Romy 's eyes lit up with excitement. "I play Chaser! Of course, Remy's the star Chaser, and Caitlin's on her heels... but at least I made it!" he said excitedly. He hoped Alaric would make it, he needed friends on the team. His cheeks were still faintly pink, but he didn't seem to notice, and through his smile, his dimples glowed.

Alaric smiled. The boy seemed like he was wired on electricity or something.
"Well, congratulations. Maybe I'll join you," he said as he was looking out at their progress. They were still amongst trees as far as he could tell.
The boy was still smiling, and a little pink. Alaric cleared his throat and smiled a bit awkwardly.

When Elli climbed in, Cameron hopped up and sat down next to her, their thighs touching. She's just so pretty, he thought, looking down at her. "So.." he said, holding the "o" sound for a little shorter than the girl did. The Gryffindor shifted in his seat slightly in an attempt to get comfier. They were alone as the carriage began moving. Okay, now is the perfect timing. The third year didn't want to creep Elli out or make her feel uncomfortable in any way, so instead of making a huge move, he placed her arm around her neck. "The lake's creepier than this, isn't it?" he asked, wondering if she'd agree with him. Although the lake that the first years had to cross was beautiful with Hogwarts' lights reflecting in the water, it was completely black. Just knowing that creatures lurked in there, creatures they haven't even seen or heard of, caused anxiety.

Nice to meet you. I am an only child. So no, I don't have any siblings here. That must be really exciting to have some siblings around though!" Shayna said quickly. She was so excited. She smiled as she realized that the Grounds keeper was talking."Yes, Let's go David!" she replied and followed the others to the boats. Keeping up with David who she hoped would end up being her best friend.

Grace raised her eyebrows in surprise at the boy's story. "You ran into a werewolf? Wow. I'm glad you weren't bit...." She glanced towards the carriages where everyone seemed to be heading. "Er... We should probably get to the carriages Rufus." She muttered, wringing her hands together awkwardly. She was wondering if striking up a conversation had been such a good idea. She was glad that Rufus at least hadn't mentioned summer or told her how sorry he was. She was sick of the pity everyone kept giving her, and animals was a safe subject, especially with her love of them. Even so, she was still having difficulties even talking to people. Michelle poked Ada in the side, raising an eyebrow at her. "I thought you got over your social anxiety." She said with a smirk. She glanced back at Ronyo and shook her head. "Trust me, even if you don't need or want his help, Ronyo will most definitely show up and help anyways. It's kind of his thing. " Michelle said. 'And ruining my fun... he tends to do that quite a lot too...' Alaric tried not to smile when Romy said he could teach him. His mouth was twitching like it usually did in these situations. It wasn't that he needed to learn, he was adequate in almost every Quidditch position. He didn't want to sound cocky or anything, so he just smiled nicely.
"Sure, that would be great."
The boy had stuttered the first part out. He didn't seem like a shy kid, so Alaric started to wonder what that was about.

Romy smiled and blushed a tinge. "Cool! I can't wait!" he said. Chaser climbed onto Romy's lap and stared at Alaric. "Mew?" the cat mewled before leaping into Alaric's lap. Romy reached out for his cat with an embarrassed blush. "Bloody heck, Chaser! I-I'm sorry Alaric! I didn't mean to let him jump!" he said hurriedly. He sincerely hoped his new friend wasn't mad.

Alaric looked down at the other boy's cat crawl on him. He was surprised when it seemed like Romy thought Alaric was going to yell at him or something. Thor, on Alaric's shoulder, had come back without the boy realizing it, and was now staring at the cat curiously.
"It's not a big deal, I like animals." Alaric thought it was funny. It's not like he had the patience of a twig or anything.
"Well, it seems like it's time to get up to the castle. You can still walk with me if you want," he said as he got out of the carriage.
