The lady Raikage looked upon Kaileer. Leaning against the desk gently, she looked to her jounin. Mild agreement sent her way, and the two of them were back to business again. He simplified things for her, considering she had yet to read the contents of the report. A quick synopsis, and she was about ready to look Everything that Kaileer mentioned in regards to the happenstances in Kirigakure, it just struck a chord of intrigue more than anything. Kinpaku knew things were possible, but this? It was a sensation that she didn't get to experience first hand.
It helped to solidify her decision.
"That's quite the chain of events," replied Kinpaku, thinking things over, "You say this magma woman was combining shinobi aspects into clones? As if to replace members of the village?" Or were they simply weapons using the deadliest aspects of the mist ninja? The flask itself was half drained, but the lady offered it up to Kaileer, an act that none thus far had managed to experience in her time. Most enraged her to the point that she simply would tip back the whole thing. "There's one thing I'm going to say. In the time that I've been here, there's been much that I've seen you do. You and that giant both." The exposition was to begin. Wheeling around the desk slowly, Kinpaku pulled out a mild mechanism, similar to the radios. "In response to the work and effort put forth by Kaileer Cein'lys and in Wanryoku Korobosu's efforts, advancements are being made. Effective immediately, the Wanryoku, that he's receiving the title of adviser to the raikage." The announcement would ring out through the village, over a PA system. "Effective immediately, Kaileer Cein'lys in his time leading in defense of the village against the UHV, and his diplomatic departure to Kirigakure for a time, is to be named my successor as Raikage." The ringing sound system across the village disabled. Looking up, the lady Raikage smiled. "Congratulations, Lord Raikage."
Damien looked at the small child and knelt down " Hi there. " He smiled and looked at the German Sherpard as well, he knew that he made the child feel uncomfortable; but he was doing his best to shake the cold demeanor that he was used to " I'm not as scary as I look... " He thought so something sarcastic and funny that he could possibly say " Umm... I cut myself shaving. "

-----ι watched Kinpaku passively as she relayed, more or less, what I had said, and shifted my gaze to the flask in her hand when he held it out to me. I wasn't entirely sure what to make of the gesture. It could have been celebratory, pity, or something else. Celebratory for the success in Kirigakure, pity about what happened, or some sort of camaraderie in a half-drunken state that I didn't know existed between us. Of the few interactions we'd had, almost all involved retrieving missions or reporting afterward. I couldn't remember just having a conversation with her. Besides, I still wasn't so sure about the whole alcohol thing. I didn't trust myself enough to drink it. -----It was because of this that I still awkwardly held the flask as the Raikage moved around the desk with a device in hand. She hit a button and spoke into it. I felt heat creep into my face from embarrassment at the announcement of both my efforts and Wan's--where was he anyway?--and something about advancements. To what? I didn't have nearly enough experience to gain another rank. She proceeded to announce that Wan would receive the title of adviser. In the background, through the closed doors, I could faintly hear her words echoing across the tower, and, I assumed, the village. -----Then whatever embarrassment I felt vanished at her following words, and I was pretty sure the color drained from my face instead. I gaped at her even after she finished speaking, until I managed to get my mouth to work again and form words. "C-come again?" Was this a joke? Because it wasn't funny, and I most certainly wasn't laughing. Her smile seemed genuine enough. I stuttered around until I found words again. "I think you've had too much to drink...Are you...serious?"

Upon her time in waiting for Shin to speak through the corner of her eye she saw cloud gave her a nod. She smiled and waved to him before placing her attesion to Suzume. So she had a few stories huh. Yuka would have to listen to them sometime. For now tho as Dai said they had work to do. If we are not too busy, I would love to listen to these tales." She would say lightly laughing before it was it was back to looking at Shin smiling once more. As he spoke the teen simply nodded with a couple of mhm's pitched in.
When the boy finished Yuka glanced at the sword he carried before looking at the ball he held out."Cool things hmm." She thought for a moment then clapped her hand's giving her a wink." Hey maybe some time if I'm free you can tell me all about those people in momma's stories, I'll even show you some cool stuff too Shin Kun~." Yuka stood up now adjusting her scarf when Damien knelt down next to Shin now. She hold back a giggle as he spoke. Lowering herself she would try and give him a story to tell about his scar's. " Tell him a you fought a beast or something, Shaving is to normal." She would whisper into his ear.
With the loud bang of something falling, The teen turned slightly to the noise."How dose she carry that around." Yuka politely waved to the other girl. Yukari Mitsiyo it's nice to meet you."Shortly after introducing herself the PA system echoed down the hall even outside it could be heard. There was a new Raikage now. She was shocked but the girl would know the girls had been surprised too. For the time being she stood still looking at the office door.

Dai covered her ears at the loud metallic bang. "Holy lightning storms!" She exclaimed before turning around and looking at the violet hair colored girl. ....c-cleavage... Dai turned thirty shades red. The Jounin quickly moved her attention elsewhere. Dai scratched her cheek and cleared her throat. "Jounin Dai Imatokai. Welcome to the forces of Kumo." Dai turned quickly with a hue of pink of her cheeks.
The blonde looked up as the PA sounded. News of a new kage rang through it. "Holy crap....Kin actually retired." Dai looked at Suzume a little in disbelief. ...Crap...now what? I can't bring up the eye with Kaileer... Dai moved her head to the hip that had the canister mounted to it.
Dai snorted as Damien made mention that he cute himself by shaving. "What kind of manly excuse is that." Dai buckled over laughing at her genin. The Jounin stood up and wiped away the tear the rolled from her eye. "Yukari is right. Tell him something more manly." Dai looked at Shin and gave him a sweet smile. "I'll try not to keep Yukari to busy. So that you and her can play together sometime, okay Shin~."

Both Shin'ichi and Cloud had jumped, the canine less so than the young boy, when the fan hit the ground. Suzume seemed to tense and look to where the disturbance came from, relaxing only when she saw what had caused the noise. A woman... showing a lot of cleavage that, while Suzume wouldn't care so much about, she felt uncomfortable that her son would see this. Still, she gave a nod in turn to this person she did not recognize and said "It's nice to meet you." Although it was entertaining to see Dai's face turn red like that.
Of course, he son would return the greeting and give the purple haired woman a bow as he introduced himself. Cloud mimicking his owner and giving a nod.
Then something unexpected happen. An announcement came over the PA system, with Kinpaku basically saying she would retire and gave the name of the next Raikage. She didn't recognize the name but she was more taken aback that Kinapku was retiring, the red head exchanging a surprised look with Cloud. Then she looked to Dai "Wow... what do you think she's going to do now?" It honestly made her a little sad, Kinpaku retiring right as she came back.
None of this meant anything to her son though, confused by the announcement before returning his attention back to the people in the room.
The shinobi with the strange face didn't seem as scary anymore, although the blonde seemed a bit worried now that he was told shaving was so dangerous! "So you don't shave anymore?" he asked Damien, hoping he wouldn't have to shave when he got older.
At least hearing that Yukari would want to hear about the tales and show him cool things interested and made Shin a bit excited. "That'd be great. Can you cut through a tree like momma can?" Then hearing that he could play with Yukari more certainly seemed to make him happy. He had someone new to play with! "Thank you Miss Imatokai!"

Kusano looked at the girl the waved and used the hand that wasn't holding the heavy fan to wave back. When the PA went off announcing that there was to be a new raikage Kusano would whistle at the news before asking a question mostly to herself. "So does that mean I get my headband from the old kage or the new one?" As she pondered she put down the fan and went back to the other ninja as her question could wait until one of the kage had more of a break.
Kusano golden eyes looked to a jounin that seemed to blush at kusano's appearance. A smile appeared on the eighteen year old's face as she took out a scroll and opened it while mumbling to herself. "Let's see.... ride a bear into battle. Play a prank on a sannin. Win a sweets eating contest... aha." Kusano smiled and crossed out "make a jounin or higher blush." off her bucket list putting the scroll away before picking up her fan and making her way to the group to make a bit more conversation then just a greeting. Kuu would bow her head to the people that greeted her.
If anyway would look closely into kusano's eyes while she greeted they'd see the clear sign of her bloodline besides color as the ouroboros ring was circled around it continuously looking like it was about to eat it's tail. When she was done with a light greeting she'd look to dai and aked, "Proud to be a kumo-shinobi. I'll do my best if you have an open student spot at all might I take it? I'm sure you might find an ability I have useful later."
When that was asked she changed the subject. Kusano really didn't mean to eavesdrop but she heard the stories from earlier and she wanted to try her luck, "If it's possible would you mind if I attempted to tell a story to your son miss? I have a few that might be fun to tell." Suzune and Shin'ichi didn't really tell Kusano their name so she didn't really know how to address them

Dai raised her thumb to her lips and bit on her nail. "Who knows. I've ever barely seen her out of the office."...except only when she hadn't snuck away to see me... Dai looked at Suzume and saw that sad look. "Come on Suzume, it's not the end of the world. Maybe Kinpaku will finally get to join our antics as a village shinobi." The blonde would snicker as Shin asked if Damien didn't shave anymore. Dai gave a warm nod to the boy as he gave thanks to her.
The Sensor turned to Ku. But this time meeting her eyes and not her opened kimono. "You'll get it from the new Kage." Her emerald eye stared at the girl's eyes. Rather interesting concept of irises. Dai came back to it when the girl addressed her. The Jounin crossed her arms and smiled softly. "You'll have to take that up with the new Kage, Kaileer. But I give you my blessings to join our squad." Dai stared at her over sized fan. "I'm curious to see what you might be able to do with that." Dai looked back at the girl and gave a small smile.

Kusano listened as her questions about the headband and student seemed to be answered, while she waited for the mothers decision she would attempt to start a conversation. As Dai spoke kusano's hands crossed under her own chest mostly to show she was pondering. "So I'd be one of the first to receive her headband from the new kage huh? That seems like good fortune." Kusano pondered if she should add that fact to her bucket list or not however while it was great she already had get her headband in it so she could just add more to that wish when she got it.
Hearing Daitomi's curiosity about the weapon caused Kusano to return the smile as she looked at the fan. "this? It's an interesting weapon to use I'll give you that." She said putting it down as she opened it a little so Daitomi can see the bird designs inside. "It's modeled after the iron fans that were once made in suna. It sees a bit heavy and unwieldy but you use it for wind ninjutus rather then bukijutsu." She said closing it and kicking the base of it using the momentum to bring it up as her hands slide down to the half-way point to the base. "Now when it's closed it sorta acts like a club with the hand freedom of a quarter staff for close range attackers. It's not a combo ready weapon but it's weight gives it a mean swing." She said just play acting the swing.
"However the biggest trick I've discovered to use it is that if you use momentum you can quickly open it for defense or a follow up ninjutsu rather then a second swing. It seems a bit clumsy but if you get the right movements down it's like a elegant flowing dance with another person." She said further explaining before smiling. "Although I'm not good enough from more advanced techniques I got down the basics of it. Though someday I want my own custom one then this one." Kusano said imagining her future weapon. "Though the first thing I'm buying with my paycheck is a weapon scroll to hold it. The combined weight of this and a few things are really killing my back." She complained a bit but grinned happily.

It hadn't quite been how Kinpaku had wanted to welcome in the young man, but hell, it was more than worth it to see the look on his face. Having turned down the flask, she returned it back to her own lips, as Kaileer inquired, rather red faced, about the appointment. Come again? "It isn't hard to get," Kinpaku answered coyly, "In the time you've been here, you've done quite well in leading missions and completing tasks. A little more political savvy, and I think you'll do well." A relative commentary on her observation on the boy. His skill as a monk made for versatility that she couldn't quite achieve any longer. It was time for her to step out of the lime light and do something more useful.
Her decision was taken into question based on her drinking at this momen."Oh, Kaileer. You know little about Oni, and even less of me," laughed the former raikage, "You can ask most anyone, things get broken when I've had too much." The flask tipped upward and was drained completely. It was relative swill compared to what she made often, but it did the job to fill out the time as she regained control. Tipping it back upright, a minor shake revealed droplets only. It was practically dry. She'd have to make something soon, but there was plenty she had to amend personally.

-----right. She was being serious. Dammit, what did I get myself into? And here I thought I was going to be spilling my frustration about the missions I'd received. In the end, I kept that to myself, along with just about anything else I probably should have said, because words stopped working again. I wasn't sure if my mind was buzzing with a thousand thoughts or nothing at all, because words weren't working there either. -----After a long silence of staring at the Rai--the former Raikage--with an expression probably dumb enough she second guessed her decision--which I almost hoped for--I managed to take more than a shallow breath and force myself to think again. Sort of. All those thoughts I wasn't sure I was having shoved their way to the forefront at the same time, and I'm not sure if I panicked or just snapped."Are you out of your mind?" I managed to keep myself from raising my voice, but the anger was still there. "There has to be someone better than me for the position. I haven't even had my headband a year. What about Wanryoku, Daitomi, o-or Myurai? All of them have far more experience." -----I wasn't sure what about the concept made me so angry; I always strove to be in control, but when the power was handed to me so...simply... It didn't seem right. That and the fact it wasn't even discussed before she announced it. The flash of rage faded quickly, however, and I looked away. "Sorry, that was unbecoming." I took a deep breath to calm myself before I returned my gaze to the Oni. "But my point still stands." My hands curled into fists at my side. "Anyway, I hope you're not just going to up and leave as fast as you made that announcement?" From the murmurs beyond the doors behind me, quite a crowd was forming in the lobby.

Dai smiled sweetly at Kusano. "Indeed it does. Seems the fates are smiling on you with good graces." The Jounin watched as the girl brought her weapon from behind her and setting it in front. Opening it just a little as to show off the bird design hidden within. Dai always liked drawings, it reminded her of the days she spent with Shiro, when he would visit her at the orphanage. He would always draw cute little puffy birds for her. Dai continued to study the drawings while Kusano spoke about her weapon. Dai had only seen a handful of weapons come from Suna. The people there seemed to know great weapon crafts. "So it's more for amping wind jutsus rather then being a straight off weapon? Interesting." Dai rubbed her chin as she watched the girl kick the base and brought it up to her hands. "So it's a double use kind of object then." The Jounin listened as Kusano continued on with explaining her weapon. Hearing that she wasn't good enough yet to learn the more advance techniques, Dai gave a grin. "If you join a squad or are assigned to one. You'll quickly strengthen yourself to learn those advance techniques." Hearing that she someday hopes to afford a weapon scroll to hold the majority of the weight of her weapon. Along with a few other things are killing her back. Dai couldn't stop her eye from staring at the girl's chest. ...STOP THAT... The Sensor shook her head and laughed nervously. "I'm sure with a few missions you'll have that scroll in no time."
Dai turned to her students and cleared her throat. "Maybe we should head out. Seems like the office isn't going to clear out anytime soon." Dai pointed to the stairs. "Academy or my favorite training spot?" She asked. "The more training we get in, the tougher missions you two can take with me." She smiled at them.
Damien looked around the room and realized that it was getting rather crowded in there, he heard what his sensei said and knew that he would get more training in if they left " I say that we go to your favorite training spot, we might get more done with the room. " He had no idea where her favorite training spot was though he knew that everyone would be flooding the regular training grounds. He heard the announcement but knew that he would have to congratulate the one man other then 'Nameless' that despised him.

While caught in her own day dream Yuka had been thinking of the question Shin had asked her."Cutting through a tree ..."The teen could picture a older version of herself being able to do almost anything. Clapping her cheek she cleared her throat looking at Suzume with a Envious look. It wasn't a feeling of jealously but more so of admiring. Turning once more to look at Shin's happy face after knowing the two will have play time in the future. "Well I don't know if I can cut through tree's like mommy but I can do this for now."
