A high screech echoed around the arena as Kumojo protested the removal of her arm. Basan's strike drew another bellow of pain as Kumojo stumbled away from her opponents.
She cradled her stump gingerly while viciously baring her fangs at her opponents. With surprising speed the leaped at her opponents, claws ripping and fangs gnashing.

A stray claw or two found its way to both Hedy and Basan. Hedy gave a nod to her partner and belched a stream of hot ash into Kumojo's face, intending to attack her eyes. Basan moved to strike the gigantic beast's heart while it was blinded--IF it was blinded.

Kumojo ducked her head, hiding her eyes from the ash and invasive smoke. With a snarl, she threw her front arms forward and blocked Basan's attempted surprise attack. She then turned on the spot, keeping away from the ash and smoke and trying to slam her bloated backside into both her opponents.

Hedy screamed as her own flames whirled back into her face due to the sheer air displacement of the massive Youkai. She recovered in time to see Basan dodge the spider-like demon's rolling abdominal thrust, and leaped over it to land beside him. She nodded once to the Youkai. With immense spiritual concentration, Hedy banished Ludwig from her body, forcing him to manifest as his core form, the barbed fork. Together she and Basan took hold of it, and fed their power into the fork, raising the temperature such that it was palpable even in the gigantic arena's nosebleed section. With a shared roar, the Bount and the Youkai flung Ludwig's core like a spear, aiming for the monstrously large demon's heart.

Kumojo shifted just enough to avoid a blow to the heart, but the barbed fork caught her across the belly, ripping open the soft flesh. She reared back, shrieking in agony, and retaliated with a flurry of slashing claws.

Both Bount and Youkai were slapped aside, each feeling the sting of claws against their bodies. Hedy remained lying where she was, drifting in and out of consciousness. Basan stood, his wings spread before her. He gave a screeching cry, and stood to protect his old flame.
"Always a gentlechicken, Basan..." Hedy remarked dreamily, her German accent becoming more and more apparent with every word. "Ludwig! Seiga Dich," she commanded her Spielzeug. The ebony-skinned creature reemerged in a plume of smoke and ash behind Kumojo. He gave a wry glance toward Basan, but knew better than to defy his mistress. Together the creature and his temporary ally charged with new fire toward the massive S-Class, blasting it with red and black flames.

The fire blasts hit Kumojo head on, throwing her on her back. She shrieked yet again, her many legs writhing about in the air above her. Pain wracked her body and even the slightest twitch on her arms made her hiss in pain. With much effort, she managed to push herself back onto her belly. She swatted weakly at her opponents, struggling to keep them away long enough for her to properly recover.

Basan and Ludwig easily outstripped the weakening Youkai's attacks. Basan flew again to a great height and prepared to dive bomb into the soft abdomen of the spider-like demon, while Ludwig launched all six feet of his barbed, hairy frame at Kumojo's eyes, spewing ash as he went.

Both attacks hit Kumojo hard. She could feel her strength leaving her, and the area around her began to blur. She continued to hiss and spit, while acidic saliva began to drip from her fangs.
She made another bit of web and attempted to catch her enemies up in it, intending to wrap them up inside and crush them.

Basan was caught up in the webbing and brought down, but the wily Ludwig rolled out of harm's way. He torched the webbing to free Basan, and the two attacked together, talon joining claw for a deadly dance.

Kumojo somehow managed to avoid the attack, feet scratching eerily on the arena floor. She retaliated with a charge, snapping her jaws at her enemies.

Ludwig was swept up in Kumojo's charge, but Basan made quick use of his great strength, and twisted one gangly arm in toward the giant Youkai's body, impaling soft flesh with the creature's own claws. The pair put some space between them and Kumojo, and attacked together with wide columns of flames.

Kumojo's body shuddered as Basan's claw and arm tore through her flesh. A slimy liquid and flesh began pouring from the wound, leaving a trail of gore along the arena floor as she struggled to escape. She barely managed to dodge the flames, and in one final desperate attack, she threw a web about her opponents hoping to secure them long enough for her to rip into their flesh with her fangs.

Basan threw himself before his former lover, taking a form that was almost human as his Youki dropped to levels so low that he could not maintain his birdlike appearance. He allowed Kumojo to ensnare and punish him, barely surviving the great beast's final onslaught. Hedy growled, and consumed the last of her reiryoku to fuse herself with Ludwig once more, and gutted the massive Youkai, losing consciousness just before being declared the winner of the elimination bout.

As the cheers died down, the second of Year 2's mysterious sponsored combatants entered the arena, heavy footfalls threatening to break the very stone of the flooring. Silvesstre roared madly like the mindless beast that he was, clamoring for his enemies to face him in pitched combat.
