Rei began pulling herself off the floor, laughing darkly to herself. But her movements were slow, she was getting up very slowly.

Behind the pillar, the boy began muttering to himself. The other one hit him in the head and pulled him back into the shadows.

"You..." she laughed again, this time manically. "I'll cut you into little pieces!" She erupted into giggles. She let vines sprout from the ground and coil around her to make it harder for Alex to take control.

"Wow, thanks," Jordan said once she was back up. Not only was the dull feeling from the poison gone, but she also felt rejuvenated as far as her powers went.

"Here. Bring her down here" Dr. Stanfield called to Avery and motioned her to go down to where he was.


Spencer stepped in to help with the manipulation.


Christopher focused his mind onto what Rei was thinking. Perhaps he could find a weakness.


Alex started making the shadows go up and start wrapping around Rei. Unfortunately this was making it a littler harder for Christopher to focus on her mind.

Rei's mind was a complete garbled mess. To someone analytical like Christopher, it would appear a complex maze. Of course, to someone different like, say, the Pres, it would be simple to decipher her thoughts. Christopher could, however, read into about half of her movements before she made them. The other half of hers were spontaneous or instinct.

Avery looked over to Dr. Stanfield and tugged Jordan in that direction. The creepy girl was being suspicious, though her mind was almost too scrambled to read.

Ali let her jaws slacken and opened her mouth wide. They felt a little stiff now. She hoped the picture turned out okay, and took the foam-thing out of her mouth and asked.

Dr. Stanfield took Jordan and used his healing powers on her. "She'll probably still be tired, but from using so much energy, not from the venom in those plants" he said.

Christopher tried to decipher Rei's thoughts, but found them too complicated and harder to get after a while. Therefore he tried to utilize what he did know.

Alex tried to make the shadows squeeze tighter and tighter around Rei.


"Well then, we'll have to go see" Dr. Sullivan said, "be a good girl and stay here while I go develop them, unless the assistant is still here". He removed the heavy apron from Ali and walked out of the dental office.

Ali clapped her shoes together impatiently while she waited.

Avery looked to Rei and tried to sort through her mind as Christopher had done. It vaguely reminded her of the pres's thought process, and having had a few years of experience with him she managed to wiggle her way through everything but the spontaneous stuff. Which was distracting enough in it's own right.

The dental assistant was just gathering her things to leave and Dr. Sullivan asked her if she could be so kind as to develop the x-rays before she left. She sighed, but complied.

Dr. Sullivan returned to the dental office. "Well, the assistant is still here so I asked her to do it" he said. He then placed a dental bib around Ali and put the chair back. He positioned his dental inspection light and his tray of dental tools. The dentist took a seat in a rolling chair and grabbed an excavator pick and a dental mirror. "You ready? Open wide!" he said to Ali.

Rei clamped her jaw hard as the vines dug deep into her skin to keep her in place. She stared madly across the floor and vines began popping up like crazy, almost completely out of control. "Uppity rats! I'll snip off your little whiskers!" she exclaimed before laughing maniacally.

Jordan stretched out her fingers and shot up into the air, attempting to draw the vines away so Avery and the Doctor could focus on something else. But the vines were so random that it didn't really help, yet she was still dodging vines, trying not to get whacked. Even though Avery had somehow healed her energy, she had used her powers a great deal on the way down, and was fast losing power.

Ali scrunched her eyes closed and opened her mouth as wide as she could. She tried to squint open a bit to see what Dr. Sullie was doing.

Christopher began shooting fire at the branches popping up.

Spencer was using his manipulation powers to take fire from once vine and use it to set another on fire.


Alex was still trying to squeeze Rei with her own shadows.

Dr. Sullivan stuck the mirror in Ali's mouth and then began picking away at her teeth. "See, this isn't so bad. Right?" he asked as he scraped away.

Zaias saw the peeking and shook his head, ducking it so the grin wouldn't distract Ali. That kid. Always hilarious.

Whit finished his meal alone and dejectedly sat back in his seat. He posed. Much as Dr. Marsh had previously in the day when he'd come up with his epiphany.

Rei coughed and more of the vines began to focus on Alex. She was now breathing rather heavily, though that problem might have been solved if she would stop laughing like crazy for a few second.

Ali made a kind of adorable squeaking noise, and tried to look at Zaias, but she couldn't see him around the Doctor's hands. She looked left and right. The feel of the tools in her didn't exactly hurt, but she definitely didn't like it. But Zaias was watching, she she set her eyes and breathed slowly.
