"You're okay kiddo," Zaias said leaning his head around to take his own look at what the doc was doing.

Avery broke free from the mental tangle that was Rei's mind and although thoroughly confused shouted at the top of her lungs. "Hey look!" which was accompanied with a point. "A Squirrel!....and it's eating BIRDSEED!"

Avery kept up the point but took a moment to look at Dr. Stanfield who was nearest to her and shrug.

Rei paused and her mind went blank. Into it entered a squirrel. The squirrel nibbled...and turned the seed, then nibbled again. Nibble, turn, nibble, turn, turn, turn, nibble....nibble...tur-.....ni-....ni............................

"Oh no...and I thought it would..." the boy sighed. "We need to leave, Rei's lost it," he whispered. It kind of came out as a whine.

"..." Jordan stared as, After whatever Avery shouted, the vines began moving back and forth rhythmically before falling still.

Avery just shrugged again and dropped her hand.
She couldn't help it. The girl was clearly not all there. She looked up to Jordan and waved her down. She seemed to be getting tired.
Now that the vines weren't spreading the maliciousness around quite as much her senses were coming back much clearer.
Speaking of. Avery looked over to where the boy and the black thing had been before. Their imprints were fading.
Because they were leaving.

"Hey!" Avery said to the group in general and pointed again. She seemed to be doing that a lot lately.

Spencer, Christoher, and Alex all released their powers and gave a sigh of relief.


Alex still kept a close eye on Rei, ready for any attack she might whip up next.


Dr. Sullivan continued to scrap and pick Ali's teeth. "I take that as a yes? Good" he said and continued along Ali's mouth with the excavator, occasionally wiping it on some gause on the tray.

And I couldn't help but notice somebody answered '-~-'

The boy jerked as Avery called out and he ran forward, managing to drag Rei along with him until he reached the other guy. Together they faded away, seeming to disappear into the shadows.


(( Okay, since I'm guessing nobody caught this, the big bid boss has darkness, right?

So then...why the the door react that way when Alex used his darkness I'ras?

...genius, right? ))

Avery didn't move as the crazy girl was hauled away and didn't much care. Now that the darkness was fading, she could sense her prey once more!

(YESSSsss! Demon dog! It has her BAG! scream )

Dr. Marsh had finished his brooding as well as his planning and left his office whistling a zippy tune.
He was rather pleased with himself. Even Ms. Powers had been delighted by the prospect of his little idea. How she'd giggled at the prospect!

Ending his song on a warbling high note Mr. Marsh headed out the building to his car. In all his excitement he'd quite forgotten to eat, and although the starving artist look was always in, he'd much rather go with his 'suave accomplished' veneer any day.

Sliding his oakleys down, Mr Marsh vroomed the convertible around the fountain and out the front gates. Aiming for the Hawk's Nest and dinner.

Ms. Powers hung up the phone and giggled again. Mr. Marsh seemed stuck up a lot of the time but every now and again he did surprise you with something awfully thoughtful. The students would just love this surprise. They always complained about this certain thing too, even though most of them thought themselves too old or mature.
In any case! A days job well done.

She gathered up her papers and headed off to Dr. Stanfield's office to check and see whether Ali would again be spending the night at her house.

Jordan landed heavily on the ground. "Are they..gone?" she peered into the darkness, and it seemed as if they had disappeared, kind of like what Alex did. Except those guys couldn't have all been shadow wielders. She knew for a fact that girl had two green eyes.  

[Zetao]

"Yes" Avery confirmed. "I can't feel them anymore."
She went over to Jordan as if to see with her eyes as well.

Dr. Marsh parked and locked his convertible automatically. He pushed his shades up before whipping them off and folding them away properly in his jacket pocket. He headed for the Hawk's Nest with the thought of a chicken Caesar salad.

Dr. Sullivan put the excavator back on the tray and took another one. He began wiggling it against Ali's teeth to see if any were lose. One was a little bit. "Hmm. You may start losing your baby teeth in the near future. Your big girl teeth will grow in their place" he said as he wiggled along her teeth.


Alex was all sweaty. He didn't like it. It was ruining his nice good uniform.


Spencer walked over to where Jordan was. "You feeling alright? You need help?" he asked her.

Jordan blinked slowly as the effects of the adrenaline that had been pumping through her system began to slide away. "I could definitely use a nap," she said rather breathlessly. If she had been next to one, she would have sagged against a wall. She couldn't imagine how tired she'd be if Avery hadn't been there.

Ali squished her hands into balls, anticipating getting big girl teeth.

"So what do we do now?" Christopher asked.


Dr. Sullivan took another excavator and began poking at Ali's gums around the teeth with one end, and switching to the other end to scrape in between her teeth. "You're being a very good girl for staying very still" he said to her as he continued his scaling procedure.

While he was working, the assistant brought in the X-rays and put them up for observation. She then smiled at Ali, said goodbye, and headed out.
