Leila smiled. "No, I'm sorry," she said. "I didn't mean to snap. It was cute." She reached out and ruffled Nicholas's hair. "It's just that I was surprised is all."

Nicholas smiled, always enjoying when she ruffled his hair. "Oh... Ok!" He exclaimed, like he was sad at all. He took one more sip of his coco and put it on the tray with Leila's. He then moved to a different position and laid his head on Leila's lap.

"Oh!" Leila was surprised, but she didn't move away. She chuckled and laid her tail across Nicholas's shoulders.

Nicholas saw felt her tail across his shoulder and smiled. He was comfortable and her tail was soft and warm. "I love you Leila." He said with to her, looking up at her with a smile.

Leila still felt a bit awkward whenever Nicholas said that, but it was true for her as well. She loved him. But instead of saying it aloud, she just leaned down and gave him a small kiss on his forehead.

Nicholas blushed when she kissed his forehead. He knew it would still be awkward for them if he kissed her, so he just smiled and wrapped his arms around her waist.

Leila put a hand on Nicholas's shoulder when he hugged her waist. "You're such a kid sometimes, Nicholas," she smiled softly. "I mean, you're still a kid by legal standards, but you act a lot younger sometimes."

"Is that a bad thing though? I am smarter then most kids my age. I like being a kid though too." He said to her with a kiddish smile. He knew how to be mature yes, but he loved being kiddish. He looked pretty young anyway because of his eyes.

Leila shook her head. "No, it's not a bad thing." She looked up at the fireplace and leaned over to put another log on and arrange it so the fire would keep burning. "It just makes it hard for me to take you seriously at those times."

Nicholas narrowed his eyes, making him look a bit older. After she put another log on the fire, he sort of pinned her down, getting on top of her as he straightened his arms our against her so he would be completely on top of her. "So when do you want me to be serious?" He asked her, his tone sounding seductive and also a tad darker to make him sound mature.

From her position on the floor, Leila looked up at Nicholas, eyes wide in surprise, making her look younger. Her ears and tail flicked with her surprise. "What?Nicholas, what're you--?""

Nicholas saw the look in her eyes as well as the flick of her tail and ears. He looked at her with his narrowed eyes for only a bit longer before going back to his usual, wide eyed look. He was a little teary too, feeling ashamed for what he was doing. "I don't know what I'm doing! I'm sorry!" He cried, just hugging her again. He didn't mean to scare her or anything, he just thought that doing that would make him seem more mature. It didn't though. It just made him look scary. "I don't know how to look and act mature! I'm sorry!" He said, wanting to take back what he did.

Leila let out a little "whoof" of air when Nicholas dropped to hug her. Slowly, she brought her arms up and around his shoulders, one stroking his hair. "It's okay, Nicholas," she cooed. "You did look mature. That's what surprised me. It's all right. There's no need to apologize." Her tail flicked again, wrapping around the two of them again.

"R-really? You really think I looked mature?" He asked her, surprised she thought that. "DId you uh... did you like it when I was mature?" He then asked, mostly to know if it was safe to ever do that again.

Leila chuckled. "Yeah." She hugged him a little tighter. "Yeah, I did."
