♘ (Ryoku) Kageton: Kage no Gugen [ Shadow Release: Embodiment of Shadow ] Rank: A Official Description: The user draws up their entire shadow around their body, channeling chakra through it in order to mold it into some form of beast ( user's choice. ) This shadow shell operates as both a defense and an offense, as it grants the wearer improved physical strength and defense, while weighing literally nothing. Additionally, because the Nara are capable of controlling shadows, the shell can be manipulated to perform other techniques, or as simple limb transformations. Unfortunately, this also means that light sources (flashes, sunlight, etc) can dispel the shell, but within dark areas, this jutsu is to be feared. Guild Description: Lasts [10] posts. ♘(Ryoku) Kagemane no Jutsu [ Shadow Imitation Technique ] Rank: C Official Description: The Shadow Imitation Technique allows the user to extend their shadow on any surface (even water) and as far as they want as long as there is a sufficient area. Once it comes into contact with a target's shadow, the two merge and the target is forced to imitate the user's movements. Therefore, the two can throw shuriken at each other at the same time if the user desires (of course, to prevent hurting themselves, the user just has to have the shuriken holster in a place where you don't normally have it, like the back, so that the opponent draws nothing when the user draws a shuriken). If the target is out of range, the user can produce a better light source to increase their shadow's size or rely on preexisting shadows for their shadow to freely travel through. It's also possible to split one's shadow, either to trap more opponents at once, or to create a distraction. The major downside of the Shadow Imitation is that it is tiring to use repeatedly; Hidan notes that the ability is subject to some form of diminishing return and decreases in potency after repeated use (Shikamaru can only maintain it for 5 minutes per use). If the user is low on chakra, the performance rate of the technique also deteriorates. Insufficient lighting will make the technique less effective. A particularly strong opponent can also resist the shadow's forced imitation. Watching the puppets that their superior had summoned as well as reveling his style. They came crashing down as if the controller had lost all influence over them. That narrowed it quiet a bit. To confirm his suspicion he pressed the latch on his mechanical whip. He was not surprised at all to see it do nothing. 'Great so that's about as useless as a steel brick' Hearing through the open telepathy with Ibara he heard a warning to cover his ears. No real way to tell what was about to happen. Giving short time to react to the warning he had to think fast of how he could prevent whatever was coming to his allies and himself. Glancing back he noticed Sacreia and Chloe were less than a meter away made things sightly easier.
Saying out loud to cover their ears would immediately warn the UHV soldiers to do the same. Given the distance between them he thought it easier to react and have them follow. Making a quick string of hand signs he sent his shadow back to Chloe and Sacreia both. Upon making it connection he reached to his belt and whirled one single kunai at the Uhv troops and their general aimed as well as he could while making a leap backwards out the open entrance. While in the air he clasped his ears to avoid hearing whatever would launched about now or in mere moments. He had to attempt to give them something to be distracted with while they prevented whatever sound was coming their way.
The jump backwards would have placed them right outside of the opening with the girls still placed behind him. Although they were ninja, he did not want to put them in danger that he himself would not face first. Waiting a moment holding his ears he consulted Ibara to learn when the sound related jutsu was used and what it was. Once learning what had taken place he took a few steps forward with the Uhv still inside the building. Using this jutsu for the first time in a battle would be interesting. Learning it during such a time of peace in the village, Ironic using it now to return things to that time.
Making the hand seal and standing under the awning of the front of the building to not be standing directly under the sunlight. The entire shadow under him engulfs his body to quickly form what could only be described as a giant crow, given the color being black. Spreading its wings in anticipation. Awaiting their move.
Chloe was paralized before she even knew what happened. She knew that somehow their attack was dispersed along with her clones in the crossfire. Her arm seemed to move with Ryoku's movement grabbing at nothing and acting as if she had thrown it. Having wearing no kunai or projectile in general. Quickly leaping backwards back to the outdoors with her hands cupping her ears. Ryoku still at her front. She was unsure as to what was going on but trusted in her master with her life.
Sacreia watched as everything that happened was pretty much pushed aside like a annoying fly. Her jaw slightly dropped as she saw the devastation that was left of the academy. Maybe sending that many clay creations was a bad thing. She noted that in the back of her mind for next time, it just didn't seem to cross her mind at that exact moment. As she was thinking to herself she saw the shadowy figure step forward or at least look like he glided forward. a Small twitch of fear struck her as she looked upon his face, making a quick gulp she waited to see what was to come next.
And her dream had come true. This guy just pulled ten puppets off of a scroll. Her eyes went wide for a second but then the look of what just happened appeared on her face as the puppets that were once alive and moving around went flat on the ground like logs being dropped onto the floor. As she was about to turn around she felt like her entire body locked up and in her mind realized she was now trapped under a damn jutsu by none other then Ryoku. Sighing she mimicked his actions and grabbed her kunai that just so happened to be place on the exact same side as his was and tossed it at the UHV before quickly covering her ears like she had no control over her body at all.
Thinking to herself she wondered why all of a sudden he wanted to cover his ears but didn't dwell on the subject, then to realize she was being let go laying her hands down she turned to look at Ryoku trying to figure out what in the world was going on. There was so much she didn't understand right now what was going on. Within a blink of an eye everything changed so drastically it was gonna take her a few to really catch up. And right now this battle was not a place to try to regain knowledge it was more of a save your damn a** before you die moment.
Within that instant she turned back towards the fight not seeing any kind of change she suddenly felt lightheaded from all this that was going on and dropped to her knees. She felt like her life flashed before her eyes and there was no rewind because she missed half of it. Sitting there on the ground she looked at her hands still trying to figure out what could of gone wrong. Shaking her head she quickly regained focus on what was ahead of her but still it felt like she had no feeling in her legs. So standing back up was not in the cards right now, but she had to act fast in case things went sour.
XXXXXIbara watched Bast slap a piece of paper down and announce that the UHV tech was useless. Inside the building the puppets the general had summoned crashed to the floor. Ibara smirked and was about to move when ryouichi approached and told him to cover his ears. Ibara did so while Ryouichi hummed. Once the humming concluded he removed his hands and attempted to take the gunbai from his back. Failing to do so he cursed under his breath. "Damn it.." he sighed. Watching as Ryoku, Sacrei and Chloe leaped from the building and ryoku used a technique that Ibara hadn't seen him use before. Ibara decided to stay a while and watch what came next, of course he wasn't going to flee as Bast had instructed, he was capable of fighting, more than capable he was just biding his time seeing what the enemy was capable of doing while the others fought, much like a heavy weight fighter would size up their opponent in a title match.

With all that Satemy had seen so far nothing surprised him anymore. So he watched patientlyas everyone seem to explode into action. Yet another shinobi arrived in the area an Satemy wasnt sure who. Regardless he had plenty of allies as of now. So there weren't an issue. Satemy's jutsu was overwritten by another genjutsu suddenly. This he immediately noticed and scoffed. No one was gonna catch him in that level of genjutsu. Making a handsign that the others just couldnt match he focused for a minute moment and released himself from the pathetic attempt at putting him under. Satemy then wiped the back of his hand across his forehead. reapplying his own genjutsu. Satemy then went back to attacking the enemy in the same brutal manner as before. He wasnt sure if the puppets were broken or disabled but he didnt care. his eyes flashing red he made another handsign. Suddenly his form shifted like a mirage for another moment before 91 tentacles the others formed all over his body but bigger and with a lot more reach he could now grab up to twenty five meters around him in a three hundred degree area completely hiding all but his eyes. in addition to this additional eyes sprang up all over him. increasing his size an laying a hidden effect. Satemy moved into the enemy rapidly using the tentacles to propel him forward farther and faster than his own body could Satemy would then send nearly every tentacle that was free to wrap and disable every enemy soldier cutting of there movement and ability to breathe while he slammed them into nearly everything solid around him with enough force crack bones. They shouldnt worry though he would be delivering them to the Hokage alive.

The general took care of the blast of wind he had fired before the soliders watched as the Nara and his little crew dipped from the building, holding their ears. With the general in front of them they figured something was going on as the general's army crashed to the ground. The soliders decided it was time to retreat. They started booking for the window where the crazy tentacle man wasn't on the opposite side of the academy. With their hands to their ears they crashed out of the window right as the building seemingly exploded from lord knows what. The wood flying over their head chunks of wood crashing around them the got up and began sprinting from the area down the streets and back alleys of Konohagakure toward the river docks. The academy explosion did however manage to impale one of the soliders as he fell the weapons and armor he possessed vanished into nothingness.
The general formed hand seals once he realized what was happening. Expanding his chest expelling a blast of fuuton chakra canceling the bullet that was blasted back at him. Without any wasted effort and realizing his men were retreating as their mission was mostly accomplished the general decided he'd leave one last parting gift. Holding his ears as the three that stood before him. He slammed his hand down on the ground summoning one last 'puppet.' This puppet was a large ball. It appeared just as the Kunai thrown by Ryoku and Sacreia reached him and was embedded in the wood. The general with know way to move it since his puppets no longer functioned they way they were intended kicked it down the hall and darted the way his soldiers went. Crashing out the window he landed on his stomach. "Oh my oh me." he said as he stood a shard of wood flying toward him he burst into a cloud of smoke as a log slammed into the log that replaced him. He moved around the side of the building and watched as the 'boulder' he had summoned shot out of the building flying rapidly toward what appeared to be the Kazekage (Bast). Nova smiled and stood at the corner of the building and watched as the academy fell and to see what would happen with his boulder, if what he expected happened it couldn't have been better.

"s**t,"Ayame cursed as she saw what the general was up to. She nodded to Daichi and connected herself to him as she shot off and was in front of the former Kazekage in an instant. Keep up appearances right? The boulder would hit them and they stumbled back a bit almost falling, the lightning armor was the only thing protecting them from the large mass of wood hitting them. They shook their head and growled low in their throats, something was wrong. The UHV were still here, but hadn't Lady Bast got them all out. They looked around saw the biggest target. Bird that was all that went through their mind. They grabbed their katana off their back and went for him. They had to protect what was theirs. She growled again and put her raiton down her blade she slashed out four times and then looked around, green blue eyes glowing with malice.

♘ (Ryoku) Technique Name: Deep Shadow Evasion -10 chakra Rank: B Type: Bloodline Element: Kageton Description: The Nara clan user can enter his own shadow as a means to quickly escape or advance on a target near a local shadow in the immediate area (Half mile range, within thread) This is an alternative to the elemental or non elemental body flicker technique. The reason for the higher chakra rank is the user is able to stay hidden in the local shadows for one additional post after entering before having to emerge in one of the local shadows. This is also to prevent being auto killed if all shadows are expelled in the area. The user has the ability to use some clan ability while hidden in the shadows.

Ryoku saw the building begin to crumble and then instantly explode outward from the first floor. As if the building suddenly filled up with an ocean of water, yet no water was inside. Instead he saw some form of giant identical inside. Swatting away the incoming debris from the building away from Sacreia and Chloe. Now standing directly in the way of whatever was left in the building and all of his allies to his back.
Seeing a giant bolder looking ball come flying out of the dojo towards one of the more distant allies, turning his attention back towards the academy he could see the UHV troops retreating taking a stance about ready to engage them hes embodiement of shadow jutsu dispersed quickly on its own. Feeling a warm damp feeling on his back followed by his hands and feet going numb. Reaching back to see what it was he felt the second impact far more than the first. Across his back once more as well as his arm this time. The feeling of this was much more recognizable as a raiton attack of an extremely high grade. His Anbu armor and steel arm guard undoubtedly broke from impact. Turning despite the pain of everything he wanted to see who was launching the attack. Managing to turn his body enough to see whatever was attacking him another slice of raiton struck the last bit of his anbu armor across his chest, splitting it in two falling from his body.
Blood erupted from his shoulder down across his chest to his lower side. The strength left his body for the most part but he could make out one final attack approaching him. Like the grim reaper himself was moving at amazing speed to claim his life. Using the last of his consciousness to perform one single jutsu.. it was all that he could have done in attempts to save himself. Moving his hand into a sloppy hand seal he sank quickly into the shadow beneath him mostly generated from the incoming bright raiton attack approaching him. Once in his own shadow it quickly disappeared due to the raiton attack crashing into the ground of where he vanished.
Once inside his jutsu he could see the many exits he had as options to escape but his body had other plans. His eyes grew heavy and the light started to fade. Knowing he had to escape if he wanted to live mattered little to his muscles rebelling to his every command. He was not sure what condition he was in, he just knew he wanted to sleep... forever.
Chloe stood paralyzed at the sight of Ryoku being struck down. It looked as though he suffered not one but three mortal blows to his back, his lower back and arm and once more across his chest. He sunk quickly dodging the final attack into his evasion shadow technique. But after taking that much damage he could not make it out on his own. She scanned the area quickly for Shimo, for he was the only one that could retrieve him from that point.

XXXXXIbara stood silently where he was scanning the academy with his sharingan watching the group of five chakra signatures start to high tail it. That was when the academy exploded. Ibara slapped his hand to his face and pulled down on it. "For the love of..." Ibara sighed. He turned to Jurei. "Save the academy with your mokuton please?" It really appeared that the leaf would need to work on this wonderful thing called teamwork. The explosion of the academy sent shrapnel anywhere. A rather large chunk of wood came flying at Ibara and Jurei. Seeing this coming Ibara quickly withdrew his katana and sliced the log in half sending it flying away from Ibara and the pair of senju next to him. looking down at the group on the ground Ibara's jaw dropped. When he witnessed what he was seeing. It appeared to be a werewolf mauling the now Hokage. Ibara resisted the urge to scream as his best friend and closest ally was being sliced to ribbons by the crazed woman. The urge wasn't resisted long as Ryoku fell. Then vanished along with his chakra. He screamed from the top of his lungs."Ryoku! NO!" tears streaking down his cheeks as he witnessed his best friend slain by what he assumed, and what a fatal assumption it was an ally. His eyes once more swirled revealing something new his hate for the woman becoming strong before he realized what was going on, but still it didn't change the fact she had cut down not only his best friend but the Hokage whom he told he would protect, and what a lousy protector he had turned out to be. When Ayame turned and started looking at the others he realized with his new eye sight something in her chakra was off. "Genin, and chuunin, get out of here. NOW!" He commanded as he leaped down from the roof of the building katana still drawn and free hand prepared to cast any jutsu he needed. Any move that was made by Ayame would be predicted and ibara would move to intercept as the lower ranks made their escape.

Jurei watched as Ibara cut away the wood shrapnel that sped towards them. He rose and shook his head, shielded by his mask and hood, sighing at the former kages request. In truth he could've saved the academy but it would be counter productive considering he could rebuild it later. The space on which they stood became a battleground, hardly a place one would want to repair. He then watched in horror as Ryoku was cut down by Ayame, a strange development from his standpoint. As Ibara screamed his pupil seemed to change as he leaped into battle. Jurei followed close behind forming a single handsign, the snake. As he cast the jutsu the ground would begin to rumble as a result of the immense forest that would erupt from below. The signature jutsu of Mokuton would aim to ensnare Ayame, something of that magnitude nigh impossible to avoid fully.

He yelled out for his brother, knowing that he was getting away from the fighting but he wasn't sure that he could get out by himself. He started to form the same seals that Ryoku used to run but there was a particular order that made him hesitate. Ibara had ordered all Genin and Chuunin to evacuate the academy. The Genin finished the string of seals and sank into his own shadow. Inside the realm of darkness, various shadow exits as far as he could see, Shimo saw Ryoku drifting there, not looking good.
Approaching the fallen Nara, Shimo called out, "Ryoku, you're going to get out of here, I promise you." The younger brother called out. He lifted him up on his good side, and dragged him to one of the exits a bit further away. He moved at a fair pace as he walked through the smothering blackness before he reached one of the further light exits, and emerged into the real world at the gates. Techniques Learned: Technique Name: Deep Shadow Evasion Rank: B Type: Bloodline Element: Kageton Description: The Nara clan user can enter his own shadow as a means to quickly escape or advance on a target near a local shadow in the immediate area (Half mile range, within thread) This is an alternative to the elemental or non elemental body flicker technique. The reason for the higher chakra rank is the user is able to stay hidden in the local shadows for one additional post after entering before having to emerge in one of the local shadows. This is also to prevent being auto killed if all shadows are expelled in the area. The user has the ability to use some clan ability while hidden in the shadows.

Theodin stood surprised when the 5 UHV soldiers substituted out of the building and their general appeared. Damn this guy was creepy. He saw the man’s puppets appear then watched as they all dropped useless. Suddenly he heard a weird humming noise. He had a sense that it was a genjutsu used by one of his allies, and used Kai to release himself from it. He then saw the general launch a huge wooden boulder at Bast and vanish. Watching, he saw Ayame enter hybrid mode with Daichi and intercept the boulder, then proceed to go into a rage and start launching chidori cuts at one of the konoha ninjas. “Mom must be out of her mind!” he thought as he saw the konoha-nin fall and the hokage land near Ayame. He could see it in her eyes that she wasn’t herself and felt he had to do something. Running towards the doorway as explosions went off all around him, Theodin performed a few handsigns and thrust his arms behind him, racing out of the building in an instant as gusts of wind shot from his palms. As he got near Ayame, he launched himself into the air to avoid being trapped in the trees that started growing. Flipping over Ayame's head, he focused sealing chakra into his finger as he reached down and poked her head to seal a command into her mind, just two words “Calm down.” He figured he’d pay for that later, but it would be worth it if it meant helping and protecting his family,….his pack. He landed back on his feet and threw on his xray lens, looking around for any enemies that might still be around.

Bast had been prepared to block not only the boulder, but all of the shrapnel heading for her when Ayame intervened. The woman had already instinctively assimilated the steel of her headband when the Hatake went berserk, but it took her a moment to realize what was happening. When it hit her, the ex-Kage stepped between Bastion and his sister.
"Ayame Hatake," Bast began, growing obviously more enraged by the second. Two dark purple cubes, each roughly the size of a small car, would appear around both of the berserk Suna-nin's hands after Theodin was done, a thin barrier stretching between them and holding her hands apart. The next word came in the heaviest, angriest voice anyone in Suna had ever heard Bast use: "Sit."
Everyone in the area would suddenly find themselves wholly incapable of casting Raiton techniques.
Watching the academy fall to the ground and debris flying everywhere, she stood up from where she was on the ground finally getting the feeling and the power back into her legs. Ryoku then hopped in front of her and Chloe protecting them from the flying debris of the building. just as she was about to so something to more or less congratulate Ryoku she saw the ninja girl from Suna just lash out at him like an adult beating a child with a stick for some sort of wrong doing.
Watching as he was struck three times and dodged the last strike, before she could move she heard a small gasp from Chloe who was fear-stricken from seeing Ryoku being beaten down. She had no idea what happened all she knew was that he vanished right into the ground and he was badly hurt. Taking only mere milliseconds to react she grabbed Chloe and quickly made hand seals while still holding onto her. They both began to sink into the ground at a very fast rate moving away from the situation before too much stuff could take place. Coming back out further back away from all the commotion and away from the eyes of everyone else. As she let go of Chloe she reached up and smacked her across the face to finally snap her out of it. "Was that really taking place? What is going on around here it seems like this is getting out of hand here."
And in that instant she felt a sudden rage of anger fear and just about every horrible feeling rush over her. Without waiting for another word or even thinking clear thoughts she stepped out of where she was facing right for Ayame She took a breath in deeply expanding her lungs really wide. Letting out the breath out a Giant Fireball went hurtling towards Ayame at an alarming rate. She then used that to cover where she was now hiding with Chloe again. This was all wrong and she had no idea how to stop it or change anything that was happening.
