Kaori and Hajime entered the arena together, each glaring angrily at the other. They had been unable to see eye to eye in their training sessions and they both suspected the other would betray them at the first opportunity.
They took their place across the arena from their enemy, preparing for what would be a long, grueling battle.

The gigantic Adhuchas-class Menos Grande lumbered around to face his opponents, nearly mindlessly. A low growl emitted from behind his mask, sending vibrations through every metal surface in the arena. The referee managed to choke out a "Fight!" before scrambling to get out of the way of the massive monster he had just unleashed.

Silvesstre opened the ceremonies by unleashing a powerful Cero, tinged with a forest green hue. The air went electric as the blast ripped through the air, and spectators could smell lightning.

Kaori jumped to one side, dodging the blast completely. Hajime, however, took it one step further. He rolled toward the blast, barely managing to avoid it as he rolled under it. Once he was clear, he leaped to his feet and charged his enemy, throwing a knife at his chest.
"Snap to it, Hayate!" Kaori screamed, snapping her bladed whip at the enemy's exposed body. Hajime leaped onto the creatures back, yelling wildly as he stabbed toward the back of its neck.

Silvesstre grunted as the knife dug in. A needle to one of his size. Both of his enemies' followup attacks failed to do any real damage. With a shrug the massive Hollow shook off the Togabito, and launched another Cero at point-blank range, engulfing and carrying away both the Shinigami and her temporary ally.

Kaori and Hajime slid to a stop just before tumbling over the edge of the arena. They pushed themselves up quickly and approached their enemy once more. Hajime charged his knife with energy and charged, slicing at the massive creatures legs and he ran between them.
Kaori swung her whip in a circle and then slammed it down on the back of the creature.

Hajime's attacks were far too wild to hit their mark, and the giant Hollow stepped around them easily. He raised one massive fish, and caught Kaori's zanpakuto. He reared back, and made a mad swipe with his arm.

Silvesstre caught both of them with his huge hand and threw them both across the arena. "Bankai!" Kaori yelled as she struggled to her feet. This time she attacked with all five of her whips. Attacking from all sides. Hajime threw several energy charged knives at unbelievable speeds.

This gigantic Hollow's developing Hierro was great enough to nullify the damage from both attacks. Sillvesstre forced both arms into the earth, breaking through the stone of the arena and reaching the soil and rock below. Great columns of the elements themselves rose up at the feet of Kaori and Watoire, threatening to engulf them both.

Kaori and Hajime disappeared in the earth around them. It was several minutes before they reemerged. Both Kaori and Hajime were bleeding freely in several places and covered in dirt and pebbles. With a howl of rage, Kaori charged her enemy, swinging her whip viciously. Hajime followed, but did nothing, but slash weakly at the creature.

The Adhuchas slapped the zanpakuto aside easily, and stopped the Togabito's advance with his fist. He gave another savage roar, and started a rolling tackle, intending to crush both his enemies.

Kaori disappeared beneath the large creature; Hajime, however, barely escaped. He leaped once again onto the creatures back, stabbing down into the "flesh" of the creature, looking for a weak spot. Kaori's bladed whips burst from under the creature's body and arched over, stabbing down toward the creatures head.

The giant creature roared with pain as both attacks hit their mark. There was little he could do in so short an interval but try to physically shake his attackers off.

Hajime clung to the creatures back, successfully keeping himself from being thrown off, while Kaori wiggled out from under the creatures body.
Kaori attacked once more with her whips, while Hajime climbed on the creature's head and attempted to slam his knife into its eye.

Again the massive Hollow managed to shrug off both attacks, and retaliate with another Cero.
