Having taken himself a different spot on the ship Joesph watched down as he sat on the railings by the ships wheel. He had only taken a few bites of his sandwich and now simply let his eyes trace from one group to another. They settled on each of the crewmen for a time who were performing even drawing a few laughs out of him for some things. His mind was focused more on the thought of leaving this place as he had said he planned to. Was that really the decision he wanted now he still wasn't fully sure. His eyes landed on the Goddess for a moment as she walked up and showed a bit of her power to the crew members pulling water up the side of the ship and shaping it into different creatures and such.

"Brava, milady!" Jaqueline called out, clapping along with her crew in response to the Goddess's display. "An' now I believe our party must come ta an end. Those'a you on night duty take yer posts. The rest'a yous head ta yer berths." With that, the crew started returning tables and chairs to the galley and heading off to bed. Jaqueline walked up to Calypso and began talking with her, gesturing toward the captain's cabin. The Goddess shook her head and went to stand at the fore'ard bow, looking out on the sea. Jaqueline shrugged and took her leave of the deck, going into the very cabin to which she had been gesturing--her own.

Standing where he was Joesph simply watched each of the crew members walking around and putting things back as they were. Moving tho he helped a few of them here and there after the captain had already left. A single day remained until they reached Tortuga which would likely mark the end of his journey upon the ship. Sighing from time to time he shook his head looking over to the goddess who leaned against the railings of the ship looking down at the waters below. Only time would press his decision now and that he didn't have much left of.

Within the confines of her cabin, Jaqueline wondered what choice Joseph would make once they reached Tortuga. She mused about who she might come in contact with on the island. Hopefully she wouldn't run into Dawn again. Or, if she did, that Dawn wouldn't be in the mood to attempt to murder her right then.

Reaching to his shirt Joesph pulled the key out and looked at it wondering what pray tell it went to. Sighing a bit to himself he mulled over the things it could be to and toyed with idea's of massive riches he could attain with it. "If I have a ship" he muttered to himself with a bit of a sigh looking around before heading up to the crows nest. It was a place he enjoyed mainly due to the fact it put him away from everyone else and he could think while there. He needed time to think as well. To plan how things would work if he left the ship or if he was someway able to change there heading towards a direction he could work with better.

The next morning, when Jaqueline emerged from her cabin, she saw Calypso staring intently at something on the horizon. "Milady?" Jaqueline said softly. The Goddess turned to her. "We are nearing La Isle de Tortuga," she said, pointing in the direction she'd been staring. Jaqueline followed the line of her arm, seeing a shadow resting on the edge of the water. How come no one had given the call? "Oi!" she yelled up to the crow's nest. "What, are ya asleep up there? We're approachin' land, an' I ain't heard the signal!"

Standing in the crow's nest Joesph hung over somewhat his elbow on the wood helping to support his head that was rested in his hand. How long had he been like that since he woke up during the night and found himself unable to fall asleep. He was in a world of his own evident as Jaqueline's calls hadn't even reached his ears. He simply stared ahead blankly into the sea his mind still trying to mull over exactly what he should do when it came to Tortuga.

Giving up finally after several hours like that his arm was mostly asleep from the elbow up. It seemed he had cut off a good deal of the circulation to it from his position as he looked around. Shaking the cloud from his mind Joesph looked towards the horizon remembering his job as he saw the speck of land in the distance. "Cap'n land ah-" he started before looking down seeing her looking up at him. Had he been that zoned out that she already knew about it he wondered as he stared down at the woman.

Jaqueline met Joseph's gaze dead on. "Harding! What're ya doin' sleepin' atcher post?" she snapped, her voice carrying clearly to to crow's nest. "Ya may not be stayin' with us much longer, but ya still gotta pay attention ta yer job while yer on my ship!"

That answered his question with stark preciseness. "Roger" he called down before pulling himself back up fully into the crow's nest to get out of her sight. It seemed when ever she found him he was not in a very elegant position in some way or another. It didn't matter for the time tho Tortuga was in sight as he looked the island coming better into view as they moved across the water. The morning air was crisp with a slight chill but the sun was quickly burning off that chill and would likely be gone by the time they made port.

"All hands to positions!" Jaqueline turned and strode out about the deck, barking orders. "Ready ta dock! Fly the colors!" Within less than an hour, they'd docked, and all but four members of the crew headed down the gangplank and into the hubbub of Tortuga.
