Shadow. Facing the one person who he had betrayed the most. And it did not feel...right. But Fiammetta's words echoed within his mind, his soul, and told him he needed to face those most important to him, or else he would simply fall back into the darkness. So when he spoke, it was with assurance. "I could carry us there by air if you so desire. Befreety is large enough to carry us both, as well as your canine companion."

James Cameron Poe King of The Frozen Sand
James, sitting back and watching it all, made his emotions very clear. It was very clear he was tired of everyone's bullshit, it was very clear the he was not buying what Jack was selling, and it was very clear that James was not going to let Ayame go anywhere, especially out of the Wind Country. To James, Jack's blank emotional reactions, read against the medical nin's enhanced senses and specialty, were the equivalent of a bold faced lie, the lock down he clearly held could only show that he was purposefully concealing something.
"I'm coming as well, I can fly Keir and I myself." James said simply, and the topic was clearly not up for discussion.
James, uninjured in the fight and in need of only a short rest, would be ready to leave as fast as the others were.
"If peace is possible, then it will be the first time in my entire life that Suna faced an enemy that could be negotiated with. You don't walk into a man's living room throwing punches if you plan on talking. Lets hope this is the first time I'm wrong."
As custom for the man he took a knee when he was addressed by the Kazekage and did not speak a word. He had done nothing more than his duty and now he was tasked again with a favor. Committing the names to memory he recalled everything he knew about them as he rose to his feet. He didnt honestly care about the commotion that was going on in the office with all the people and the annoying outsider. Dipping his head to the clone,"Your will, my hands." Placing his hand upon his bow he disappeared off on his mission.
