I want armor but Takumi seems to only have vests and such for torso's. They do have braces but what about the torso?

Yeah, the arms that's it. They have no cuirass or chestplates though. Only vests and a jacket.

This special material can be requested during any garment construction. Nitinol, or Nickel Titanium, is a durable metal alloy that can be applied in patches to garments. After all, if it were fully covered, you'd just have a suit of armor! A-anyway... Nitinol is typically applied to the chest area to prevent it from being easily sliced through, but can be placed on arms or legs as well.
Just do what the description advises against and get your garment fully covered.

Mmm... depends on how the armor is set up...
I like chain mail... but I also like scale and plate... So long as the plate isn't like hundred some odd pounds. :I
