'A cramped office meant things were going to take a little while.' It seemed the kazekage's office was busy today as the genin rolled through from graduation. Kenji was supposed to have come up earlier to get reinstated for his position, though why did he pick today of all days to visit? Never the less he was here and it was better to get things rolling. Since he was there, it was best to get it all done and over with and the front desk even warned him that things were busy before he went up.
They were right.
So here he was, idling in the back of the office near the door with arms crossed and looked on to who was actually present. Kenji was of average height with a lean body yet built with muscle as he carried a large two-handed blade slung across his back. He had fair skin and ash blonde hair and wore a mixture of reds as the entirety of his outfit with metal arm bracers and chest piece covering his torso.
Kenji didn't say much of a word as he merely observed the room with interest and kept arms crossed as he leaned against the door frame. Formality wasn't his thing, but neither was he in a hurry to get things done so the next best thing was to wait as he observed some of who he assumed were new genin refer to another woman as Sonyo, a teacher? Or a shinobi of a higher rank? He didn't question it verbally, preferring to keep to himself for the time being.

This place is really starting to get crowded. Tatsuya normally didn't like being around people that much. The only person whose presence he could really stand was his sister's. So when one of his classmates from the academy Kano Yamakawa entered the room he... wasn't exactly pleased. The man sighed as he bent his head down so he was facing the floor. He didn't want anyone to see his face as he tied his new headband on his head. Otherwise they'd see his golden eye, and that was something he wanted to keep secret for as long as possible. He tied the headband securely around his forehead and the, figuring it would be better than covering his eye with his hand all day, pulled the right side of it down so he was covering his right eye. When he lifted his head to look back at Sonyo she and everyone else would see that his eye was purposefully covered, hiding his golden eye behind it and leaving only the left green one revealed.
When Tatsuya lifted his head his sister was in the middle of gushing about Sonyo-sensei and... oh brother. This wasn't what he'd intended. He would have been happier had Sonyo trained just him and his sister, but including Kano too? He was a quiet boy, so he didn't know anything about him. And because he didn't know anything about him, Tatsuya didn't want the stranger anywhere near his sister. Still though, his sister appeared to be doing a decent job of getting Sonyo to consider his suggestion. He was always so grateful his still gave off the 'cute kid' vibe. It made getting the things they wanted so much easier, especially when she didn't even seem to be aware that she was doing it most times.
Tatsuya got a bit worried though when Sonyo hesitated, stuttering through her explanation of what exactly she could do. She was fairly good at schooling her facial features, but her emotions showed through clearly in her voice. She was nervous. Either nervous or unsure. Was it possible he could have been wrong about her? No, he didn't think he was. Perhaps she had never taken on students before? He supposed it was possible. There was a first for everything, just like his first kill had been his father. Tatsuya suddenly barked out a dark, unamused laugh at the thought of comparing his first time killing another person to this woman's first time teaching a couple genin. His next words didn't match the tone of the laugh though, instead coming out warm and gentle. Something he most certainly wasn't feeling but had grown quite adept at falsifying. "I'm a puppeteer, so there's very little anyone aside from a fellow puppeteer can teach me Sonyo-san. To be honest, I only asked your help for my sister's sake. She has great potential but she's also naive and irresponsible. Without someone else to look out for her she'd be a bit hopeless. So please teach her anything you can. I'm sure you have something." A false reassuring smile was plastered on his face as he spoke, although the corner of his lip twitched at the effort. Pretending to care about others that weren't him or his sister had always been difficult for him, and right now he was really pushing his limits.

XXXXX XXXXX Yuna's eyes narrowed as her brother took his brute and harsh tone, the sweet sand ninja's demeanor switched to that of her brother's. "I'm not so naive to not understand that their is more to knowledge then jutsu. Anyone with different experiences then you has something to teach, meaning you have something to learn." She walked over staring down her brother, though being much shorter she never backed down when she had to scold her older brother. "Now, like it or not you behave or you're going to make me look bad too." Yuna said firmly but then switched to her sweet smile as her attention turned to Sonyo. "I have so many questions Sonyo-Sensei, I hope you can find time for them." She said, she already knew a bunch to ask her new sensei and hoped to not be a bother.
Ayame raised an eyebrow as two more genin walked into her office. Of course she knew from the files on her desk that they had all been coming, but she honestly hadn't expected them all at once. She inclined her head to Kano then retrieved a headband for him. Welcome Kano, She said before catching Sonyo's look and giving a small smile to the poor girl. As yet another genin walked in Daichi moved behind his tamer dwarfing the 5ft 8 Hatake. He eyed them all as she went to speak, but was stopped when the siblings started to argue. Ayame stood to her full height her blue green eyes flashing bright, There will be none of that in my office.She said in a calm, yet authoritative, voice. Ayame crossed her arms over her chest, You all may be genin, but you are genin of Sunagakure. You will show your fellow shinobi respect whether they be related to you or not. She paused for a moment handing the headband she had in her hand to Kano, then tossed another one to Kenji, Once those headbands are on you belong to my pack, think that's weird, get over it, I'm a wolf tamer. I will split you all between the available higher ranking shinobi. If I have to train you myself I will. I've done it plenty of times. Sonyo go see Nari I know he has missed you. Yuna, Tatsuya, Kano, and Kenji, head to the academy after doing whatever it is you may need to do. Ayame paused again only long enough to take a sheet of paper from one of her golems and sign it. It scurried through the feet of the genin and back to the secretary who whispered a thank you just low enough for only Ayame to hear. She looked back up at the genin, I am here for anyone in this village if they need anything. You need to talk I will listen. You need to fight, I need a work out every now and then too. But let me be clear, nothing in this village comes for free. You have to earn your rank I am not just going to hand it to you. From here on out you are my shinobi, I protect what is mine. Ayame said matter-of-factly. Daichi, of course, picked that moment to sneeze multiple times. As Ayame gave him a look he nosed her, Sorry He said apologetically.

INDENT► Kano accepted the headband, and listened intently to the kage, all while cringing while listening to the childish ninja behind him. They were soldiers, nothing more or less. Instead of talking to them or responding to that girls hopes of a squad, he stood up, and tied it to his belt, before turning and leaving. The only other genin he acknowledged was Kenji, a fellow swordsman of great potential. It wasn't as a friendship thing either, but knowing someone who would work hard instead of treat this like a game. He spoke to the kage before leaving, "Thank you Lady Kage. I will remember." Kano then left the room, heading for the academy, as ordered.

Sonyo found herself falling quiet, taking a good look at the male gennin in front of her; they were siblings then? But she got a feeling from the male, the feeling that she got from UHV in otogakure, and the dark bark of laughter he let off didn't do anything to sooth her nerves. She took a few seconds to take him in, her face portraying a look much like someone studying a chalkboard. Where to go from here, she thought, letting out a soft breath. The chuunin stood a few minutes after Ayame spoke, crossing her arms over her chest; she was serious now. She had two roads in front of her; she could entrust this kid to someone else in the village, or she could do her damn best to do what she could for him. Sonyo closed her eyes, leaning her head to one side, finally making up her mind. "I'll meet you guys in the academy when I can, as you heard from Lady Kazekage, I have something to attend to currently. Something to remember is that you are Suna shinobi now, we are family. Everyone here fights tooth and nail to survive, and there will come a time where you will too." Sonyo bowed slowly, then gave Daichi a pat on his head and a wave to Ayame before leaving to go see Nari.

XXXXX XXXXX Yuna straightened up as she was scolded by the kage, hearing that they needed to clear out she nodded and headed to the academy as she was told. She got caught up in the moment and was a little embarrassed, the scolding reminded her of something unpleasant and she kept quiet as she left to the academy.

Tatsuya only scowled at everyone, his scowl becoming fiercer and fiercer by the second. He was a part of the Kazekage's pack? Sonyo said he and all these Suna shinobi were family? Ridiculous! Tatsuya's only family were Yuna and his mother, and his mother was dead! So that left just his sister. Tatsuya continued to seethe quietly as the room mostly emptied around him, unable to care that he was allowing the Kazekage to see him this way. He spun on his heel and left the room wordlessly. He shoved past the other occupant of the room that had been leaning against the door frame, not bother to offer so much as a word of apology.
The next time he heard his father's voice would be only a few feet down that hall. "Awwwwwwww aren't I your family too son? Don't you care about your father?" Tatsuya's fist lashed out violently at the ghost's face, punching through it and slamming painfully into the wall. s**t. They totally heard that. He pulled his fist away from the wall and inspected the damage. His knuckles were cut and bleeding, but other than that he hadn't done too much damage. Thankfully he hadn't broken anything. He may be weak physically, but he still needed his fingers in working condition to control a puppet properly. He'd stop by home on the way to the academy to patch it up as best he could. He needed to grab his other contact lens and his training puppet anyways. [Exit to Academy]

Kenji was silent for the entire thing as he watched the events in the Kazekage's office, pale eyes observing and taking in just who were going to be doing what. He shifted his stance and heard his name in the middle of the talk that went on with the rest. Had he been looped in with everyone here? Or had it been coincidental given him to be in the back? Report to the academy was the closest to an order if it was anything else and it was something he been meaning to do for a little while now given the week's been slow.
Then his thoughts were interrupted for a moment as one of the Genin who were leaving brushed past him, silent and seemingly preoccupied with something perhaps in his mind. Kenji took a moment to look back at him as the one with the covered eye went down the hallway and clocked it -- perhaps though he did more damage to himself than he did the wall. Staring after him from the corner of his eye, Kenji ignored it for the time being as it didn't bug him in the end either way.
'It seems he's struggling with something, I wonder what' Kenji thought to himself as he considered who else was in the office before they left. The one known as Sonyo had left and seemed to be the designated tutor for everyone else. Kano, a male clad in blue had manners and was equally silent but didn't express much else had also took his leave. The girl who had a bit more energy than a few others in the room but her name eluded him as she left as well.
Finally. Kenji looked back as he eyed the others leaving and he approached the leader of this very village, or in this case the Kazekage. He didn't say a word yet as he crossed his left hand in a fist over his chest before a slight bow. "Madam," he said finally, his voice even as he rose up and lowered his arm then, adjusting the sword on his back. "Just coming by to get things updated, headband and all that." Kenji hooked his thumbs into pockets and shifted his stance, adjusting weight to one foot.
"I suppose I am to leave for the academy as well? If not, perhaps I can work on things on my own for now." He said giving a passive glance at the wolf the kage kept and returned his look to the kage to wait on a reply. He gave a slow breath of a sigh, Kenji was bored.

Today was a glorious day. The sun was high in the sky illuminating the world below as it embraced all with it's warmth. Normally you'd think this was a good thing. The sun brought life, it was a beacon of hope, WRONG! It was nothing more then a device set forth to bring pain and misery upon the form of this pale haired individual. The sun brought warmth and with warmth came heat. Screw the heat! It was enough of a burden to make Hisame wanna lay down and die in a puddle of his own sweat... If only he could sweat. Life was irony and Hisame himself wore that irony like a badge of honor. So hot and hating life Hisame would saunter his way towards the Kazekage's office, his stride resembling the wobbling of an old man ready to fall over and croak. It was a little concerning but any who knew Hisame would know that this was just him over reacting, as he does.
Upon reaching the office Hisame would be greeted with passing faces. Some he could faintly recognize as those he studied with while attending the Academy. Only names were beyond him. He never held much interest in others only ever making note of them as background art. If they didn't live in his inner circle they simply existed out of mind. Once the passing bodies were gone and the path was clear Hisame would sigh. How was it just looking at people would make him even hotter. God he would kill for a popsicle.
Once officially inside the office itself Hisame would peer around with a look of pure disinterest. As far as he could tell the office was fairly empty only a few bodies left occupying it's space. Beyond the Kazekage herself Hisame ignored all others. Seeing as she was conversing Hisame figured he should hang back and wait until he was called upon before interrupting anything important. He was already ready to keel over and die from the word hot alone so he didn't need himself getting into any trouble. Making one last keen observation Hisame would notice the fair sized creature that hid it's form behind the Kazekage. It was a canine and it was covered in fur. The sight of the fur would cause a disgruntled groan to escape from Hisame as the simple appearance of the fur was enough to increase his imaginary temperature to scalding levels. Beneath his breath he'd grunt,"Kill me.."

Ayame watched as the genin left her office and then one more came in. She nodded her head to him then smiled reaching in the drawer once again for a headband. Welcome to the ranks both of you. Kenji you may train or explore the village either is up to you. Hisame please sit before you fall over. She said motioning to a couch that sat not to far from her desk. The boy's face was flushed from heat and Ayame couldn't help but smile inwardly. The poor dear. If I may offer some advice, a headband made of ice might do you some good.

It seemed everything was in order and so the genin Kenji took a small bow, sweeping his arm up again. Turning on his heel he spotted another ninja he recognized but didn't know their name. Quick as he came, the man left with only an acknowledgement of thanks to the kage. Guess it was time to do what he wanted. Exit
๑๑๑๑Hands tucked into his white pants pockets, Hideo's eyes darted around the reception area before falling on a sign indicating where the Kazekage's office was. Although he'd seen her from afar here and there, he'd never had an audience with her until now. He was excited, and pensive about the meeting and how she was like. As he walked up the narrow staircase, he pondered whether or not she would be alright with him hopping into his training over the next couple of days. As much as he wanted to hop into a mission, he was even more so eager to have access to the things he wanted to learn.
Arriving at the door, he knocked twice before pushing his way through the ajar fixture. Walking into the room, he stopped in the middle and bowed sincerely before straightening up and speaking. "Good morning, I...I was sent here to meet you Kazekage." He couldn't help after speaking letting his eyes wander. The first thing of course he noticed was the wolf. It looked battle-worn, in its prime and ultimately intimidating. If it weren't for how calm the woman was about its presence Hideo would have thought twice about staying in that room any longer.
The walls were lined with old tomes and scrolls, accounts of different things both interesting and possibly not so kept there for the Kazekage to view. Overall the office was telling of the nature of the position. It was a large role to fill in a village, yet she seemed well accustomed to it.
Ayame looked up as another genin walked in and bowed. She gave a smile and motioned to Daichi who lay down trying to seem less imposing, which was hard for his size. "Good morning. Nice to see another new face." She said leaning down and grabbing a headband for the new genin. She held it out for him with a nod, "Welcome to the ranks of Suna. You may head to the academy and train, now that you have your headband or you can go to the dojo. If you are in need of anything else please do not hesitate to ask me." She said nodding to the doors, "The doors are always open, but I will say. Nothing is free here. You train, you work hard, and you advance. All I ever want to see is my village prosper and it's people be happy."
I have a certifiably insane amount of training posts pre-written and I'm so excited to be Suna. Is there an event planned any time soon, or am I free to bring some chaos fun to the party?
Kohana knocked before entering, biting on her bottom lip to keep from squealing at how exciting this all was. She'd completed the academy and now she was in the Kazekage's actual office. It was a dream come true. "Lady Kazekage, I was sent in to retrieve my headband. And, if I may, have your permission to go on a few missions?" She shifted her weight from one foot to the other and brought on hand behind her to stroke the yew longbow attached to her back. It was larger than she was, and because of that it had to rest diagonally on her backside. It was more for comfort than for war, since it wasn't appropriate for a ninja of her size and caliber - not yet, anyways. She was planning to grow into it on any account.
