Origin of Attack
After having gathered the information on which way the attack came from and heading in that direction, some clues can be seen with a sharp eye. While heading in the direction of the White Forest, there are a set of tracks that originate from a tall building and head towards said forest. The start of the tracks seem deeper, suggesting that the person had jumped down from the top of the tower.
After continuing to head towards the forest, where the tracks are going, they lead to the edge of the forest. There it joins another set of tracks, obviously belonging to the one person who fired the Katon attack, and then the other who fired off the arrows. From there, the signs such as foot prints, snapped twigs and the like, show them heading through the forest and out towards the snow country.
From there though, the tracks have been covered up and there is no sign of which direction they possibly could have gone in. The trail has gone cold...

Tochiga, Hanzoll Gennin // Main Class: Bukijutsu // Subclass: Bloodline // AC: 950 // Ryo: 208 // CP: 190/270 ll] Two fingers pressed over his temples as the day was waning to night. Already he was having difficulty adjusting to the low lighting. He sighed, feeling hopeless with his eyes closed to simply avoid the strain of pointless effort. But these were a deadman's words. He was a shinobi, a man. He had no use for broken spirit. Calmly, he assessed the falling of the sky and rose his hand out. In his mind he counted time intervals between each width of his fingers. So far, he pretty much had less than fifteen minutes; an inaccurate factor that could be overlooked. I could be walking towards death, troublesome for me, but..I owe it to Lord Keiji.
After feeling more disciplined, Hanzo used the tip of his bow to help him get some feelers out as he walked further in. The snow helped him out alongside the moon's lighting and it wasn't long until he noticed a pair of very bold impressions. As his eyes would follow the footprints, he noticed it getting somewhat fainter with each step. He cocked his head to leer back above and noted that the perpetrator would have had to jump from a reasonably high angle to make it so. A pair of analytic and unwavering eyes presented new intelligence glinting off their amber whorls. Of course! Recalling back to the assassination attempt, it made perfect sense for the attackers to have done what they did from the highest building in the streets. Anyway with that in mind he continued his pace until the end of his bow tapped abrasively against something loose. He bent down and felt the broken twig that was kept only by a small strand of wood.
In that particular sect of direction he found there were other tracks. Further snowprints, intertwining with another track that he noted to be the partner of the assassin. Despite being practically blind, he swallowed the dry lump strangling his throat and continued. An occasional rustle would elevate his bow back to an offensive position. Realizing that this forest may be getting the best of him, he lowered his weapon and continued to feel his way on. Eventually he was lead to the outer edges of the forest that suggested an intimate path to the snow country. He took the time to think on this. Should he return and report what little information he had so far of these tracks, or should he continue since he was already here past his hard efforts? Much to his chagrin, he willed himself to make it out of the forest and into the bordering lands.

"Weaver of the Night Sky" ☽ Izaya ☾ ☽ Toryo ☾
§[Chuunin]♥[Yukigakure]♥[Sakkakugan ~Inactive~]§
❝Eyes finding it increasingly difficult to adjust to the near zero visibility that crept along the forest, Izaya went along slowly, making as little noise as possible. It tested his skills as a ninja, as pieces of broken tree branches and the crunching snow made silence impossible. The white haired boy kept going having lost Hanzo somewhere along the way and was now searching for him, though not without searching for the clues that he may find that could lead him to the ones who issued the attack. He treaded lightly, keeping his eyes peeled for signs of anything out of the ordinary. Out of the ordinary came a few seconds later in the form of faded tracks along the path. Some of them were fresh, which meant they must have belonged to Hanzo, but the rest were unfamiliar to him, and they were already being covered by the light snowfall. The first pair of tracks however seemed much deeper than the rest, and it stood out perfectly. Izaya looked up slowly, piecing what he had found together. The person, or person's that were involved were apparently at the top of the tower, and had jumped down at this very spot and made a run for it.
Izaya kept that conjecture within memory and moved on, getting closer to the edge of the forest. He noticed that the first set of tracks were intercepted by another set, which either meant that the attackers had found trouble along the way, which was quite unlikely. Or they had met up with their cohorts. The latter proved to be true, as both sets of tracks continued on in a single direction. He noticed small twigs along the ground that were snapped in places, bramble that had been crushed, and the tracks which were already there. If he didn't believe that he was going in the right direction, he believed so now. Finally reaching the edge of the forest, Izaya stopped and frowned. the only way to really get to the bottom of what had happened would be to leave the village and follow them all the way to the Snow Country. He contemplated just turning back now to report what he had found so far, but curiosity grasped his senses and led his feet forward despite better judgement. There was no turning back until he found out who and why, and where they had gone. ❞

Looking around, he noticed a few different sets of footprints in the snow. Making his way over to them, he looked around. Now are these from the attackers, Hanzo, or both? He thought to himself as he stood there. Looking around, he released a few scout insects. "Go ahead. If you find anything let me know." With that, they flew off. They could travel a little faster them him. Plus he wanted to look around some more. Making his way slowly along the tracks, he saw a few broken twigs here and there. It seemed like someone or something at least moved through this area. Ready to move on, he picked up a little bit of speed. While they weren't to engage, that didn't mean a fight couldn't break out. He wanted to catch up to Hanzo just incase anything did happen. [exit to snow country]
