Artemis slowed her pace as she was out of Xavier's sight. Her crimson eyes were lighter now, and she looked up at the sun through the treetops, sighing softly. She muttered something, that could be herd if you were close enough. Closing her eyes, she stood still, her face still tilted up slightly, and her arms placed across her stomach. She looked calm on the outside, but who knew what she was really feeling on the inside.

"You okay?" Nightsong asked lightly.

Artemis nodded, not openeing her eyes, and remaining still. "I am fine, Nightsong." she said simply, her voice showing no emotion at all except for the calmness in which she was showing on the outside.

"Tell the truth about your inner feelings. I know a lie when I hear one," Nightsong sighed.

Artemis opened her eyes, and looked at him, showing anger. "What do you want me to say Nightsong? That everyone hates me except for that dipstick back there?! The fact that I hate being hated?! And the fact that no one will ever love me?! Well I don't care anymore! I'm tired of it! LEAVE. ME. ALONE!" she screamed, turning before he could see her tears, and running out of the forest, towards the house, and she didn't stop, until she was in her room. Slamming the door behind her and locking it, before pressing her back against the wood, and sliding down until she was in the sitting position, her knees to her chest, and her head buried.

Nightsong narrowed his eyes when she yelled at him about all of that. "Nightengale. Pardonner. You hear that?" he asked gently to himself. Yep. She doesn't like to be hated. She thinks she's so unloved. Apparently she doesn't get the fact that we, no... That I'm not loved by anyone. She's not alone, but I'm too young for such things people call love. "But of course. I may not love her, but I like her. She's an intriguing woman," he purred walking back to the house.

Artemis sat there in her room for a few moments, her face buried, and the silent tears running down her face. Then, her tears stopped, and she brushed the tears from her cheeks, standing up. She pushed a strand of hair from her face, and she laughed lightly, realizing this was the second time today she had cried, she was becoming a wreck!

Nightsong sat down on the couch as he clicked on the tv and turned it to cartoon network. "When she's done she'll come back downstairs, gentlemen," he murmured to his other two personalities.

Artemis changed her clothes into something more comfortable, which included high-waist shorts, and a dark purple Black Veil Brides top. She ran a comb through her pal hair, and fixed her makeup, looking beautiful as always, but she felt like an ugly beast on the inside. When she was done changing, she walked out of her room, and downstairs into the kitchen, getting herself a drink and a sandwich.

Nightsong kept his gaze on the tv although his mind was focused more on Artemis's presence than what was on the screen. "Feeling a bit better?" he asked lightly.

Artemis walked into the living room, drink and sandwhich in hand. "Nope." she said, walking past him and sitting on her large leather chair. She took another bite of her sandwich, her eyes going to the TV.

Nightsong let out a soft chuckle as he clicked off the tv and turned towards her. "I know exactly how you feel. You can't find a lover because a lot of people are scared of you. I can't find ANYONE to even show a hint of care for me, because I'm supposedly mentally unstable 'cause I think that Lucifer is my father. Scratch that, I know he is, but he claims not to have a child called Pardonner, Nightengale or Nightsong. How do you think that makes me feel?" he replied keeping a cold gaze on her as he spun the remote in his hand.

Artemis looked at him for a few moments, watching him carefully. She was silent for a few moments before the calm words escaped her lips. "Anyone? Really, Nightsong? It makes you feel unwanted, out of place, hated. I know how it makes you feel. Angry? Yes. Alone? Of course, that's why you created Pardonner And Nightengale. I know how you feel. But don't you dare say that no one cares about you, when I know I do." she said, her eyes turning a dark shade once again, as she stood and moved from the room gracefully, her face showing no emotion at all.

"Then don't you dare say no one likes or loves you. I know I like you. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me," Nightsong replied his gaze softening slightly as he clicked back on the tv. "Have I made myself transparently clear on that subject? You may be the mistress, but I still have a will that doesn't take orders from others."

Artemis furrowed her brows, placing her hands on her hips and turning towards him. "So much for my dramatic exit." she said with a sigh, before moving back into the room and sitting on the chair once more, a frustrated look upon her face as she thought about his words.
