However upon attacks self inflicted or otherwise it absorbs the blood of the injured location eventually until the blade grows red. It takes a blood draw from the base of the blade to the tip before becoming red. This can be executed by the user as if performing a blood summoning by running a finger from the end to tip or causing a significant enough wound on the opponent. Having been led to the offices by the Kitsune, the trip from the gates to here was nearly uneventful. Only the noteworthy ending to the Daimyou's painting was important, though both his demeanor and visual appearance denied any on-lookers of any sense of accomplishment. Coming to a halt, the driver tied the horses up as his assistant opened the country leader's door, making way for the normally depressingly, emotionally static man. Once he had departed from the carriage, the assistant retrieved a now white cloth covered piece of art. "Kitsune," he spoke, keeping a talon'd eye towards the beast, "take me the rest of the way." Complete mastery of even non-humans! Or so he exuded, keeping his thoughts collected on showing leadership capabilities.

The simplistic looking doors parted as the fox entered the room, its tail disappearing through the set of them as it moved over behind the desk that the hokage was currently leaning against. "You will have to forgive me. Ive never been good at formal situations. Nobody forewarned me of your impending arrival. Im not really sure what Im supposed to do now. "Oh, thats rather lovely. I grew up as a Maiko actually. Think ill hang this in the main office when repairs are finished. You said local tea? That i can do." She said, taking a pot and dropping a few herbs from her desk into the water after making sure to check them for tampering. She boiled the water with a gentle surge of katon chakra to make the tea and would eventually pour a cup for the daimyo. "Sorry about the accommodations. Everything is rather tense here right now with the change of the guard. Stuff was never fully rebuilt after the kyubi's last incident. Not to mention these new groups and gangs that keep attacking us. I plan to try and fix that issue altogether but everything is piling up to where its a mass of red tape to sort through before I can do anything about our defenses and arming our troops. Sorry, im ranting just a little." She said, pulling out a chair at a table and taking a seat in the opposite one.

Mortos sat back in his offered chair as the young Kage bounced around the office. She was certainly new to the position, as evidenced from her trying hard to appease, but not just anyone could get this far. Keeping an eye on the tea as it brewed, he marveled at the unique way that Taka had prepared it. Who would of thought to use chakra for everyday purposes, rather than strictly fighting and healing? Certainly not Mortos. "It's quite alright," the aged Daimyou responded, to Taka's sudden flustered appearance. She would get better with time, he thought briefly, before taking a sip. "They say that how tea settles reflects' the brewer's state of mind. Taka, was it," he asked her, extending an understanding. "The tea tells me that you could use some help. If that is clearing away red tape, hiring construction workers, or what have you, just think of it for a few moments. I can enjoy my tea if you would like to relax."

"Yes, you may call me Taka. I actually have a few aliases that ive been called. Many names that shouldn't be repeated in polite company as well. No, call me what you like I think." She said as she fidgeted with a string on her pant leg, stretching it out until it slips from her fingers. She would stay quiet a few moments, collecting some thoughts in her mind before giving an answer. "Heres the situation as it stands. First and foremost; our shinobi are not safe enough in the field. We are a military power with a pretty high mortality rate. This reflects badly on the village as a whole and I personally think we need to better equip our shinobi. This means more advanced gear and better training. Upgrading from our old scrolls to small computer systems. Weve had the tech for a while and apparently just havent used any of it. Our research agreements with suna will help us to make those, but mass production is a thing I dont believe we are capable of just yet. I also want to augment our troops with specialized armor to enhance their capabilities in the field dramaticly. Stealth suits, armored suits and suits that enhance mobility for our scouts. Things to give us more of an edge. " She said sipping her tea. Bitter. She liked it like that so she didnt alter it, inhaling the little remaining liquid from her lips.
"On the note of further equipping our troops...I have taken the liberty and money from my own pocket to fund a small trade fleet. Mortos sat with his legs straight, refusing to cross them, his hands tapping lightly on his tea's cup as he gently held it. Listening with a fierce intensity, the air about him seemed to sizzle, pop, and crack as his Hokage talked lightly about the military. "In all things, there is an agreement of trade. If we allot the funds in one place, another will suffer. I believe that associating with Takumi... is an idea well placed for another day." The pause there was just long enough for him to gather thoughts about Suna, but could easily be mistaken for hesitation. After all, the UHV's ghosting around and terrorizing the countryside could be well attached with Kumo's missing funds. While Taka might not be concerned with it, the countryside was in a state of civil unrest from the hit and run tactics lately boasted by the used-to-be minor UHV skirmishes. Appearing in broad daylight, in civilian clothes no less, torching houses, robbing merchants, and taking out any easily accessible area along the inner borders having to do with shinobi alignments, it did not bode well. Civil unrest, surely and inevitably, led to civil war.

Once she arrived to the door to the acting office, she knocked several times before taking a seat in a nearby chair.
