History: Jurou was born into a large family that worked for humans. He has nine older brothers, four older sisters, and one sister so young that she had only just emerged from her basket when he left. His grandfather had flown over from a land far across the sea and taken a wingless mate. His father, aunts, and uncles all failed to inherit the wings that had made his grandfather such a prized stallion to the humans.
Determined to prove himself capable to the human riders Jurou's father had set out to produce winged children for them. His first mate produced five winged children (four boys and girl) and a wingless boy. After seeing the wingless child (they youngest of the bunch) Jurou's father left his first mate and took another. She produced two wingless girls despite having magnificent wings of her own, Jurou's father tried to leave the mare as he had the first but she refused to be cast aside. Their union held but when her second set of kids produced two wingless boys Jurou's father began having other dalliances outside of his lifemating.
There was no accounting for how many wingless children Jurou's father produced over the years only that he brought home two more winged sons. He never brought Jurou back to the humans, Jurou's mother had brought him fearing for his health and had refused to leave until the day that she died only a few months after bringing Jurou to the humans.
Jurou grew in an incredibly competitive environment. For those with wings life looked wonderful, while they had plenty of training both from their father and from the humans they also had plenty of time to themselves. For the ones without wings life was challenging. It was always a game of one upping the other children and Jurou grew tired of it very quickly. Realizing that even when he performed better than everyone else his rewards were minimal he came to the conclusion that not working and disappearing when punishments were doled out were far more beneficial. He spent most of his time trying to avoid notice and doing what he wanted. By the time he was a yearling he barely cared when his father yelled at him preferring to goad him into shouting matches.
Jurou left one day when no one was watching him and didn't even bother to take anything with him. He wasn't yet fully grown but he never thought twice about it. He met Shouta by chance when they were both bunking down in the same spot. Shouta made a proposal that Jurou could hardly refuse and the two became partners in the worst sort of way.
Personality: Jurou is sarcastic and generally lazy. If there's an easy way out Jurou will find it and take it. He can talk like a proper gentleman if he feels like there's something in it for him but most of the time he'd rather casually insult someone before sauntering off into the sunset. He knows his way around a fight and is more than happy to pick one if someone actually manages to insult him. There is no heart of gold in there that anyone's seen. Jurou does what he wants and the only one that seems able to tolerate him is Shouta who's no better.

Often called "General" by Jurou, Shouta is an oddity of the soquili lands. He closely resembles a large otter but he is, in fact, a dragon. Despite what dragons are known for Shouta is far from virtuous. He lies, cheats, steals, curses and is just downright intolerable for most people. People often treat him like something holy and he lets them because it tends to lead to treats and trinkets. He has very loose morals and the list of things he won't do is short. So long as he comes out on top he'll strike any deal.
