Heegh regarded Daphne's question for a moment, ignoring Black's comment.

Heegh: "We'll see what can be done. Be concerned for only your immediate friends at the moment."

Once they were on the move, everything was silent until Black asked her question. For what seem the longest time, he didn't respond.

Heegh: "It was my form before I lost my original physical body, long, long ago... Your thanks isn't necessary, I'm only doing what's needed. We should be silent now, we're almost there."

After a time, Heegh stopped the group amongst a thick section of trees, up on a hill. Some ways below it, was the grave yard. Heegh carefully examined the situation.

Heegh: "Alright, you will wait here with about a third of my demons. I'll head down with the rest, trapping them in a circle. Once you hear the battle, hurry to your friends, and be quick with your actions. Do not hesitate."

With that said, Heegh and his demons spread out, and positioned themselves.

Heegh and his demons poured into the graveyard like a tidal wave after that clumsy one fell, roaring and causing a great ruckus. Heegh lost his angellic human form and was once again in that vicious looking hell body of his, tearing through a group of black hunters that had gotten in his way.

The mages were quick to react, immediately casting their dark magics and summoning demons from Hell under their control. Heegh was none too pleased at this open display of theft, and dove at the demonic Bane, tackling him to the ground as they traded blows.

Upon seeing Daphne, Cian, and Black trying to rescue others, the people trapped began to beg and plead for their salvation, hoping to be saved. The worst of all were the mothers and little children crying out for help.

Black was almost half-way through Rosemary's binds when something knocked her away. A pair of black hunters loomed over her, threatening to pounce and tear her apart. One had just lept in mid-air before something burst through his chest, and hurled him in the other direction. The other demon turned, and found it's head swiped cleaned by Heegh's dagger. Behind the satan, Bane was struggling with an army of skeletons covering his form, digging into his body with swords and axes. Torment was trying to summon more demons, while avoiding some of the golem-like rock demons.

Heegh: "Be quick about your tasks! This is not a safe place!"

Heegh then tore Rosemary from her bonds, and laid her near Black, before rushing into battle with Bane and Torment again, all three casting powerful magic, and fighting with deadly demons.

Daphne was in mid stride when she heard the pleas. She halted, her eyes wide and concerned, glossy and frightened. She wanted to help these people...but... She looked toward where black started untying Rosemary. Maybe if they had time....

"I'll be back." She whispered to the humans, hurrying toward Veni, Heegh's dagger in her hands. As she hacked at the binds around Veni, she heard movement and her head whipped around in time to see the hunters' heads roll. She shut her eyes for a brief moment to try to delete that image from her mind. When she opened them the carnage around her made it impossible for her to forget. "Keep working at the binds, Daphne." Daph heard Cian say. She nodded blankly and resumed sawing at the binds. Finally she got them. Veni came tumbling down. Daphne dragged his body near Rosemary's and started to work on healing the damages that the vampire couple faced.

Meanwhile...

Cian ran to Sephiroth. "Hello." He said, awkward, as he began to cut at the binds. It would be less awkward if Sephiroth were unconscious like the others, but in the long run it was probably better that he was alert.

The earth quaked, and large spikes made of bone and steel broke through the ground, shooting themselves at various monstrosities and the mages. Heegh's aura of evil and rage seemed to be growing, as if he didn't want to hold back much longer. The mages in turn blasted at him with powerful magic, and managed to tear one of his large wings.

Demon: "We better hurry. Lord Heegh will not able to protect us if we continue to linger."

Galantros seemed to grunt quietly as Black freed and lifted him. As the group began to run, a blast of unholy fire seperated Sephiroth from the others. The abyss demon from earlier swooped down and landed, growling. One of the giant spikes from earlier jutted out of it's shoulder, dripping black blood on the ground. It roared, and rushed forward at Sephiroth, bringing it's fire-engulfed claws down towards his head.

Cian picked up Veni while Daph held Rosemary. Daphne ran unsteadily as Heegh's quake left an aftershock.


Cian paused as he faintly heard what the demon said...Protecting? He shook his head then ran, catching up with Daphne and the other's.

Cian's face looked troubled, Daph noticed. "You--" But she was interrupted by the spikes shooting into the air. Cian put a hand on her shoulder as she screamed "Sephiroth!!!!!!!"

((mind freeze))

The demon stumbled back, the energy burning at him. Growling, it attempted to gain back its senses before Sephiroth was upon him. He only just made it as the sword started to cut into his side, his claws barely grasping the blade and shoving it away with the force of a fire blast.

Demon: You should be afraid, mortal...

With the sword immediately out of his way, the abyss backhanded Sephiroth, his unholy fires sapping strength from the man. He then rushed up and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, slamming him into the ground. With his claw raised, he began to bring it down towards Sephiroth's face.

Snarling, the demon fell back into one of the soul draining flesh towers, shoving several of it's victims out of the way as he slammed up against it. Out of instinct perhaps, Sephiroth thought of binding the demon, and suddenly tendrils wrapped the creature up. Roaring, the abyss struggled to free himself, but found he was growing weak... and all the while, Sephiroth felt a sudden surge of energy.

Abyss: "How!? How is this possible!?"

As much as the demon tried to free itself, it found it was growing weaker and weaker... it was suddenly at Sephiroth's mercy.
