XXXXX XXXXX Yuna gasped, feeling the sudden presence of someone behind her. She fell forward opening the door fully in the process as she landed face first into the office floor. "Ow...", came from her like a whisper as Yuna sat up on her knees and rubbed her forehead, that headband would have come in handy if she had one.
Ayame looked up from petting Daichi at the knock on her door. As she was about to say hello the new genin fell into her office and Sonyo stood behind her. Ayame gave a small chuckle as Daichi rounded the desk moving to help the smaller girl up. Hello Yuna and welcome back Sonyo. She said taking a headband out of the drawer for Yuna. She threw it to Yuna, Yuna the academy is clear if you would like to go train. Sonyo here is a higher ranking shinobi if you would like her to teach you. Or I will be along shortly and I could help as well. She paused for a moment then looked at Sonyo, I know Nari will be happy to see you so I won't keep you long. I would like to know how everything went while you were away.

XXXXX XXXXX Yuna caught the headband as Daichi helped her up, she affixed it to her forehead right away to avoid any further injury. She was still knelt as she turned her attention to the large grey wolf. "Puppy..." she said low with excitement as she began to rub his head and ears. A smile went from ear to ear as she ran her hands through his fur and rubbed him. Yuna was waiting on someone so she was going to stick around for a bit to see if he showed up.
Sonyo chuckled as the gennin fell over on to her face, she seemed so young. The young woman groaned softly, suddenly realizing how old she felt. Upon being greeted by Ayame, Sonyo made her way to one of the chairs in the room-- petting Daichi as she passed him, as ignoring the large wolf would be practically an insult --and flopped backwards in to it, sighing softly. "I found my parents, but not in the way I wanted. I was assured that they went peacefully, they had a quick death by the hands of the UHV." Her facial expression became pained and Sonyo clasped her hands together before pressing her forehead against them, closing her eyes and rubbing her forehead with her thumbs. "I wanted so badly to do something so stupid, but I didn't-- I came home instead." Sonyo straightened up, giving Ayame a slight smile. "How have things been here? What's new? I know I've only been gone a week, but I know this village. It changes faster than the desert landscape."

Ayame sighed, I am sorry Sonyo. If you would like you can make a place for them in the ash field. That way you have somewhere to go when you wish to speak with them. She said as she moved her tea cup from the side of the desk, out of the way of Daichi's tail as he wagged it happily. Ayame chuckled, Daichi acts like a puppy when you love on him. So you've made a new friend Yuna, and Sonyo things have definitely changed. She paused for a moment taking Yuna's file from her desk and stashing it with the rest. There were so few of them now. She ran her hands through her now short hair and winced remembering someone else's hands. There are only a few shinobi left, James and even Theodin have disappeared and a few others. Of course Nari is still around last I saw them they were in the academy. She masked the pain in her voice as she spoke of her mate and son. She felt as if she was doomed to live with no one but Daichi forever by her side. So many Suna shinobi came and went. She never thought her family would have been one of them.

Tatsuya; Chakra: 450/450 Stamina: 50/50
Tatsuya's single golden eye stared back at him from his reflection in the window. "You have got to be freaking kidding me," he grounded out through grit teeth, opening his other eye to reveal the green one. Why was Tatsuya so upset? Well, that gold eye of his was actually his natural eye, his doujutsu. It was a powerful eye that gave the man many powerful abilities. Abilities that were especially useful for a puppeteer such as himself... and he hated it. He absolutely loathed his eyes for being the reminders of his father that they were, so for that very reason he wore green contacts to hide them from view. However, it appeared in his rush to catch up with his dear sister he'd regrettably forgotten to put one in.
Tatsuya huffed an annoyed sigh and was about to turn away from the window he'd stopped by to inspect his face... when another familiar face appeared in the reflection. The man wore a hard expression, and had gold eyes very similar to Tatsuya's. He was dressed in the shinobi attire of a Genin, so lacked a flak jacket, and over that attire he wore a sandy-colored cloak very similar to his own. The man's hard expression twisted into an evil smile when he appeared to notice Tatsuya looking back at him. "You always were such a coward, boy. Afraid to face what you are," he laughed darkly, ignoring Tatsuya's harsh glare that may have been able to kill the man twice-over if looks could kill. "What's the matter brat? Scared you'll become just like me if you use that doujutsu of ours? Scared you'll become just like your horrible like your father if you dare to use that thing? Please. You're just like me, and you'll see that's true when you hurt that annoying little sister of yours." The man's laughter ringed annoyingly in Tatsuya's ears, even though he knew it was just an illusion. And as the man kept talking, his glare became harsher and harsher, shoulders shaking at the rage that continued to build up inside him. Why?! He'd killed this man once already... so why wouldn't his ghost just "LEAVE ME ALONE!"
Tatsuya roared his rage swung his arm around to slam the back of his fist against the man's face behind him, but of course when he turned the man was nowhere to be found. He was only a figment of his imagination after all. The young genin sighed, rubbing his tired eyes with his fingers. This was starting to get worse and worse. At first it had just been the man's voice but then Tatsuya started seeing his face. Then the man's body started appearing... and even later after that there were times where Tatsuya could almost physically interact with him! "Hahaha... I really am all kinds of messed up aren't?" He laughed humorlessly and hand over his gold eye, began walking again towards the Kazekage's tower. He'd kept Yuna waiting long enough.
Tatsuya made his way through the building and was nearing the office when he heard voices drifting down the hall. Still shaken by his latest confrontation with his dad, he still couldn't help the small smile that slipped on his face when he recognized the voice of his sister. 'Sounds like she's already making friends... I'm, not sure how to feel about that honestly.' The smile melted off of his face, turning into a confused frown. He didn't allow himself to dwell too much on it though, so did his best to get the frown off of his face before sticking his head through the door. "Tatsuya Mugen here to get my headband Kazekage-sama," he clipped, eager to get out of here and back to... whatever. He nodded a greeting at Yuna, completely ignoring the other girl in the room. His golden eye was kept closed, revealing only the one that was green due to his colored contacts.
"Thank you, Lady Kazekage... I would really appreciate that." Sonyo gave the woman a soft smile, which quickly disappeared when she said that both James and Theo were gone. She remembered the last time they had talked, she had wanted to talk to him later about creating a shop together-- A thing she would never be able to do now. And James, she barely even got to know the man; he was only her sensei for such a short amount of time; and now she would never get to know him. She fought back the tears that welled in her eyes, the lump that rose in her throat. She felt a pain deep inside her, not just for her but for Ayame as well; such a wonderful and kind woman should never have to lose this much. "I can't believe they're gone..."
Sonyo took a deep and shuttering breath as someone new came in to the office, forcing the tears away, putting on the blank mask of no emotion she had gotten so good at putting on the past few days. The only thing that shone through was a sad understanding and the sympathy in her eyes, Ayame's losses were her losses as well-- the whole village's losses. "It seems you have many gennin showing up, I won't stay for much longer. Is there anything you need me to do, Lady Kazekage? I have more free time on my hands than I'd like." She desperately needed something to do after seeing Nari, otherwise she would endlessly think of how many of the missing people were her fault, how many she could have saved, how much pain she could have avoided.

XXXXX XXXXX Yuna jumped up as Tatsuya entered the room, petting Daichi goodbye she skipped over too him. "Brother! Look I got my headband first, that makes me your superior. So that will be Yuna-sama from now on little boy." She said patting the head of her much older brother and jumping back slightly as his eyes started to narrow from the teasing. She giggled as she stood by his side waiting on him to receive hid headband. Yuna had always wanted to be a ninja, and she was glad her brother decided to join her.
(Ooc: posting from phone so sorry it won't be pretty) Ayame and Daichi didn't let on that they had heard the young man's outburst. Maybe when he's been here longer they could ask, but Ayame wouldn't pry. She grabbed another headband and threw it to Tatsuya. "Welcome to Suna. I look forward to seeing what you guys do. Sonyo I currently have nothing but let me look in my reports and see if I can come up with a mission foryou."

"Meh you're a thousand years too early to me challenging me Imouto," Tatsuya said in response to his teasing sister, waving her arm away with his own. He was only teasing her back of course but, truth be told, her potential was much higher than his own. Her access to three different, incredibly powerful bloodlines gave her the upper hand against pretty much anyone. The only reason why he'd caved and let her become a ninja in the first place was because of that. Well, the other reason was because of his love for his sister, but she didn't quite need to know that.
Catching the headband the Kazekage had tossed towards him, Tatsuya turned his attention to the other girl in the room. Well, girl was probably the incorrect word to use though. She was good at hiding her emotions to be sure but the sadness in her eyes was unmistakable. No, she wasn't a girl. She was a woman who may have been through a lot. More importantly: that meant she was most likely experienced. More experienced than either he or Yuna. That meant she could potentially prove useful. "Well... if she needs something to do maybe Sonyo-san could train us?" He kept his voice measured, not wanting to come across as too pushy. He didn't know this woman well, so getting excited wouldn't really help any. Tatsuya certainly did want the woman to train them though, his sister specifically. Being a puppeteer, there wasn't much that others could offer him when it came to training. Sonyo may be able to teach Yuna something though, and if they hit it off then that would be someone else who could help him protect her. Someone stronger than himself.
INDENT► The recent graduate of the academy entered the building the Kazekage's office was in. Kano Yamakawa approached the secretary in order to acquire his headband. Graduated. Need to get headband. Some think the young man is stupid due to his simple sentences. He just cuts the fat out of most interactions. There is only work and survival. The second is moderately pointless, but no point in suicide of the world will kill him eventually anyway. The secretary looked at Kano questioningly, so he was forced to expand his request. "I need to meet Kazekage. I need my headband. I want to go on missions." It seems it finally clicked for her, and she directed him towards a fairly loud office. Kano opened the door and moved into the office.
INDENT► Two of the people here bore similar physical features. Siblings. Another seemed to be a tad bit morose in the way she was standing. Something bad happened to her. Then the Kazekage and her wolf companion were also present. Normally, respect would dictate he wait to be addressed, but it seemed that the Kazekage wasn't actually engaged in business. He approached, and kneeled, as decorum demanded. "Lady Kazekage. I graduated recently. My name is Kano Yamakawa. I would like a headband." He Kano remained in his kneeling position, and would wait for a response. His face was vacant of emotion. There was no point in pinning hopes on whether or not he would actually get it. Sunagakure needed soldiers, and this was why he went into the academy, much like his...sister.
INDENT► Thinking of his sister, he reinforced one of his goals. He wanted to find her. That might give him closure, and was the reason he hadn't given in to his cynicism and nihilism. There was a purpose beyond death he had to fulfill. He needed to know why she vanished, and give her the gift he had prepared for her all those years ago. His face wouldn't show his emotions, and his eyes were down turned due to his kneeling position, but there was a fire, a spark, of determination that would tell anyone despite his blank face. Kano was going to accomplish this mission.

XXXXX XXXXX Yuna's eyes lit up at Tatsuya's idea. "Oh my god, Sonyo-sensei has the perfect ring to it." She said, Yuna had romanticized the idea of being a ninja, the jutsu, the teachers, the missions, it was all like living out a dream. A new ninja had entered addressing the Kazekage and asking for a headband too. Yuna gasps as she held back her excitement, "Oh my god, a new genin, he can join us too, that would be a squad of three, you need three that's the rule." Yuna rambled on getting way ahead of herself before even hearing anyones answer she was already thinking about her new squad with Sonyo-Sensei as her mind wandered thinking up all the adventures of this new squad.
Before she knew it, the gennin had ganged up on her. Having heard she had nothing better to do, they had taken the chance to give her something to do. Sonyo felt a bit of panic rise in her, but all that was shown on her outwards appearance was just a look of pure dumbfounded-ness; as old as she felt, she knew she too was barely out of the academy herself, or at least that's what it felt like. Sonyo opened her mouth to say something, but the young girl from before, the one she had scared earlier, was already glimmering with hope and ideas. What kind of person would she be to crush those hopes, to let this kid down. "Uhhh...." Sonyo glanced back at Ayame for a moment, a look that screamed for help. She wanted to help these kids, she did, but she felt as if she didn't know enough to teach them herself. After all, only a week ago she was being taught by theo how to use Suiton jutsu.
The chuunin looked back at the kids, stuttering a few times before manging to get actual words out. "Well I mean... I-I guess I could? We don't have many high ranking shinobi left... someone's gotta teach you. I don't know how much you'll actually learn from me.... but I guess something's better than nothing?" Sonyo's brain was scrambled, she had never lead anything before. What if she failed these kids? What if she taught them incorrectly and her mistakes got them killed in the field? What if what if what if... If only Nari was here, to reassure her, to guide her like he always did, to tell her she'd do fine. The young woman stood up, clearing her throat and smoothing out her clothes, trying to regain her composure. She told herself she had to be strong, that there would have been a time where she'd have to do this anyways so she minds as get started now. "What are you guys looking to learn? I've focused up in till now on my bloodline and Eiseijutsu, but I know bits of other jutsu; Ninjutsu, taijutsu, bukijutsu, kaifu. I've dabbled in a lot."
Sonyo couldn't help but recite a small saying in her head; jack of all trades, master of none. She really hoped she wouldn't mess up these kids.
