Lan, I know the details because I have an adviser. It's actually Konin, and you can fight. Killing is forbidden though. Not even with the consent of your opponent. You can break them, you can drive them insane, but killing them is absolutely forbidden. Think of it like you're a ninja hired to do the job, and that its in your contract.

Nana, the bio... Well, they just want something there. Not everyone reads bios word for word. One thing you should have done was set one of your attributes so you could learn bloodlines faster or something. Once you learn them, you don't even have to really pay attention to if you learned them yesterday or six year ago.

Nana; just learn them. You can't learn them all yet, but you can get working on them once you leave. Once they're learned, it doesn't matter if you did it when you were three, or if you did it the day after tomorrow. >.>
