1. The pollen seeps into its blood and quickly dries it out. The muscles around the area begin to twitch as it swells with irritation. Its breaths become more labored while its heart (or equivalent to it) beats furiously.
2. Midway into applying your mixture, the minipet snaps away and begins to thrash at its restraints with unnatural strength given its state. There isn't fear in its eyes, however; it's distinctly angry at you.
4. Nothing seems to happen at first, but your minipet is watching your every move once it wakens, its eyes almost completely dilated. Without warning it lunges for your hand when you get close enough and nearly does enough to make you bleed. You can see a savage, almost sentient look of pleasure in its gaze as it waits for another chance.

Waits had not been fond of the long amount of travel, nor the destination once he had finally arrived. Jungle settings did have their uses, their particular toxins and venoms to be found and their advantages but the humidity stifled him. The least amount of time he had to stay, the better. But, he pressed on regardless after getting his new set of instructions (thankfully not too delayed after this time as the first part).

Could he also say he was not fond of the task? Yes. This was something he usually left to Lurks but unfortunately his sibling was no where to be found, as were much anyone else given the foliage and surroundings. Waits frowned, shuffling in the forest and pondered just standing around until something came his way.

Thankfully something rustled in some ferns not too far from his persons. The last time he had hunted down a Minipet, he had managed to make use of the layout of the land before resorting to his own weapon of choice. It was no such luck this time making him resort to locating his rope dart which he finally managed to let loose after a little bit of a rummaging.

The creature - as he was unable to identify it yet - let out an annoyed 'baaah.'

The stupid thing continue to allude him and remain in the bushes, making it difficult for the clansman to aim. It was still there though, and it looked like it had an annoyingly pink bow of some sorts on its head.

Even as early into this at he was, this could have easily been a giving up point. Or maybe a break. That seemed rather nice, but once the creature decided to present itself in full, Waits got just the tiniest bit determined to finally capture it.

It was probably the cutesy look of it, with that big bow and the derpy little face. It needed to suffer. Wait's eyes narrowed slightly as he gave his rope dart a small twirl before he shot it forward, managing to latch it around one of the sheep looking thing's little feet. It fell to the ground with another bleat and began to struggle.

The green sheep thrashed against the restraint while Waits tried to reel it in like he was fishing. It wasn't going that well, unsurprisingly with how little effort he was putting forth. It still had energy left to spare to counter his actions, all Waits managed to do was flip it on its other side.

It continued to resist being pulled closer. It pulled back trying to release itself and return to the forest. This would have been another one of those giving up points, but that stupid bow was tormenting him.

Waits didn't managed to produce further injury but at least he didn't let the thing go.

Finally, the green-ish sheep lost a little bit of its footing, allowing Waits to have a moment of the upper hand. The Famine clansman pulled on the rope twisted in his hands and caused the beast to once again falter on its legs and slam into the ground.

He got it at least a foot closer too.

Its strength was depleting, but yet it defied him. This was going to be satisfying to test on when he finally managed to subdue it.

(Still though, this was the sort of thing he made his sibling do. So annoying).

It was pretty evident with how pitifully Waits was doing, he was more or less just whittling away at the life force of the creature. It was a big display of push and pull as the pair of them struggled against the other - and one of them wondering why he was trying so hard (but... science!)

Waits gave the rope of his weapon another yank, the creature continued to bleat in protest even as its face impacted with the ground from the sudden pull. It distance between the two was thankfully getting smaller, and hopefully he was actually getting it weak enough to drug.

With one more pull, only so far from the exhausted clansman, the sheep creature gave out a little sound of defeat. It stopped thrashing, simply lay where Waits had managed to injure it just a little bit more (there were rocks under there it would seem).

Finally. The alchemist grumbled, pulling out the small bag of dust that they had all been given to sedate their finds. With slow steps he approached, not out of caution but out of his usual leisurely pace and flung a little bit of the substance at the Minipet's face. It bit out of spite.

It was out in an instant. (Waits pocketed the rest, hopefully to keep the little bag for later uses. Even on himself, despite the instructions not to).

The Clippy clop didn't have the luxury of being untied from the clansman's weapon or even carefully carried back to the workstation for its fun fun experimental times. It was conveniently tied up already, after all, so in Waits' exit of the forest (finally, how dreadful a place it was), he simply dragged it back.

That atrocious bow never even moved or got out of place. It was at least dirty though.

Once returned to the work station, Waits honestly pretty lamefully secured the creature down for the tests. In part he wanted to see it struggle as much as possible, and restraints might have hindered observations but really it was mostly because he just didn't have the time or care to do it properly. Besides, it had been heavy to get it on the table as it was, then he had to tie the thing up?

This was, of course, just folly waiting to happen as soon as he applied his wicked balm to every open wound he could find - especially the face. The poison reacted as quickly as he had been warned and even without turning away, the Clippy clop let out a shriek and bolted to all fours. It reared, it oddly hissed and attempted to snap at the clansman's boney fingers. (Already he could see this as one of those times that it would have been lovely to give up, but alas). It bounced from the table, limped on in its anger. A few pots found themselves broken in its wrath and it made a few circles around the work station and soon attempted to go at Waits, even in its weak state. He simply watched it with bored eyes as if watching his sibling on a tantrum and then struck when he saw the opening.

There had been a hammer on the table and then in his hand which then met the side of the creature. The two objects collided, and then the fluffy sheep hit into the table. Seeing his chance, the powder was produced - a little sadly, the supply was being used once again. And the creature was out.

He didn't bother this time to place it on the table and let it remain wedged against the table, uncomfortably positioned as it could manage to be. At least in such a way he had a little more access to the wounds, more points of entry for his concoction and more possibilities for pain. And oh, pain there was as it thrashed some more as effects began to take place and in those beady little eyes he could see the anger. And that anger only made him pleased.

Not too soon after the pollen caused the muscles to spasm, oh what the sheep must be feeling he mused as he observed and made mental notes. Breathing was beginning to labor but all he could do was softly smile as he gently pressed a hand to the fluffy side and continue making mental notes of what was transpiring before his eyes.
