"Oh you're quite a quick learner," said AJ, watching as the legs knitted the web in a quicker speed, the spider didn't raise its head up but clicked lightly as its response. He wondered if it was a boil or a ghoul, either way, it was a cute youth. The boil put one hand on his waist to lean closely to the spider, it noticed and moved to hide what it was working on with it huge body.

"There's no need to hide."

The spider clicked in adamant tone. "It seems to say 'That'll distract me from my work", AJ" the head joined in. "How do you know?" asked the boil with a smirk. "Instinct!" it perked high up straightly. He cracked up, voice startled the spider that reacted with a jolt. "Jack, Bro, you watch too much soap operas. What're you watching recently?"

"Desperate Housewifesssss!" It hissed in joy.

The boil chuckled again, "Oh my jack. Bro. Oh my." The second web was about the same in strength as the first one, they had to try again.

The next one also failed, but they were making progress. Every time they didn't succeed, AJ would check which part was the problem and discussed with his spider. Even though he didn't think he could understand what those clicks mean, at least he felt they were much closer than at start. It turned out when the spider attacked, the web was dragged away from where it should stay and create weak point. "Ok, I will try to fix the web next time." He patted a fuzzy spider leg.

It was indeed better, AJ removed the web to check on the surface of the dummy. The penetration was slightly shallower than last time, he asked if it used a smaller force and the spider waved its leg in replacement of a head shake. "Good, I seem to catch the tail....." he mused.

"Look." AJ called. "This time we got it very close." The hand with black nails brushed over the surface to feel the small indentation. "Maybe...we tie this and that part together instead of here and here?" He stroke his chin and contemplated.

He sighed in slight frustration, "I don't get it." There was another small indentation over the waist.

Since they had failed a few times, under the principle of practice makes perfect, the spider got better in weaving a web. It only took half of the time it needed of the first time. It didn't upset by the fact they had not succeed yet while others did, it happily showed another sheet of web to AJ, like a puppy waited compliment.

He picked up the web that had a big hole in the middle and showed the spider that he would put his head through. The head demonstrated that in action. "Maybe it's the way that I put the web was wrong?" Three of them stared at the hole, clueless.

He wrapped the dummy in another way, the result was better but still a distance from what Tajana wanted.

"Hmm......" The protection wasn't comprehensive, it was easily pulled away from the dummy.

He knew he probably get easier with other materials, but studying about a material and manipulated with it for a good use was something he found enjoyable. AJ knew picking a shorter and easier path would be faster but won't benefit him much. It wasn't granted that a spider would be there and provide you with silk that you would play with. He won't miss such an opportunity, it was not simply an assignment to be done, but a chance to learn new things.

He wasn't gifted or a talented genius, he merely worked towards his target. In the past, it was to get his parents' attention by getting a good grade. He might be innocent but not stupid, or else he won't get a second place among all the students in the same year. The serpent dragon stretched the web, extended it to check the structure and asked the spider to demonstrate how it knitted in slow motion.
