((Hitmonlee landed while you were having your conversation with Spike, dude))
Blind spot? No such thing when you've got your trainer watching your back. Wayne spotted the small break in the ground and immediately yelled, "Get down!"
Hitmonlee dived to the floor as Spike erupted from the earth, sliding to the ground, his back to the floor, looking up at his opponent who soared above him. Smashing his foot into the ground with such force as to make it quake had another effect; it forced Hitmonlee's leg to spring back up and compress sharply. With his back to the ground and Spike overhead, all Hitmonlee had to do was aim and release.
He didn't need to shoot for a weak spot this time, though assuming Spike was spinning horizontally, the Drilbur's underside would be wide and open. If he were spinning vertically then his shield of claws would be Hitmonlee's target. Even with a double Iron Defense, it didn't mean much to Hitmonlee's kick.
As the Pokédex describes, Hitmonlee's foot turns as hard as diamond on impact. Diamond is harder than Iron. Combining the short time frame, Spike's momentum making airborne maneuverability impossible and the fact that Hitmonlee can block the spin's damage with his foot, he was pretty safe in striking. His leg shot out with as much force as his pseudo-earthquake, packed with a diamond tip.
Assuming Spike couldn't teleport, it'd smash into the mole pokémon and send him flying high into the air. Very much not in his element. If Spike blocked with his claws then the diamond-hard foot would likely smash right through them; even if the claws remained intact, the force of the kick would still send Spike flying.
Unless he could levitate, Spike would likely succumb to gravity and crash with incredible force while Hitmonlee got back to his feet with a roll and prepared for any more attempts.

[LOCATION: NUVEMA TOWN]
It was a few minutes past ten in the morning when Winterson had arrived in Nuvema Port, that is, coming from Castelia City, where he and his grandfather were living now. He had been in Unova for a few weeks now, and after settling in the new region, in the new place, the willful teen decided to leave his grandfather and his home to start an adventure. According to his granddad, he was supposed to meet somebody here in Nuvema Town. Though, he had already forgotten the name.
Winterson headed for the port exit, all the while, paying attention to his Xtranceiver. It was a nifty gadget, one out of the two gifts that he had gotten from his grandpa after leaving Castelia City. He began to call his grandfather, finding it a bit difficult to use such a gadget for the first time. The device rang, and in a few minutes, there was a response, along with the visual projection of his grandfather over the screen.
"Hey, grandpa. Just wanted to let you know that I'm in Nuvema Town now," he said, smiling at the watch-like communication device on his wrist.
"Ah, sonny! Good for you," the old man answered. "Only took a few hours on sea, I see. Well, what else do you need? Don't tell me you forgot, now, did you?"
"You can read me so well, grandpa," the boy smiled. "Well, I wanted to know who exactly I was looking for," said Winterson.
"You should be looking for professor Juniper. She's probably in her lab right now, not too far from the port, I believe. According to the daily customers, if you're lucky, she might even give you a Pokemon as a gift, to start out with your journey. Well, either way, you should go pay her a visit. People say that she is usually fond of new trainers," his grandfather teased, chuckling over the communications device.
"Oh please, not that again," Winterson whined. "I'll find myself a girlfriend soon, so don't you worry, alright. For now, my dreams come first," he added quite confidently. "Okay, then. Thanks grandpa. I'll be sure to give you a call again sometime soon. Goodbye!"
"Goodbye, sonny. Good luck on your journey!" his grandpa bid him, and then, the Xtranceiver slid to a close.
Walking towards the town, towards the residential area, Winterson noticed a peculiar establishment different from the rest of the houses. A house with a slightly different build, plus, a tower which seemed to be used for observations, and a tall windmill just right by the house itself. He headed for that house, and upon arriving by the fence, had discovered that this was the place that he was looking for. Winterson smiled.
Slowly, he made his way towards the door. He climbed a few steps along the way, and soon, he made it to the wooden porch where the door was waiting for him. Beside it was a doorbell, and with a finger, Winterson pressed the button, and a peculiar melody rang through the area.
"Hello?" he called. "Is anybody home?"
((Do I RP as the professor or do you guys RP as her?))

((I believe Artemis is gonna RP as Professor Juniper Jr.))
N put his hands into his pockets and shook his head. “Actually, I’m here to challenge one of the Striaton City Gym Leaders to a badge match,” he told the waiter. He peeked past the blue haired boy at the inside of the restaurant, which did in fact have people seated and eating. What a strange building.
“Do you know if any of these gym leaders are around?”

Cress nodded. "If you would please follow me, sir," he said and he'd lead N into the restaurant.
They would move passed the tables of people in the center to the more sought after tables near the back of the building. In this area stood an arena with glass surrounding it, a particularly sturdy bit of glass that would keep Pokemon from harming those at the tables watching.
Cress stopped in the middle of the arena and he turned around to face N, a soft smile on his face.
"I am delighted to see a challenger today. However, my brothers are not in at the moment. That may serve as a complication toward your goal but we'll see about that.
"My name is Cress, would you please tell me your name as well as the species of your starter Pokemon?"

So there was an arena in the back of the restaurant? To N, it seemed to be there solely for the purpose of having an entertaining battle while eating in the café. What kind of psychological effect did this have on the pokemon inside? There was so many factors to consider.
“My name is N,” he told Cress. From behind his leg came that purple flicker of light again, this time completely forming a small fox like shape. The Illusion cancelled, revealing a small black canine looking pokemon standing timidly behind N.
“And this pokemon is a Zorua.”

Zorua, a dark type Pokemon and thus it was neutral to the three types that the brothers used. Because of this it meant N could fight Cress. Cress smiled at the little Pokemon. "It's a good Pokemon, I can tell from looking at it," he said.
The Pokemon hadn't been visible before, had it? Cress hadn't noticed anything. Either way, he wasn't going to comment on it.
"I do so hope you are prepared to face my esteemed water Pokemon and myself." Cress bowed slightly. "The battle will be one against one, standard regulation rules."
Cress produced a Pokeball from his apron and he let the Panpour free from his ball.
Panpour appeared with a happy grin on his face. "Pan!" he shouted as he danced to nonexistent music.
"Anytime you are ready, please feel free to begin."

N walked to the back of the arena, with his Zorua following him. Of course Cress was one of the three gym leaders, given the circumstances. The probability had been very high from the start.
He spun on his heel when he got to the end, facing Cress on the opposite side. The green haired trainer looked down at his Zorua, who was staring down the dancing Panpour without expression. "Zero, are you ready? We don't have to do this if you don't want to."
Zero shifted her eyes so she could look up at N, and then nodded. [Whenever you want to begin, N,] she reassured him. N nodded back, then looked up to Cress once more.
"Okay then. Zero, Dark Pulse attack."
On N's command, the Zorua opened her mouth and fired a beam of purple and black circles of energy at Panpour. The attack carved through the ground underneath it as it headed onto a collision course with Panpour.

"Dodge it an-
Panpour was moving already, jumping out of the way of the Dark Pulse attack. The attack crashed into the back of the arena, exploding against the wall.
"d Work Up."
Panpour began to utter sections of his name in fast repetition as he jumped around, his power growing along with the movement. A seemingly limberness came with it, but this was just an illusion, if anything it was closer related to pumping ones self up for combat.
"Water gun," Cress said next and Panpour fired his own attack at the Zorua.

The first attack hadn't worked, but N hadn't relied on it to. He needed to get a calculation on Panpour's speed before he could truly make a good call on when Zero should attack. Pokemon battles could all be brought back down to numbers.
This was his job as a trainer: being the eyes that his pokemon could not be. And, simultaneously, making the correct calculations to move. He was like a general.
But he was nothing without a soldier.
N pointed towards Panpour and Zero sprinted at her opponent, which also made the Water Gun even more likely to hit. But Zero trusted N. If this was his plan, he wouldn't knowingly put her in danger for a simple attack.
"Detect."
Zero's iris's glowed blue while she ducked her head and crouched, sliding underneath the Water Gun attack. As she looked up, she saw that she was right in front of Panpour. If Panpour looked down, it would only see the stream of water firing from it's mouth. To the water monkey, Zorua's dodge looked like she was engulfed in the Water Gun. "Pursuit!"
Zero would then charge upwards to slam her head into Panpour's stomach, which would knock Panpour up into the air if it struck. N also considered the probability that Panpour's blindspot was directly downwards during the attack would provide a high percent chance of cover for the move.
At least, that's what he hoped.

"Grab it!" Cress called.
Pokemon who couldn't see their opponents had to rely on orders like this. Where was the opponent? If the order was to grab them then obviously they must be close. The blow caught him right in the gut and he was pushed upward into the air. Both hands grabbed out to grab Zero and force her to follow him into the air.
"Rock Smash!" came Cress' next orders. When it came to this gym the goal, the very point, was to overcome an enemy that had type advantage. It was how it was set up and if the trainer has a neutral starter the Pokemon would have to rely on TMs and HMs and other various moves.
In this case, Panpour was to rely on Rock Smash. So, one hand gripping Zero, the other descending, Panpour aimed straight for the top of the head.

As Kijin makes his way into town he makes his way towards the Pokemon Center but before he enters he stops and looks up to see his pokemon still in the air. He rubs his head a little and whistles signaling Tropious to come down from the sky as she lands a few feet from him,"Ok thats enough for now time to get inside for the day." He says with a soft grin pulling the pokeball out and recalls Tropious into its ball, then he turns around and heads into the Pokemon Center. Once inside he would head to the counter and look at the Nurse Joy of this pokemon center,"Hey there Nurse Joy would you mind telling me where the Gym is at in this town?"
Nurse Joy would give a soft smile and nods a little,"Yes the gym next door to use on the right you can't miss it." She says in a tone that seemed like she has told many people this same statement.
"Oh ok thanks also is there any other interesting places here?" He asks seeming to make notes on his map a little so to let him have some reminders for later.
She would tap her chin as she gives a thinking posture as she recalls anything of interest that she would tell him,"Hmm well there is the pokemon school down the road on the left then if you go past the pokemon center there is the old Dream yard there have been some sighting of pokemon there so if you want thats also a place you can go if you want." She says still in her thinking posture but it seems like she was already finished.
"Ok thanks nurse Joy." He says with a nod and then leaves the pokemon center then takes a right and heads towards the gym.

What time was it? Henrietta didn't have the ability to tell. The position of the sun didn't help her one bit. That is to say that she had no idea that it told anything(because she never thought about it).
Her kendo practice went by smoothly enough and soon her Pokemon returned to her, tired and slightly wounded. Henrietta immediately checked her pack and pulled out two potions.
"H-hum..."
She looked at the three pokemon and then the potions and she knelt down to the trio. "I'm going to have Melty and Darumi train a bit more, okay Socant?" she asked the little Joltik who made a movement of his head that Henrietta couldn't quite make out due to his size.
So, she used the potions on the two and recalled the little bug type.
"Try the training you guys were doing before, h-huuum..." She looked around to make sure no one was nearby before she went on. "I-i'll cheer you on if you want," she said.
Darumi nodded eagerly and Melty looked indifferent.
"A-alright, let's go!" she said, raising her voice just a tiny bit.
And Darumi let loose the Incinerate, holding it as he breathed upward and Melty let loose a different attack. The fire spun around it, coming from the flame on his head. A new move, Fire Spin, not that Henrietta knew the name. She only knew that it was a new attack.
Feeling excited at the growth of her Pokemon, Henrietta put her shinai away and preceded to cheer her Pokemon onward with their training, albeit quiet enough that passerby wouldn't hear and think she was a freak.
Hopefully.

{I meant to ask something, when it comes down catching and running into Pokemon do we get to pick which we run into in the area? As well what do we do to catch them? Is it a dice roll?]

((You should try to keep the pokémon you run into native to the area. Otherwise you can freely choose what type of pokémon you find (i.e. even if there's only 1% chance it shows up, you can still have it appear as long as it does actually appear in that area) Serebii has Pokéarth if you want a reference to what appears where. You don't have to do any rolls to say whether you capture something or not, it's up to you. If it's a challenge to catch then it's an opportunity for characterisation. If you just want the pokémon then you can catch it right away. Your call. Though wild pokémon should still be battled and weakened. If you want to get a pokémon that's not native to an area (or even native to Unova) then you should PM Troperopius or myself about it before doing anything. While it'd be nice to showcase some of the new pokémon in the RP, people do have their preferences. As long as it's not a Dragonite or something then you should be okay. If it's a pokémon from another region, then it should be obtained via a trade or a special event. Don't forget to ask permission.))

Caught it Panpour’s grip while in midair, Zero had only a few options. As Panpour released one of his hands, Zero struggled out and broke free of the grip. Still, the attack was descending quickly. She rose up her foreleg to block the Rock Smash, but she was still slammed by the Rock Smash into the ground.
N winced as his pokemon was damaged, but luckily the attack wasn’t a more powerful Fighting type technique. “Zero!”
The fox slowly got up to her feet, wobbly at first and then getting steady again. Zero grit her teeth. [N, I’m fine,] she reassured him in a pained voice. [We have to win this battle, so we cannot give up now.]
The trainer clenched his fists at his side, looking down in uncertainty. He knew this would only lead to Zero getting hurt. Zero shouldn’t have been fighting his battles for him. But without her help I can’t save the world.
Zero stomped her foot. [N!!]
N snapped to life, whipping his head back up. He had to do this, and so did Zero. The green haired trainer pointed at the other side of the arena, sweeping his hand across what he could see.
“Dark Pulse!”
Zero opened her mouth and fired another stream of dark energy circles at Panpour. This time, she continued to train her eyes on the monkey. If Panpour would move, then she would move her head to follow the monkey’s most probable trajectories, whipping the Dark Pulse into the Panpour so it could chase her prey down.
