Robby nodded slowly at the word "training." He was doing that too. Keeping the food safe and fresh just in case he lost all other sources of sustenance too long. The obese lad would reach out to pat Wayne on the shoulder heavily, and nod. "You're a better traveler than I thought."
And then he would point, with the same hand, in the direction Darumi and N hid. "You gonna eat that, though? Cause I'm still hungry." He didn't know for sure if something was over there, though. Just that some perfect stew meat was waiting...

"That's no mountain," N quietly corrected to Darumi. "That's no man, either. It's a monster."
As if on cue, Robby turned and pointed towards the bush N and Darumi hid behind. Oh no. We've been spotted.
The green haired trainer jumped out from behind the bush, putting himself into a fighting stance he had adopted from watching Gorm and Zack battle. "You shall not eat this pokemon, you fiend!" he passionately exclaimed, hiding Darumi behind his body. "He's my friend!"

Darumi rolled out of the way hiding place as well, eyebrows blazing. Then he spotted Robby and got a good look at the obese lad.
[Whoa, wait about twelve seconds here.] God that sounded like such a long time to wait. [That's mount bro, he helped me out when we first began our adventure. Wetotallygotbeatupandhewasall 'bam, rescue service'. I don't think he means any harm.]

"Norbert? I didn't know you had a Darumaka...?" Wayne said, his wide eyes blinking slowly.
Meanwhile Elizabeth smiled happily at the overall scene. Zack was sitting next to her with a bored expression and she had her head against his shoulder.
"Reminds me of our pokémon journey," she said nostalgically.
"Ahuh."
"Remember all those weird things that happened?"
"Not really no."

Robby looked from Darumi, then to N, then to the rambling old people. It seemed he was struggling with what to say next, and his words were summarized perfectly when his stomach growled. Very very loudly.

"This Darumaka is a new friend of mine," N told Wayne, preferring not to use terms that implied possession. He wasn't sure if Wayne actually thought his name was Norbert or if he just wanted to call him that for the sake of a nickname, but he felt the need to correct him on that as well. "And my name is N."
"You say that he's harmless? Him?" N asked Darumi with mild disgust in his voice. Then Robby's stomach growled, and N tensed up again.
If he wanted to integrate himself better with all of his candidates, he knew he needed to relax his disposition somewhat. I'm not going to fit in without loosening my beliefs around these people. It won't be easy, but if Darumi trusts me then I have to trust Darumi.
N sighed and stood up straight, calming himself down. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be so accusatory," he apologized through clenched teeth.

There was something terrifying about Robby's stomach. He tensed up himself when he heard the rumble. [Ehehehe, maybeweshouldtotallyscram,] he told N as he looked up at the boy. Then he looked at mount bro. It wasn't that he wanted to distrust the giant mass, rather that it was as if he had some built in fear of that rumbling stomach.

"Well my name is WL!" Wayne announced, jamming a thumb into his chest.
"He's not seriously going with that, is he...?" Elizabeth muttered lowly but Zack stood up, walking towards the scene, hand against his cracking neck.
"Friend? Are you serious?" he asked N, his tone clearly meant to mock, "Pokémon are just animals; they're not your friends. There's a reason we've subjugated them for centuries and it isn't because humanity needs a hug. They're useful, and that's all."
"Dad..." Wayne said quietly, trailing off before showing the ground pained eyes.

((Note: i dont plan on having Takamaru win. but i also dont plan on having him loose easily either.))
with a cry of pain Takamaru was struck on his collar bone, at which time he jumped a few steps backwards to remove himself form Eunmi's range of attack. it took some effort but he was able to shake off the pain. first his elbow joint now his collar bone too?
'This woman's way tougher than i thought...' him self becoming wary at the thought that he might actually lose this battle.
He quickly extinguished these thoughts. 'No, i must win. or mama will whisk me back off to jhoto' his thoughts becoming worried yet again.
Then again Takamaru would charge his opponent, he would faint to the left but double back into a kick into her thigh or lower area.
'I must... fight harder' he screamed within his thoughts.

Off to the distance both Mai and Kari watched as Takamaru was having a hard time defeating his opponent.
"Mama.." spoke little Kari, worried also evident.
Picking up her daughter mai spoke, "Dont worry, Takamaru will be fine.." she trailed off. 'Dont stop.... Takeru!'

N ignored Darumi's pleas to look Wayne's dad straight in the eye. He did not care if Zack was half responsible for leveling a building along with Gorm, he wouldn't flinch in the face of this kind of a person. Such talk was the exact reason why N had set out on his journey in the first place.
"You're right about humanity's possession of pokemon for the use of making them tools," he said in a level headed manner, standing his ground before Zack. "It looks like you're all too willing to accept such terms of living. It's only humans who have such callous disrespect for the lives of others."
"Would you say that we're so much better than they are that we have the right to enslave them in pokeballs? To make them battle for our amusement? Humanity has adopted a way of life where we can't live without pokemon alongside us. They are the truly superior beings. The only reason we overpower their wills is because the spirit of humanity is infinite, careless greed."

Eunmi sprang up, twisting left 360 degrees to gain momentum, the jump aiding her attack. Her left lifted only to be crossed over by her right as she would strike at her opponent's head with a Tornado kick, gaining height and momentum from the spinning jump. With Takamaru locked in his own kick, his balance would be shifted forward, placing him without much range to avoid Eunmi's longer leg plus it's additional height from the jump. Any attempt to jump back on the other leg, while supporting his weight with the momentum of the kicking leg, wouldn't make enough distance to avoid such an attack from the teenager.
It would probably hurt, a lot, if it landed. The teenager was striking with the side and partial heel of her boot, most likely. If he rose to block, her force was still likely stronger than his arms - her being a 17 year old girl with over 7 years of Taekwon-do experience left her leg's pretty strong in comparison to a boy that might not have even hit puberty yet.
((If you're intent is not to win, then I would like to end this tournament today.))

"Yeah, I'd say that. Pokémon are animals, that's it," Zack replied with a smirk, "Are you gonna try and argue against that? If you hate civilisation so much go cry in a forest somewhere."
He put his hand through his hair and grinned.
"Or are you gonna try and destroy our nice, happy society? Cause I would love to see you try."
