"The rules of this tournament say that only humans may battle," N explained to Lancer, putting it in a nutshell for the pokemon. "To tell you the truth, I much prefer that to a pokemon battle, as barbaric as it is."
Moze looked over to N and Lancer curiously. "...can you understand what that pokemon is saying?"
N eyed the musician for a second, taking note of the Sage robes. "Yes, I can."
"Wowwwww!" Moze leaned forward excitedly, making N slightly anxious. "That must be a marvelous sound! Are they good talking partners? Do they have nice singing voices? Oh, I'm sorry, I'm just so curious!"
N laughed dryly at Moze's enthusiasm, then he turned to Lancer. "Well? Would you say you have a good singing voice?"
The two young men were paying no attention to the battle anymore, in which Salieri retracted her arm before it could be grabbed. She furrowed her brow. "You picked a bad time for a chit-chat," she scolded as she rose an arm up and curled her hand into a fist.
"Seriously, are you in the right place right now? Who are you, anyway?" Salieri brought the fist down towards Henrietta's head for a gravity assisted hammer blow.

Before Medics could arrive Mai (Justs to clarify, his mother) rushed to his side along with Kari and Ookami (Kari, his little sister, Age, 2. Ookami, A Riolu that does not belong to Takamaru) carrying a first aid kit.
It would not take long for Mai to fix her son Up, but he would remain unconscious for a little while longer. while unconscious he would be free to sort out his thoughts. he had a lot to think about.
now then, on the Eunmi.
"young lady, whats your name?" it was a simple question enough, right?

"Sung Eunmi," Eunmi replied, asserting enough of an accent in the pronunciation in her name, just incase she needed to feign not understanding English very well. She stared up at the woman, a little intimidated by her tone.

WHAM! Henrietta fell to her knees and reached out to clutch Salieri's pants legs. "J-just o-one s-second!" she said. Her head ached now, she'd been hit hard enough to put tears in her eyes.
"I-it's me, H-henrietta," she spoke, just loud enough for only Salieri to hear her. She then looked up at the other girl.
"P-please."

No way. Frail Henrietta had joined a martial arts competition? Salieri felt bad that she had just pounded her friend's skull. Especially since it was Henrietta. Seriously, that girl looked like she could have fallen over dead the night before.
Salieri pulled up the leg Henrietta's was grabbing onto so her knee would rise up to her chest. If Henrietta still held on, she'd be lifted back to a partially standing position while Sal balanced on one leg.
"I can't beat you up, you'll make me look like a jerk!" she growled in a harsh whisper. "Tap out!"

Henrietta took the chance to stand up herself. Dizzily, she forced herself to stand before Salieri. "N-no, l-listen, p-please."
Then she'd go on to tell Salieri about Gorm, about how he kidnapped Darumi. About his words. About how Eunmi entered the tournament for her, and how she didn't want the other girl to get hurt for her sake. How she'd fought Gorm, so Eunmi didn't need to fight anymore. She'd further explain that Eunmi had said she couldn't fight, and that she'd lied and that that had peeved Henrietta a bit.
"S-so," she began when her speech was done, "let me face Eunmi, p-please. I-i'll give you anything you want."

((You wanna continue this Mai Eunmi interaction, let's do it in [past] posts, 'cause Trop wants to move on.))
Eunmi stood opposite of Bill. He seemed cool, almost arrogant, and his calm demeanor made Eunmi nervous. So far, her fights had been pretty easy, even if the threat of Robby's weight could have crushed her, his form wasn't very strong. Takamaru didn't even know martial arts, it seemed, even though his heart seemed in the right place.
The teenager kept her eyes on her opponent, knowing from seeing glimpses of other fights that some of her opponents were more than they appeared.

Bill's expression was calm at first, bored. His lips parted then with an annoyed sigh. "Why is it that the finals consist of bitches and myself? How you even got passed the first round it beyond me." With that he took his stance, arms up, knees bent, a basic boxing stance.

"So he can fight," Eunmi thought to herself as the man took a stance. She stepped back, raising her arms defensively. She smiled at him.
"Oh, and here I thought you were the b***h," Eunmi grinned.

Mai stepped a tad closer "well, miss Sung.." her voice now plain and bland.
she took a few moments to respond, you know, for dramatic effect.
"i must thank you for teaching my son that life dose not always turn out to be like an anime" she said with a small smile, he voice lined with Kindness, her natural tone.
"im afraid that when he set off on this journey that he thought that it would always turn out in his favor, and so i thank you for knocking him back down to reality" she finished but didn't stop talking for long.
"but i also must state this, i am in no way shape or form pleased with the betting you showed my son. Rather it was me out there in his stead thing s would have turned out much different indeed" her voice changing from kind to harsh and challenging.
after which she abruptly switched back into her natural worn smile, "well, i wish you luck in your next fight, well be cheering for you" and with that she walked away, back towards her son and Daughter leaving Eunmi to sort out what had just occurred.
