I can stay up 'ere just fi- Another crack indicated it was time to change branches. More preoccupied with watching the wrath demon settled in the snow suddenly, Levi found herself dodging the crackling branches more than actually collecting. He just looked too comfy.
Julian managed to get a fairly big piece of candy at first, but as soon as he plucked it from the branch, it started to crumble on him again. Thankfully this time he was able to get enough normal-sized pieces to use. The basket was almost full now, he’d have to go back to the ground to get a new one soon, but first he’d see what he could get. Careful not to hurt himself on the branches, he moved back out of the tree and took to flying around it again.
Then Levi caught herself watching rather than working. This would not do at all. The tatzel sped up her pace, focusing solely on her picking and dodging the threat of falling down into the now below and losing all that she'd acquired thus far. It wouldn't be till she'd filled her basket excessively that she leapt back down to the ground that a few gumdrops toppled over the sides before she settled the basket down by West. Raising a brow at his well-settled in self, Levi taunted right back. Mind watchin' ma'collection then like a good boil? If yer stayin'ere n' all. The end of her tail flickered a bit of cold snow onto the wrath demon's lap with a toothy grin crossing her face as she moved back over to the baskets, taking another up and ready to go. If West had collected one, Levi was determined to make it double. He had proved himself an adequate candy picker, worthy of bringing home to her Ma, but what would her Ma say if she didn't represent her candy corn-picking heritage genuinely? She would pick more.
Purposefully stepping over West's paralleled form against the snowy floor, Levi headed back toward the gingerbread tree.
Candy picking: Generations of tatzelwurms fueled her boiling blood right now. It was harvesting time.
Julian landed and moved back over to Lumi, setting his now full basket down. "Sorry, I tend to be slow at these kinds of things, especially not in this weather." But when he finally got started he was apparently quite good at it. He grabbed another basket and put the extra pieces of candy into it. He tried to figure out if he should start on another one. It would help… He probably should. "We’re going back soon, aren’t we? I think I’ll try getting one more before then." That said, he gave her a nod and took off again.
That icing was really what seemed to be the trouble. When Levi did carefully tap a candy out of place, the slippery pieces often fell down into the snow below and out of sight for the time being. It was a challenge to acquire another full basket of joyful candy, but Levi was definitely feeling up for it right now. there was the occasional slip up of her footing on the icing, but luckily she was able to keep steady enough by use of her tail to either pick some candy or act as a safety line to keep her from falling and looking like a doink in front of her smart-mouthed mate. No, Levi would not allow such a travesty to happen. It would not happen.
Levi tried her best to avoid stepping into the icing, but this tree seemed to be saturated by the gooey white substance, like a sap gone completely overboard. There was a sloshing sort of stickiness before it got to a point of smooth slipperiness, so Levi tried to make use of this state, continuing to climb higher and higher to avoid falling to her snowy doom.
Gently plucking away at the candy with both hands and her tail, the tatzelwurm was able to make a clean sweep of the area around her this time. Speedily working to collect and fill her basket, the ghoul soon was making her way back down, falling feet first into the snow with an audible crunch.
Turning, she addressed the gingerbread tree, keeping the basket propped over one forearm as a hand patted against the cookie trunk. Ya'did good this time looks like. Git some more goin' fer next harvestin', eh? Atta boil. Did'ja git hurt with'all'a them branches? S'alright, I reckon they'll grow back, don'tcha'worry none. Plants needed a little affection; it was a habit of hers to talk to her vines both at home and at her dorm. If you talked to your crops, her kin believed, they'd feel more at home and produce more. It might have been a Christmas Town oddity, but she'd taken its produce. It was only right to encourage it to produce again as a tree should.
Once her tree loving time was over, Levi carefully dropped her second basket beside her first, flopping down behind-first into the snow beside West. There was a pause of just the tatzel looking up to the sky before her sudden questioning to the demon boil beside her had to begin.
West, ain'tcher tail cold?
She meant the general posterior area, but his tail too was rather thin and unguarded to the elements without any fur to provide protection for it. As per previous run-ins with snow, Levi had dressed appropriately for snow today, but that didn't change the fact that sitting in the snow like this made the bones in her behind feel like stone gone freezing cold. Whoo~ gonna need ta'sit on somethin' toasty after this.
Lumikki had watched Julian flying around and sat slightly amazed. She had seen him do it once before. And that time she had been a little afraid but that was okay, she had after all just met him. Giggling slightly when he came back to grab another basket. Over achiever, sticking out her tongue she just nodded and grabbed another basket putting the 6 other candies in to it. She'd be on a roll if she started right?
"Sounds better than sitting in the snow!"
Placing the 6 overflowing candies in the second basket she looked over at Julian and smiled,
"I'll race ya!"
Knowing full well that him flying would probably beat her any day but it was worth the shot.

As Professor Red dismissed him, AJ grabbed a basket and ready to ram the tree. If hitting the tree can do the job, why he had to climb it. He gave the tree a hard punch.
Several candies dropped from the tree, but also a large heap of snow. The boil was nicely buried by the snow all of a sudden. He dug his way out of it and found some of his candies lost. Well, he can always try again.
Oh well, let's try again, the basket wasn't fill up yet. AJ kicked on the tree again, hoping to get more candies. He waited as the candies fell onto the snow, leaned aside with his hands put in the trousers' pockets. The candy rain didn't not last long. Now it's time to pick up. There were several little pieces, but still they were candies, so the amphisbaena boil put them in his basket. Nearby, AJ spotted a large piece and tried to bring it back, however, a portion of it broke and dropped into a water hole.....When the basket was half full, he somehow plunged into a trap. Jacking! Who set a trap here? He struggled out but unluckily found most of his candies were gone.
Fine. He will do it again. AJ shrugged with a sigh, almost no jobs can be finished without obstacles. He will accept the challenge. He punch on the tree hard to let the candies fall again. Lolipops, chocolates, jawbreakers, gummi bears, smarties, liquorice, sour patch, bubblegum and of course candy canes. The second head was drooling over all of them, attempting to snap on the candies when AJ stopped him. "Didn't you hear what the Professor said? Don't. eat. any!" To avoid putting himself at risk, AJ pulled off his scarf and wrapped it around the mouth of the head. "Behave. I will get you something more tasty later." He got a nod from it. Good.
After dealing with his brother, AJ got back to gather candies, he picked up some lolipops and gummi bears, hope they would supply good joys. Then, he spotted something shinny, sitting at a few distance. So he decided to have a look. He put down his basket and went there, just to discover it was another piece of jawbreaker with glitters in it, how weird. He went back but found most of the candies missing. Thief? The boil raised his eyebrow.
Okay, let's do this again. This time, he held his basket with him, afraid of candies being stolen again. He hit the tree with a lesser force, he was getting bored with this task, though it might save someone. A few candies dropped and he picked them up, slowly and lazily. The candies gathered became more and more, about half of the basket is occupied with different kinds of candies, yummy candy canes, chewy bubblegum, etc. AJ was too bored that he even fell asleep for a while. When there was the sound of snow dropping nearby, probably another student hit the tree and heap of snow dislodged. He stood up and patted the snow off him....
Where's the candies?
His basket was empty, as if he didn't do anything before his nap. Jacking!
Who ever stole his candy must DIE! AJ was angry to know that his candies was somehow all stolen, all his efforts were wasted. He was so mad that he needed to release the anger out right now. The tree next to him seemed a good target, so he punched the tree several times until he calmed down a bit. Candies dropped like heavy rain. Harvest time. He got all the candies in his basket and there was no space for more. Nice. His job was done.
Content in knowing that when things began to happen, he might have a chance to join in and help to get the student back that was lost, Alexander waited until they were allowed to leave. Finding himself back in Christmasland so soon was not something he had really been anticipating, but it was all for a good cause, and in the end would hopefully help them to learn something new about insanity, and at this point, every little bit helped.
Once in the grove of candy trees the zomboil waited patiently for instructions to begin. He let his gaze wander around the assorted trees, frowning a little as Red explained how they should go about getting the candy down. While he was an excellent climber, Alex wasn't so sure if he should trust his death grip in this case not to send him tumbling back down to the snowy ground with a hand full of disintegrated tree.
Picking up one of the baskets and making his way over to the nearest tree that wasn't currently being picked, the zomboil gave it a hard look, then lurched forward to ram into it with his shoulder. A couple of candies fell, but when he put the basket back down he accidentally kicked it over. Shrugging to himself, he gave the tree another solid ram, and collected what he could from what rained down from above, though a lot of it seemed to disappear in the snow, lost to sight.

With one basket filled, the baku was about to head over to another tree in an attempt to gather more candy for the second basket when she realized that someone was trotting after her.
"...Terra?" She blinked back at the reaper ghoul questioningly before turning her body to face her fully. For a moment, Xiu looked quizzical...and then she smiled and emitted a little laugh. "Cold?" Honestly, she was a little chilly herself--she hadn't thought to bring a jacket with her to gym class--so she simply held her arms out to the other ghoul.
