With everyone who had aided in the battle severely exhausted it took a few days for things to start getting back to normal at the castle. It was eventually revealed by Yuu and Nene that Kotone was a younger cousin of theirs on their mother's side. And neither of them had known she was missing. The old man was able to fill in the remaining gaps by explaining how he had happened upon Kotone one day while he was out prospecting for more potential young digimon hunters and since she was getting along well with Luminamon he had given her a Xros Loader to allow them to become partners. That all seemed fine until one day when the mysterious old man discovered that Shademon, who had been a subordinate of Dark Knightmon, had managed to emerge into the human world.

Shademon kidnapped Kotone and Luminamon, assimilating them into his body, and then retreated back to the digital world. The mysterious old man contacted Banchou Leomon to alert him to the situation and it was eventually decided between them that they would hold a tournament to get as many children partnered with digimon to come to the digital world as possible without drawing suspicion from Shademon and without stirring any unnecessary panic among the digimon hunters. The old man hadn't known the full extent of Shademon's plans, but since Shademon had served under the traitorous Dark Knightmon the old man assumed the worst and thought that Shademon would most likely try to increase his power so that he could get at Quartzmon's digitama to make himself unstoppable.

The mysterious old man could not account for the actions of Blaze's partner in becoming Celestial Chaosmon. That had been largely unanticipated.

*~*~*~*~*

Once Crystal got back on her feet from resting off her fatigue she took off on Lightningmon to inspect the dimensional divide just to be sure that all of the separate rifts that had been opened by Zeed Millenniumon's power had been properly and fully closed. The rift that had been closed by Roveth was only the one that had connected the digital world to the Dark Area, the World of Darkness, the human world, and the other iterations of the digital world. As it turned out, all those external pathways had been left wide open and it took several hours of meticulous cross examination to get them all closed and properly aligned again. And, as a consequence of allowing those rifts to remain open during those few days Crystal had spent recovering after the battle was over, time had been temporarily synchronized across all of the connected dimensions right up until she had severed the connections.

Since the Dark Area was just another region of the digital world that meant that any time that had passed since the appearance of Shade Chaos Millenniumon had been synchronized with the human world as well. It was definitely going to be tough explaining that one to the parents of some of the other hunters once they all made it back home after the tournament.

Anyway, once Crystal had the dimensional divide back in proper alignment she returned to the castle. With the tournament just a few days away most of the heroes from across the dimensions had been provided with their own living accommodations close to the Coliseum. In fact, the only one still at the castle who wasn't a digimon hunter was the Legendary Tamer, Ryo Akiyama, who had been waiting for a chance to yell at Roveth for trying to trap Moon=Millenniumon in the World of Darkness.

for Jake, he ran himself ragged during the resting period, merely to help Crystal or others out, though he also kept an eye out on Shiro awakening so he could talk in private about that crazy form he took, either way he was tired, but a good day's rest for him would be easy before the tournament so no worries there. in the case of his Digimon, he also got them ready in their own way for that, but he didn't run them into the ground like he had when he was training with Roveth during the time Shiro had disappeared and all after Crystal had returned with the more mature looking Zapmon.

Roveth meanwhile was not actually hiding, he was resting up, and it didn't take long for him to show back up, but he still looked serious compared to his usual b*****d-ness and all, he had already been punted around by Jake and Lucia both (and Gene though his was weak before he passed out again.) about that one stupidity moment, and knew he probably had to take his lumps from others, so he had headed out to merely rest by the lake, and let his smaller digimon play there to let them rest, in the case of his main fighters he also had them relaxing expressly and all, most of all Arkadimon and Grimmon.

speaking of the Flamedramon, it took Gene three days to recover from the burnout, due to the fact of having had so much frigging power and then expending it all at once kinda burnt him out, a 'power overcharge' type thing, one of the reasons he kicked Roveth, the biggest reason of course was the one everyone else was punting him for: his stupidity with the rift. in either case once he was back up and about, he stuck to relaxing in human form and playing with some of Jake's smaller digimon, as well as Shiro's once they got out of his room, even going so far as helping V-Mon and the Chibimonz in getting them a bit more pumped up so they could be usable for any Xros'es Shiro might have in mind for the tournament.

Shiro himself, took nearly the entire time before the tournament to recover, if not because of the slow healing cuts, but because of his fluctuating energies, though Youki was actually strangely not as fluctuating, but his other ones were, which had his female companions hoarding him away in a room to keep him safe, content, and well immobile to be a snuggle-bear for them, most especially the Renamonz for sure. the rest taking turns when they could also brought him food and everything, as well as filled him in. he hadn't heard about Roveth's stupidity, but he had heard from Jake about his antics as Anti-Spiraldramon, which left the poor Kitsune-hanyou going 'WTF' at his own antics, and then eventually chalked it up to the evolution happening not because of anger, but pure madness instead, that things didn't go pear-shaped.

Blaze was only out for a full day, which all things considered, was surprisingly... unsurprising. It wasn't even odd that the first thing he did was eat. And honestly, he could already pack it away with the best of them. But after an hour, it was starting to get a little ridiculous. He had out paced even Big Mamemon, and showed no signs of slowing. Eventually the stares won out over his appetite.

"What? You act like you've never seen a guy eat." Blaze grumbled through a mouthful of food.

"It's just... weird," Pandamon pointed out. "But at least you're feeling better, right?"

"Well my headache is gone, but even after all this food, my mouth still tastes like pixels."

**********

Blaze didn't take too well to the news about Omekamon though, and just stared glumly at the Digitama. "We are so getting fired from our delivery job." But that really just sounded like an excuse to vent.

**********

A few days later, Blaze was looking worse instead of better. Ancient Wisemon had taken to shadowing Blaze, and was currently helping him figure out why he was in such poor health. It was of the utmost scientific importance to Ancient Wisemon.

"Tell me, do you still taste anything odd? Seen anything strange? I'm very keen to know."

"Well, I don't really know about that, I was a bit loopy that first day. Although... I have had these nightmares about icy cold hands," Blaze said with a shiver.

"I see. Well I'll be sure keep that in mind. Can't have you waking up. With this information, I'm sure you'll be sleeping soundly tonight." Ancient Wisemon added, "I think I've gotten almost all the preliminary research done. I'll move into the testing phase next."

Blaze got another chill going up his spine.

"Interesting response, this may require further study."

Just then, the cardboard Digitama hatched. A cardboard head immediately started hopping around shouting, "Bako! Bako!" It was a tiny little Bakomon... head. All Blaze could think was *Where's the rest of him?*

Shiro had sighed once he was out and about again, rubbing the back of his head a bit before sitting down outside, watching Jake and Roveth work in warm-up exercises as he chuckled, Kudamon currently lounging around his neck when Tactimon had appeared, and looked aside as if wondering about something, though Shiro could tell, namely the fact he felt a faint trace of Lilithmon's aura in the area, as well as that of the kooky Old Man that had a suspicious Aura of Bagramon, he said nothing about it as he sat on the stairs a bit and talked with Gabumon, Guilmon, Patamon, and Tsukaimon, since they were his main partners aside from the Legendary Spirits about the tournament, as well as what they should do once it's over, go back to hunting, or leave that be for the others and simply helped when he wasn't looking in the Digital World for info about Graildramon. either way he was sufficiently distracted and all.

Gene eventually was up and about more particularly staying in human form and conversing with the various digimon to catch up on things and other stuff since he had heard from the grapevine and Koushirou that they had left for another iteration of the digital world. granted, things were calm and quiet in Koushirou's world so they weren't needed, plus, he guessed it felt.. right for Crystal to be here, Shiro he wasn't too sure, but he sure seemed to be acclimating well. as for Roveth and Jake? they were just enjoying the moment, his guess.

as mentioned when shiro watched them, Jake and Roveth were doing warmups with their digimon teams, and even a good light spar between the two of them as Warriormon and Shikimon as the clangs of blades could be heard, no explosions or full attacks used between them just yet, Lucia and GigaSeadramon were taking on Gaioumon and Examon, clangs, minor explosions, and so on going there, the smaller digimon were just doing small stuff to keep them loose and ready to help, any other big artillery from Jake was currently staying in the Xros Loader to rest since they didn't need to be used.

Everyone was a little bit wary of Ancient Wisemon, partly because of his known history with Shademon, but mainly because the idea of getting caught up in his experiments creeped them out. Unlike his more benign counterpart, Wisemon, this Ancient Wisemon seemed to lack any sense of personal boundaries or compassion. He was only interested in pure science. It was rather fortunate for everyone else that presently his primary focus was on Blaze, although there was no telling how long that was going to last with a subject as interesting and unstable as Shiro occupying the same relative vicinity.

Although she was concerned about Blaze's ordeal with Chaosmon, Crystal was particularly wary of Ancient Wisemon and actively kept her distance. Instead of putting any of her digimon through any last minute training she instead focused on training Tagiru while mentally preparing herself for the tournament. Most of her digimon were still exhausted from battling it out with Shade Chaos Millenniumon, Shade Millenniumon, Celestial Chaosmon, and finally Zeed Millenniumon. The rest of them were out and about, some of them playing while some of them sparred with each other. Gomamon liked to swim around in the various lakes mingling with some of the local aquatic digimon hidden in the depths. Monodramon and Ryuudamon took it in turns sparring against Chibi Hackmon as he demonstrated time and again that he was very formidable despite his inexperience. Then again, he had been reconfigured from Imperial Destroyermon and also loaded the data of the dreaded Zeed Millenniumon. There was certainly more to him than there appeared. Labramon kept an eye on Choromon, Petitmon, Yukimi Botamon, Chapmon, Kapurimon, the Tokomonz, and Wanyamon while they were out playing. Crystal decided to incorporate the Mokumonz into her obstacle course to give it an element of unpredictability as they could continuously alter their smoky bodies into various shapes and sizes to mess with Tagiru.

Once Shiro was back on his feet Crystal wanted to teach him some of the basics of wielding Tessaiga, particularly how to channel his youki through it so that he would have some measure of control over it. As such, she took some time to practice with her own collection of swords so she wouldn't be too rusty handling Shiro's copy of Tessaiga. Everyone else was busy trying to decide how they would divide themselves into teams for the tournament or entertaining the slew of visiting digimon that would appear at the castle with questions and concerns about the ominous digimon that had eclipsed the sun during the battle. It was natural that digimon not involved in the battle would be worried by it and it was Shoutmon's responsibility to assure them all that the threat had been neutralized and that the crisis had been averted.

Blaze was asking everyone that he knew to partner up with him for the tournament (or at least those that didn't usually glare at him on sight). Crystal was the first surprise, she said she already had some idea of who to team up woth, and it did not include Blaze. Taiki was a little less blunt about it, but it amounted to the same thing. Blaze was sure Ryouma would say yes, and that Ren would team up with whoever Ryouma did.

They both gave each other a funny look, and then grinned menacingly at Blaze. "Uh... guys?" They grabbed Blaze and dragged him off.

"One... Two..."
"Heave... Ho!"
And Blaze was sputtering in the lake.
Ryouma called, "We'll forgive you for chasing digimon into us..."
"But we're not teaming up with you, just in case we get to fight you!" Yelled Ren.

A few minutes of sputting and shivering later, Blaze had dried off and warmed back up. Tagiru was running around, trying to get a team too, and failing just about as hard as Blaze. This gave Blaze an idea, "I'm going to regret this... Hey, TA...GI...RU!!! Get over here! I got a proposition for yah!"

After a minute of explaining the already desperate grouping situation, Blaze convinced Tagiru to ask his friend Hideaki to join in their and form a team.

**********

Meanwhile, now that he wasn't too busy stalking Blaze every moment (waking or otherwise), something had caught Ancient Wisemon's eye. "Another strange digital lifeform." Ancient Wisemon thought to himself. He was behing him in the blink of an eye. Cold hands on his chest as a way of introduction, Ancient Wisemon asked, "You are called Shiro, correct? Oh how interesting you data is, I can't wait to take a peek!"

of course, at the time Jake and Roveth had pretty much agreed to be a team together, and had tried to ask Shiro to join them, but got declined saying "nothing against that kind of pairing, but i honestly want to not tempt fate into getting ticked off at Yami-no-ahou mid battle as an ally." he would respond, before they left to find someone else for their third, Shiro himself was actually keeping himself neutral, though he did laugh when he saw Ren and Ryouma actually toss blaze right into the lake as their answer, though he suddenly went pale when he felt AncientWisemon's presence nearby, and the hands on his chest were immediately now clutching at thin air with Shiro clutching at the nearest pillar he could with his claws "oh hell no! i am -NOT- in the mood to be dissected thank you!" of course, while he was hyperventilating physically, within his Reality marble a new 'ally' of sorts had managed to make themselves seen by the others, a man in a tattered and stitched together lab coat, pants, and turtleneck sweater. his body also had stitches on it with his amberish-green eyes looking about in an almost lackadaisical manner, though two of the three people in the marble paled seeing him, namely Soul and Black Star "Yare yare.. it seems i found our wayward students and heroes." he said, reaching up while he had been smoking a cigarette, he did turn something that looked like a screw or bolt on his head with a mild smile "this is an interesting place to be within a soul.. i wonder if i can dissect the person?" he thought contemplatively. meanwhile outside Shiro just had an even worse chill go down his spine, though he hadn't noticed the various stitch-like tattoos along his skin or the large bolt now in his own head ".... someone just walked over my grave again... i really need to make myself scarce..."

Jake and Roveth meanwhile had been looking around for a decent partner to work with, having asked Taiki, Yuu, and Zenjirou with reasonably lack of success, so they had also asked crystal, with those same negative results, they began wondering who they could ask to team up with, they immediately ruled Blaze out due to Roveth would want to kill Blaze, Ren and Ryouma were out since no doubt they wanted to team together, they -both- disliked Tagiru, and they didn't know much on any others except Nene, Akari, and Kiriha, but they simply waited at the moment to see who they would want to team with before deciding to ask one of those three.

Gene meanwhile had been watching from his room with a chuckle as he saw all the mess going on, though he grinned also seeing Blaze get dunked for some reason by Ren and Ryouma (he didn't hear why due to being high up in the castle), though he did wonder if his job was truely done now, and if it was, could he go back to the universe he had came from. he doubted it, but he also doubted his job was done, given things normally weren't that easy, especially if Omegamon of all people asked to bring you somewhere.
PostPosted: Sun Apr 07, 2013 7:48 pm
It was eventually decided that Taiki would be teaming up with Yuu and Zenjirou so that Kiriha and Tagiru would have equal opportunity to face him during the tournament rather than teaming up with him themselves. Tagiru, having failed to convince anyone else to team up with him for the tournament, was very easily convinced to team up with Blaze and was also thrilled to learn that Hideaki had, in fact, made his own way to the digital world and would be more than happy to join up with them for the tournament, although he probably wouldn't be all that much use on the battlefield. Crystal had more than enough options for who she might team up with for the tournament, but in the end she had chosen to ask Nene and Akari to team up with her since she knew very well that neither of them had particularly high stakes in the tournament meaning there would be no hard feelings if they lost. That suited Crystal just fine since her main reason for entering the tournament was to further Tagiru's training, not that she'd mind it at all if she won. There just wasn't anyone she especially wanted to beat in the process.

Kiriha eventually selected Jake and Roveth to be his teammates for the tournament since, apart from wanting to test himself against Taiki, he was also mildly interested in taking a shot at Shiro. And that would leave Shiro with no alternative but to grab Ren and Ryouma for his own team. Word from the Colosseum was that another group of hunters had already formed a team for the tournament so that would make the number of teams even.

Crystal's aimless wanderings during sword training brought her into the forest beyond the castle where she found an exhausted pair of Gaomon and Kokabuterimon collapsed and tangled in vines of a dozen or so Alraumonz that were steadily draining their strength away. Crystal sicced Gururumon on the Alraumonz to blast them all with his Chaos Fire so she could capture them and get them off of the poor Gaomon and Kokabuterimon. Once the pair had recovered they explained that they had been headed for the castle like so many other digimon desperate to eliminate their fears of the battle that had been staged in the sky when they were set upon by the Alraumonz and unwittingly became their prey. Both digimon were exceptionally grateful to Crystal for being there to find them and aiding in their rescue. She agreed to escort them the rest of the way to the castle since she should be heading back there anyway.

So, while those two digimon went to meet with Shoutmon to ease their fears, Crystal found Shiro. "Bloody hell, who the heck did you let get inside your head this time?"

Jake and Roveth both agreed to joining Kiriha rather easily, due to being one of the two strongest generals in the area outside of Taiki and Crystal, and while they wanted to win in their own ways, they were curious more on -why- Banchou Leomon had agreed to the tournament still going on even if Shademon's threat was dealt with. of course, they had also in a way teased and ribbed Shiro about being with Ren and Ryouma, but Shiro of course blew them off with a mere "laugh it up for now... but i wonder if dissecting you while you sleep will yield me a way to change that attitude." he said calmly, twisting on the bolt on his head without even thinking, a reflex maneuver if anything was mentioned.

Shiro himself after that had been talking with Ren and Ryouma, in various ways to help aid their teamwork and all while he heard the exclamations from Crystal, he lightly let off a bit of a black steam haze from his mouth in an anime-ish sigh, before glancing over to her "someone who apparently taught the others you met when we found our origin, an.. odd guy, though i wouldn't pique his interest if i were you.. he's like AncientWisemon." of course, he began turning the bolt on his head again before tracing a wheely-chair and such to sit in lightly "and for Everyone's information.. i do not 'let' people into my reality marble, not on purpose at least." he calmly said while also glancing about to make sure AncientWisemon wasn't in the area, of course, he was paranoid now due to the fact he had been witness to the ancient digimon of steel's capabilities, and he was -not- going to let himself be poked and prodded on, bad enough he had a freaking psychopath scientist in his head...
PostPosted: Sun Apr 07, 2013 8:52 pm
"Oh, so this is where you ran off to!" Cold, clammy hands close in, as if their owner was always there just behind Shiro. "Don't worry though, I never lose track of my research," said Ancient Wisemon.

"Like earlier, when I observed you in your natural surroundings. What a refreshing point of view you had! The very idea that there's some physical component that can adjust attitude is intriguing. I insist, I must test your theory out post-haste." Ancient Wisemon paused for a moment.

"Was there any scientific reason it must be done on the sleeping though...? Hmm, I suppose as long as the subject can't move... it should have the same result... yes! Shiro-san, I think this will be a most productive relationship!"

"That's the problem," Crystal sighed while eying the loose bolt in Shiro's head. "You never close the back door and it's like you can't control your own corridors of consciousness even though they're inside your own head. Honestly, it looks like whoever this guy is, he could take over without you even putting up a fight if you aren't careful. At least those others aren't so invasive as to be causing odd physical abnormalities like this new one." She propped her arms up behind her head and started to walk away from Shiro. "It's really too bad because if you were feeling up to it, I was thinking I might teach you how to channel your youki to use some of Tessaiga's special techniques, but it looks like I should just let you try to get a handle on this new voice you've got running around inside your reality marble. He doesn't seem particularly malicious, just very intrusive. You need to assert yourself so you don't get buried under all that mental pressure."

"Ryuudamon Shinka! Ginryuumon!" Ginryuumon peered down at Chibi Hackmon. "Well, if you're such a tough little guy, then let's see how you like this!" The samurai-style draconic quadruped spun in place, swinging his tail in a whip-like motion at Chibi Hackmon. Entirely unfazed, Chibi Hackmon caught hold of the fuzzy tufts sticking out from the tip of Ginryuumon's armored tail and held it fast so that on the rebound he was able to yank on Ginryuumon's tail with all his strength to use his own momentum to fling him onto his back.

"Geez, just what kind of a digimon is this Chibi Hackmon anyway?" Monodramon sweatdropped hard as he watched the entire spectacle.

"His strength is unreal," Ginryuumon answered in a mild daze from his recent collision with the ground. "You want to take another turn with him?"

"No thanks," Monodramon declined the offer. "I think I've seen enough."

Shiro of course immediately jumped away and with deft reflexes and speed, quickly hid behind Crystal away from Ancient Wisemon shivering "how many times do i have to say -go away-? i want nothing to do with psychopath scientists after Daemon's crap?!" he exclaimed, before calming a bit, and -trying- his best to ignore AncientWisemon, though that was hard given all the times he keeps trying to get at his poor core, he didn't need -worse- done to him on it! either way he responded to crystal while he could "actually, i -did- have it closed for quite a while Crystal, it wasn't until the whole Shademon mess that this started, so you can blame him for breaking the door down. as for my looks? it's not him trying to assert himself in me, it's more his passive power, even when suppressed to a minimum is so pervasive it's almost like Youki. i'll probably work hard on getting it down so i can at least get rid of the bolt." he said while remembering the mention of Tessaiga when she was talking "Tessaiga training? i take it you mean the attacks that needed Youki for, given at the time we couldn't get me working on the Wind Scar, and the Kaze no Kizu and Bakuryuuha?" he smiled, seeming eager to learn while they had time "while we're on things of possible needing to be done... we should probably get some Monitamonz each, so we can have contact with the others, Nene especially given after this she'll be back in Hong Kong with her Idol Career."

of course, Jake and Roveth was both taking it easy on personal training, as well as their digimon, though they did work with Kiriha in any teamwork exercises the boy wanted, to make sure they didn't get in each other's way, and knew how to handle their own strengths and weaknesses. truthfully Shiro should be doing the same, in their eyes, but they knew he was probably not going to be able to even sleep much if AncientWisemon was currently hounding him, Jake -was- secretly glad he had kept himself wisely out of his sights, and seeming normal enough.

Gene of course stayed in the castle, still resting up, and even helping Shoutmon ease the panic about the Shademon incidents being dealt with and all. he was able to be about, as long as he didn't do anything too strenuous, so that's what he was doing, continuing to rest, get some food, and help Shouto at the moment.

It was exceptionally difficult to ignore Ancient Wisemon. There was so much that was simply wrong about him. Taken at face value, Ancient Wisemon had the appearance of a large ornate mirror adorned with an equally ornate hooded robe with glowing orbs where the eyes should be. There were no visible limbs to speak of making his sleeves noticeably empty. While this serves to make his movements infinitely flexible as he wasn't constrained by the limitations imposed by having a physical body it also served as a constant reminder of just how alien and abstract his presence was to the more conventional lifeforms he was experimenting on. It was downright creepy. And unsettling. And there was no real way to get away from him because he could move without moving and could suddenly be anywhere instantaneously through sheer force of will, if that's what you wanted to call it. Ancient Wisemon was probably the most enigmatic being Crystal had ever encountered in all of her many years exploring the numerous incarnations of the digital world. Moreover, this Ancient Wisemon clearly wasn't the same as the Ancient Wisemon that had become revered as one of the Warrior Ten in his home dimension. This Ancient Wisemon had, by assisting Shademon, nearly caused a second collapse of this universe's digital world with the awakening of Zeed Millenniumon. His total disregard for personal boundaries and his total jack of morality made being in close proximity to this Ancient Wisemon all the more disturbing.

Crystal became increasingly tense in proximity to Ancient Wisemon, in part because he kept appearing and disappearing behind Shiro so-as not to let him get away. Even when Shiro thought he was getting away, he would still sense that Ancient Wisemon's hands had never lifted away from his flesh. And the fact that Ancient Wisemon lacked actual hands with which to convey this sensation just made the whole situation even more eerie. It was like running from a relentless ghost.

Still, Crystal tried to concentrate on the reason she had come to fetch Shiro, although beforehand she hadn't known about the fact that Ancient Wisemon had already switched targets meaning he must have lost interest in Blaze already when presented with the option of studying Shiro.

"Kaze no Kizu is Tessaiga's most basic technique and you'll have to master that before you can utilize the Bakuryuuha," Crystal explained. "It will also be useful to know about the different forms of Tessaiga, such as Akai Tessaiga with the crimson blade that can cut through any youkai barrier and Ryuurin no Tessaiga with the blade covered in dragon scales so you'll know how to properly cut through a youkai's youketsu instead of accidentally absorbing too much youki into the blade and cracking it like Inuyasha did. Kuroi Tessaiga with the black blade will enable you to use Meidou Zangetsuha, but we'll probably steer away from that one for now since I don't want to wind up accidentally killing anyone who might get in the way. And, of course, you already know about Diamond Tessaiga, but in order for you to fully utilize the Kongousouha you'll first have to master the Kaze no Kizu since that's what actually launches the diamond spears at enemy youkai."

"Of course, you won't find much use for these techniques in this era since Tessaiga is a specialized blade with techniques designed for slaying youkai," Crystal added afterward. "But it'll be good to know them so that you'll be ready the next time we spend any quality time in the Feudal era."

In the days leading up to the tournament Crystal tried to teach Shiro everything she knew about wielding Tessaiga. After meeting with Shoutmon, the Gaomon and Kokabuterimon that Crystal had rescued from the Alraumonz in the forest both requested to join her team so naturally she welcomed them. Then, while traveling to the Monitamon Village to recruit a few for her team along with Shiro, she somehow ended up having to hunt a trio of Wormmonz when she and Shiro accidentally got tangled up in their Sticky Net. Once they reached the village Crystal selected a trio of metallic silver colored Monitamonz to join her team while Shiro was picking out an assortment for himself. Once that was taken care of it was time to return to the golden coliseum for the tournament.

(this is a for the hell of it post, since i want to.)

Shiro had easily taken the trip as a much needed reprieve from the craziness that was AncientWisemon, as the Hanyou cworked on various things, training with his Digimon in tactics, Xroses, so on, however he also had his misadventures. during the wormmon incident he also caught a few of them, though he reminded himself to not utilize the full capabilities of such a Xros leading to full Jogress form and all, while he also learned about the tessaiga, granted, he was no slouch ofr a learning curve, he could at the moment only utilize the Kaze no Kizu with prepared time to use a mix of his Youki, Soul Wavelength, and digital energy to create the nexus needed to be seen by his eyes to unleash the Wind Scar. it also led to Shiro gaining a trio of Purple Monitamonz, as well as a Musyamon due to a certain samurai acting up once more like he had done back when the Digital world was fractured. granted, Shiro also wortked with the Legendary Spirits as well, relearning their capabilities to a more proper level, which unlocked tiers of heightened mastery for each element once things got going, it also allowed Shiro to utilize the spirits power in his swords, by calling 'Trace Infusion', he could infuse the power of the legendary spirits into the blades, to add further damage. granted, it also tired him out a lot faster. his hand to hand combat prowess had also reached a decent plateau in by utilizing tracing to sometimes bring out bladed knuckle-dusters, so on, and also allowed Shiro to work on a technique that was a signature of his newest tenant, Stein. which was to alter one's soul Wavelength, and actualize it into an attack form. with how powerful shiro was and lack f experience, he had managed to get basic movements down and create the needed sparks, but he couln't actively fight in that style seamlessly just yet. it did however help him adjust properly to utilizing the spirit weapons within him however, and unlock the first tier of their specialty attacks.

once it came time for the tournament, Shiro would return albeit reluctantly with Crystal to the collesium, not reluctant about the tournament, but more reluctant about being anywhere near AncientWisemon's possible vantage point. either way, he did sidle up with Ren and Ryouma as mentioned, in order to work out with them possible strategies to go by facing the various teams participating and all, especially when divulging information about Yami-no-ahou and Jake's current lineup.
