Merope didn't move, staring at the corpse as it stood there then slumped to the ground, headless. Merope moved enough to fish the eyeball out of his pocket and drop it onto the ground before raising his stick as the sixth one approached him.

At least this time it didn't explode. But at the same time, he missed. The molerat was more than pleased to seize the opportunity and crunch down on Merope's arm.

Merope retaliated by swinging his stick at it.

His stick connected again. The molerat stopped, and thankfully it did not explode. It gave him the same lovey-dovey expression that made Merope carefully look away from it and stand up again, this time moving back so that he wouldn't attract the attention of any more molerats skulking about.

Now if only there was a way to get all of these molerat bits off of him...

At least the bonus of being chewed on was that you were close to the head, and not wanting to be wet from mole dribble, TG took his two sticks and aimed for the nose. The mole let out a pained squeak before it dropped him, but not before biting his shoe. Feeling very much like a chew toy and smelling like one, the imp scrambled to give himself some distance. "This isn't a class. Stupid professor. No education value whatso-" The mole lunged at him again, cutting his complaining short - for the moment.

As the mole lunged, TG hit - with two bats.

The mole stopped, and then sprayed skull and brain all about the place. TG was left, a bit of brain matter dripping off his horns, and frowned. "Gggggrrreeeaattt." He didn't care about the dead mole, but he didn't want to WEAR it. His coat was going to get dry cleaned 5 times over.

Apparently Yin had managed to get the "bad stick" of the lot, and the professor had destroyed it. Alexander had to text out his new stick, but the creature gazing at Yin had him unsettled and he decided not to whack another one in case he accidentally go the same result.

Alexander by this point had been bitten rather too much for the mantodae's liking. His eyes narrowed at the creature but unless Alexander was severely injured it was not his place to get between the zomboil and the creature. "Well, we have several destroyed. Perhaps they will let us take one with us?" I hope it's head explodes.

It was pure and utter chaos in here with all the students whacking the mole rats. Jericho decided it was probably a good thing to whack another. And so he did. This time around, the creature's head exploded right on contact. Blinking, he stared at the stick, then at the one that was following him around. That was weird.

Rat1: Tamed!
Rat2: explodered!

Alex was unknowingly agreeing with Yin on the whole being bitten to many times thing. He didn't like being some other creatures meal, funnily enough. He was supposed to be at the top of the food chain, not them! With a growl he swung his stick at the molerats head a second time, this time rewarded with...

Yet another explosion of brains and blood and goop. He blinked several times. That had been...rather unexpected.

He turned towards Yin, noting with some satisfaction that between the two of them they had nullified 3 molerats and killed 6 more. Really, that was probably enough work, right?

"Maybe. I mean, I'm sure they're going to expect us to clean up this mess." He said, a little distastefully since cleaning was not Alex's favorite thing to do, even if it meant he could snack on some freshly killed critter in the process.

"We could always ask, I suppose." He began wiping at his face with his free hand, trying to scrape away the worst of the gore. He gave up after a short while though, as it was an exercise in futility at this point.

TG took out a silk handkerchief to clean his horns when another mole, seeing a tenderized boil now free for the taking. lunged at him. Puffing in smoke, the imp materialized and fell back on his hands and knees, before turning around to see the mole had already lunged. "THIS IS CRAZY!" Everyone else seemed too busy to give him any assistance, and he threw one of the bats at the mole. The bat bounced off the mole's noes and clattered off to the side.

Aymet grabbed the necessary equipment and followed everyone into the cave. He'd never been here before, and it was right outside where he lived! He wondered what was so wonderful about it though, because the way it was covered in leaves and pretty sizable rats. More of a 'former' place than a 'wonders' one. Maybe there was treasure at the end. That would be a bonus!

But he wasn't even remotely deterred by the task before them. Smack giant wrinkly rats with a stick? He only had one thing to say to that:



Aymet was so pumped, in fact, that for once he seemed to have good aim. The first rat to charge at him got a faceful of taming stick and an order to get the hell out of his way.

Shaking it's head, the mole charged at him, and with his only bat, TG threw it once again. The result was another brain matter shower, and the boil was left panting hard and looking as bits of skull and tissue clung to his clothes. For someone that was called a humane bat, it really wasn't working. "DONE!" He wasn't doing this anymore. This was NOT his job!

The professor's explanation had made him much better about taming wild creatures, and he had a happy image of the creatures being transported to live in another glowy, dank, but bigger cave than this one. Maybe one of Some Wonders than just Former ones. Either way, just a nice place to call home and as long as they liked it, he would be happy to help. Even if, upon seeing them, they were moles. Regardless of not meeting many moles, he did like the smell of upturned earth and raised his bat.

"Don't worry. We're here to help." He wondered if anyone had ever tried speaking mole to them to tell them they were being relocated to a much better place. Then again, they mist throw a fit if they knew they were being evicted. Better this way.

Or that was Calder thought at first, until he swung his bat and caused one mole to just explode.

Stunned, the kelpie looked at the mole that flopped dead to it's side, to his bat, and then around. His eyes went wide and his ears dropped. "...but....but....better place..." Well, that was one idea of getting them to a better place.

Hey, this was pretty easy! Fun, even.

Another rat reared up and Aymet might have slammed the stick down just slightly too hard on its noggin. It was like smashing a really ugly pumpkin. He delicately picked an eyeball off his shoulder with his claws before he looked down at his clothes.

Calder wasn't going to try using the bat as much anymore, or maybe just tap them, but that idea was dashed when a mole lunged at his side. Out of pure reflex, Calder swung and the head of the mole took off like a baseball bat and exploded in his swing.

Calder dropped his bat and dropped down to his knees, trying to scoop some brains into a pile to somehow have them form together back into a head, but realized it was a lost cause. Frustrated, he rose his hands to the ceiling. "WWHHHYYY??!!!"

A new molerat lunged for the doppelganger ghoul, going for her head. Gene's arm lashed out of reflex, knocking the beasty on the head with the end of the stick that had the glowy stuff. She waited, uncertain. She'd seen other molerats explode from getting hit with the glowy part of the stick.

Dear Jack, please don't let this mini spew its guts all over her clothes.

The Molerat was fine, staring at her in adoration. It quickly fell behind her, next to the other one that she'd tamed. Yay no splodey minis! She rested the stick on her shoulder, content to watch as the rest of the class tamed more of them.

Also, her RPer had to leave for the majority of the day.
