Haituro sat as he was told to. It took a little bit of effort as his arms and well everything was aching. He managed to do so and listened as the Raikage spoke. 'I'd like to present you with a promotion. A jounin here.' Haituro's eyes grew wide. He... did he just jump two ranks? Haituro blinked and shook his head. Then noticed Kaileer enter the room as the Raikage adressed him. Haituro shot a dark, angry look at him. "Ah, yes, there was a reason I came here Lady Raikage." Haituro not taking his eyes off of Kaileer.
"The battle at the temple, the one that left me well, like this." Haituro raised his arm gingerly to display bandages wrapped around him making him look more mummy than shinobi. "This young man," Haituro looked at Kaileer, "as well as another shinobi, not only abandoned me, but left me to die, if it wasn't for Wanryoku I would be dead right now." Haituro turned back to the Raikage, and continued. "I understand I endangered them but it was an honest mistake, a calculated risk, yes it put them in danger but if it had succeeded they wouldn't of had to fight at all." Haituro paused trying not to look toward Kaileer. "I had no idea that genjutsu would be absorbed as well, at the time I believed it would only be Ninjutsu, something visible, physical if you will." Haituro let this sink in and offered the opportunity for Kaileer and the Raikage to respond.

There are several dozen tons of lumber and steel that need to be brought to the village and its utterly crucial they get here safely and in a timely manner. This will test your ability to lead and organize a crucial skill for a jounin. IF there are no questions your dismissed." Turning to Kaileer he would assign him a mission as well," Kaileer, your mission is to locate Wan and via messenger bird report back here. If possible stabilize his condition."

-----тhe Raikage acknowledged my presence after addressing the now jounin, Haituro, and then asked about Wanryoku. I stepped forward to speak, but no sooner had I opened my mouth that Haituro spoke. -----I had a history of anger management problems. I wasn't about to deny that. And to be honest, Haituro was lucky I didn't explode, even if it would have probably ended with the snot being beaten out of me. But the second he accused Samuru and I of "abandoning" him, anger swelled almost to the point of attacking him. Almost. Maybe it was my exhaustion or maybe I was finally learning to control myself that I held back, and for the moment, I ignored the new 'jounin'. He was awfully high in ranks to be tattling to the Raikage about a genin. -----Silently releasing a deep breath, I focused on the Raikage. "Wanryoku is currently unconscious at the Anbu Headquarters. He seemed to have been poisoned, but a medic helped him. That's all I've seen of him." I shifted my weight to my left leg. "Besides that, a brief search has already led to the bodies of thirteen shinobi, and countless villagers. There are survivors hiding in the remains of the Headquarters, though." -----I turned to look at Haituro then, eyes ablaze with fury, but decided to be the mature one and stepped back again. If the Raikage wanted details about what exactly had happened when Samuru and I "left him to die", she was welcome to ask for them, but it was left to Haituro to look the fool for trying to cause a dramatic scene. I felt Kinpaku to be the one to make a level-headed decision in the situation to not let him throw his fit. -----I'd barely settled into my new position when someone else showed up. I recognized him as Myurai. Frowning slightly as he dished out commands like he owned the place, I waited until he was done speaking, which took some time because he was apparently longwinded, to answer him. "As I literally just told the Raikage, Wanryoku is at the Anbu Headquarters, currently being stabilized by a medic." What I would have liked to know is how he knew Wanryoku was even in any danger. There was no possible way he could know. My gaze returned to Kinpaku, and I awaited her response.

Surprise and joy reigned for only a moment, when Haituro spoke up yet again. The encounter at the temple --had she even ordered the young man to the temple? No, she didn't quite believe so-- had left the young man battered, and his gaze turned to the genin's for a moment to explain where his wounds stemmed from. Wanryoku had made his way up to the village temple. The others had made a retreat, when he had endangered them. An honest mistake. Calculated? An encounter which would have ended immediately. His explanations were so very vague. It irritated her. "So, you endangered your allies in a now-vain attempt for glory?" the performer asked, sitting on a mound of stone, jutting out.
She'd planned on tearing into him for his irresponsibility when ice appeared and shattered to dust, revealing Myurai. He'd jumped on all the obvious points, and the fact that Haituro's purpose was different --and must be so-- from here on out. After which, her adviser pleaded for his case with inexperience as the young man's plight. "I'll debate on what to do about your endangering your allies a bit later, for now, we have need of materials, and Myurai has directed you their way. Unless you have other complaints?"
Kaileer spoke of Wanryoku's status. He was in the bunker, recuperating with the medics. That was of value. They'd kept Wanryoku then. As distressing as their first encounter had been, it was relatively reassuring. Kaileer had taken the initiative to check the bodies for survivors. "Have you identified the remains?" Kinpaku inquired with a sigh. Thirteen more names to add to the list she had failed to save. "For your initiative, I'll have the staff below reward you for that. I hope the families will find peace in regards to losing their loved ones, if they have any left." Myurai had bothered to relay the young man a mission, which was already completed. A sheet of paper, she scribbled numbers for the young man. "You're a promising young man, Kaileer, despite complaints. I'll send someone to you to take your account of the encounter at the temple. The four of yours, specifically. I hope your advancement to chuunin isn't too sudden, as Haituro's advancement to jounin was." Most of the information was doled out at this point. "We'll begin reconstruction once we get our materials, if you can pass it on to any able bodied shinobi to assist, I would be most grateful." Myurai's barging interruption must have meant some kind of "clear the room" bit. She waited for responses, and for them to nod and scatter as was usual after promotions, so very eager to learn.

Despite the sudden promotion to Jounin Haituro could feel his temperature rising. It was rare for him to become angered but man these people knew how to push his buttons. Haituro let out a low sigh a deep sigh and calmed himself before he struggled to his feet. "Yes sir! Right away sir!" mockingly. Haituro raised an accusing eye brow to Myurai as well. Haituro turned and limped from the office closing the door behind him. He turned to walk down the stairs and slammed his fist against the wall releasing some of the pent up rage.

Thank you for the information." Turning to watch the Raikage cross a few more names off the list he sighed. He wondered if she knew that his family had fallen in the fighting as well when the blue dragon was destroyed. He had been crushed by the loose but he couldnt let it show not even a bit he had to be strong and help the recovery any way he could. Once the office had cleared out he sighed as he collapsed into a chair along the wall. He held his right hand up examining the bandaged burns. After a moment of silence and resting he began," Kojin has fallen. The young girl that was here earlier. I cannot feel the seal I placed on her anymore. I cant help but wonder if our delay cost her her life. With all the death of the past few days makes you wonder just how much the village can recover from. Whats our next move from here? I know repair the village but how do we assign priority ?"

-----ι felt a little of my lost pride return when the Raikage turned Haituro's words back on him. She didn't ask questions about what happened, and reprimanded the young man with what might as well have been a smack across the face, if it had been physical. He had put us in harms way. I don't know about Samuru, but if it hadn't been for his mistake making me lose my focus, I might have been able to avoid the attack that sent me running. It didn't matter whether or not it would have worked, the point was that it hadn't, and had almost gotten the two of us killed. -----I waited until after Haituro had stormed out to answer her, all the while suppressing my elation. I had been ranked up? I was convinced I hadn't done much in aiding the village, but perhaps what I had done was more recognized than I thought. Turning back to Kinpaku, I tried to focus again. Who's bodies had I found? I didn't know all of their names. "I found Black, Doki, and the genin Higure at the Anbu Headquarters, along with six I didn't know. Suzume and another genin were at the Academy, and," I took a deep breath before finishing, "the genin Kazumi and Viktor, along with his companion, in the ruins of Edible Creations. My guess is they died in the initial explosion. I moved the bodies of all of them so that they were out of danger of further damage." Taking another step away, I remembered she had said something else. "I'll pass on the word." -----That said, it was pretty obvious Myurai was trying to rush me out. I bowed respectfully to them, and headed out.

It was difficult to handle, listening to the names. Doki had held things together while she'd been incapacitated, a threat which loomed ever overhead. Suzume had been around forever practically... The genin stung just as badly as the few she had even bothered to call friends. It stung so very much. They had been cut down before ever reaching their prime. Kaileer was pretty complacent, and went on his way to do as she had asked. Next came Myurai's approach, easing himself into a chair. The runaway was dead. Good news to perk her up, as morbid as it sounded. "Myurai, if our delay hadn't, I like would have," Kinpaku admitted rather soundly. The village couldn't be taken as weak, even as battered as it was. They'd reconstruct quickly, shake it off. Fortify. "I intend to work on some things to obscure our mountains further. That'll take some studying, but I'll make it happen. I'm going to leave the gates to your attention. I expect to see something interesting."

Death ? just to kill people ? It couldnt be that simple. He slammed his burned fist into the armrest as he stood slowly. He had no waver no quiver no change of misinterpretation within his voice," Milady those gates will have to wait. I'm going hunting. This isnt about revenge any more. They bled us so Ill bleed them and get some answers in the process. Will you be able to afford me being gone for awhile ?"

It seemed the revelation of names had struck home for Myurai as well. The village priorities seemed so far away for the two, had Kin not lost one of her flasks, she'd likely have drained it in that instance. "Make sure none of them make it back to their precious homeland," Kinpaku stated sternly, knowing his intentions. "No survivors after interrogation. Understood?" Kinpaku had much to cover now that she'd made it through the endeavors, stronger than before. She'd make due without Myurai for the time being.

-----Arriving took something of an hour, his body remaining exhausted even after all the fights and healings he had taken. He was worn down, but had to report to the Raikage about what had happened for him, as well as to ask what had happened to the giant flaming cat. Taking a deep breath, he moved forward and entered the tower, making each step seem like a thousand. The instant he reached the top he opened the door, opening it to reveal the lady Kage there. Sighing at finally finding his target, he stepped into the room and bowed slightly, groaning as he did so before standing straight once more. "Kinpaku."

The raikage was sitting in her place, as was before, when at long last someone else came to visit. She'd been pondering on going out to visit. In this case, it had been the giant to arrive, when he groaned and spoke her name rather simply. It wasn't as though he had the freedom to address her as such, but there were none about: She'd let it go this time. "I'm glad you showed up, I wanted to let you know that as of today, you are a jounin to our administration from this point onward," the raikage informed the giant, knowing of what he had done and the efforts he'd gone to to fight back the invaders with the rest of the village.

-----Ҕearing those words was not quite a surprise for Wanryoku, who had suspected that his actions would likely earn him such a position, especially after Kaileer had been made into a chunin. From the looks of things, becoming Jonin did not mean the same thing as it had in his village, which had been far more militaristic than even the shinobi nations here were known to be. He considered what to say, what to do, and came up with nothing. The people of this side of the world were often prickly about customs, and customs were not something he was used to considering when dealing with people. His usual custom was to drink with his friends, beat the s**t out of his enemies and throw them out of town. Here that did not seem a good choice. Placing Zangai down gently, creating only a small crash that rattled everything in the room, Wanryoku leaned against the wall and slid down to a sitting position, eyes never leaving Kinpaku. There were new scars on his body, a nice bruise on his neck from what looked like a choke hold, and bits of skin that still bore third degree burns that had yet to be treated. There were more bruises and lacerations than perhaps there was even skin, but he seemed to bear it well. Harumphing quietly as his body finally began to loosen up, Wanryoku got back to considering how to respond.
-----He settled at last for something...normal? "I...Thank you, 'Kage. But..." He seemed to struggle with his words, considering what to say at this point. "What is Jonin here? What be duties? Will I hunt the one survivor I not find?" That stung him more than anything else, that he had been forced to flee from combat. Yet some overwhelming god-force had overruled his trained technique to make his weapon, Zangai, completely weightless, and that had told him the last remaining one had to be something stronger than even a Shuhan, or rather, Kage. Yet that did not stop him from considering how best to hunt the b*****d down, to end his life and the blemish on his honor. More..."More Important, how is...village..." His words seemed to be chewed off, as if just speaking was causing him pain. Perhaps that was why he was clenching the left side of his jaw?
