Tayu simply shook her head and took his hand, staying silent till they had gotten to the top of the cliff that bore the faces of past Hokages. Then she sat on the edge and gestured for Kikou to join her. "Kikou...we really don't know if we'll get through it this time, do we?" she finally asked quietly, looking out over the village.

Kikou looked at her for a bit "No we don't this is bigger then any mission we've face before" He sat down next to her and wrapped his arm around her

Tayu leaned into the embrace. "I'm scared, Kikou-kun. I never--never thought we'd actually lose Kiri-chan...The three of them--Kiri, Kohane, and Nowe--they're the strongest of us. That's why they were made sannin. And now Kiri's dead...It's not very shinobi-like to admit it, but I'm scared. I don't want to think about the possibility that..." She trailed off, not wanting to even say what she was thinking just then.

Kikou looked off into the village "There's a chance we may all die but even so it would be better then doing nothing and let the village be taken over by Seito"

Tayu let out a breath. "You're right about that, Kikou-kun. I know you are, but that doesn't make me any less scared." She moved closer to him and placed a kiss on his cheek. "I know I promised you before our last mission that, if we survived, I'd go out with you, but it looks like we won't have time for that. So it's your turn to make that promise to me, okay, Kikou-kun?"

Tayu chuckled at how red Kikou got. "Didn't I just say? I want you to promise the same thing I promised you before. That we'll be together if we survive this."

Tayu leaned in and kissed him. Then she pulled away. "We should probably go and get ready for this mission, then."

( Lets try to wrap this up. )
Nowe hadn't returned home. He wasn't even in the village. He had headed straight for the ruin's of the long lost villages. Using every bit of chakra he had to increase his speed as much as he could. By the time he reached his destination, he was gasping for air, but still he pressed on at a slow pace. the famaliar sound of the long dead tenshi kage graced his ears.
"I can not bring her back. Not even this jutsu has enough chakra...it will disapear in a matter of days."
Nowe turned to face the woman, glaring at her. "I know you can't..your not even alive..but you can talk. I need to learn the spirit techniques.

When it was time for the mission to start, Nowe still hadn't returned. Nor did he make any effort to join his fellow leaf ninja that were gathering near the cursed village. The sky's dark, the surrounding forest quiet. The calm before the storm of war.

Standing at the meeting spot Kohane's eyes were closed. She had changed her clothing this time donning vestments similar to the ninja that had pulled her fully into being a medical ninja. The same one she had to destroy at one point by her own hands a doll or not. The once great lady Tsunade could be seen in the new slug sannin. Her clothing had streaks of green in it and in the middle of her forehead sat a jewel that marked one of the strongest jutsu's the slug sannin knew. On her back sat large scrolls strapped to her pack each one with the symbol of the leaf upon it. There was no way of knowing what was going to be thrown at them so she had not packed lightly this time. Enough medical supplies to aid an army sat with these two scrolls.
Hanging off of a tree the young chunnin swung his legs back and forth. Below him embedded in the side of the tree his spear resided fully extended and ready to go to war. He had prepared since they had left the hokage's office but he wished now that he had more time to. The one jutsu that gave them a major advantage against strong projectile attacks was still a work in progress. Sighing kyo jumped down landing on the spear's handle as he looked around. So far Nowe was no where to be found and was late unfortunately. What worried him more was Zane's condition. He knew he was still going to fight even if he was in no shape to and he wished he wouldn't.

"Good morning favorite student." Zane said cheerily as he appeared next to Kyo, looking a lot better than he had the last Kyo had seen him. Zane's attire had taken a drastic change too. He now wore a coat similar to what the Fourth Hokage had worn and had made sure he had weapons all the way down to his feet. He was not planning on sitting this fight out, no matter what. Below, Zane noticed Yumi with some of the ninja from her village and he sighed inwardly, even she had asked him not to come today and he felt bad that so many people were worrying about him it made him want to throw up, but nevertheless, he was there and ready.

Tayu and Kin walked up to the meeting spot, nodding to Zane and Kyo. Kita rode on Tayu's shoulder as pre-usual. Tayu gestured toward Kohane, and Kin nodded silently. Tayu walked up and tapped Kohane on the shoulder. "You look like a figure out of the history books, Kohane-chan. Like the Fifth's come back from the dead," she said quietly.
