So a Manetric Hybrid and his bug fights a pissed off bug...

Tristen went wide-eyed and braced himself as the spider suddenly shot towards the Manetric hybrid with great force. Despite getting his guard up, the impact was relatively harsh, knocking Tristen well off his feet. “Ow…” Tristen said. That was going to be tender for a little bit. Tristen pushed himself back up off the ground. “Wimpod, one more for the road, okay? Use Struggle Bug!”

The Wimpod effectively triple-taked between what just transpired over the past five to seven seconds, now dealing with a bug that was particularly brazen. Trying to work up some manner of courage, the Wimpod started to scurry as best as it could, going to pounce on the spider in question to struggle it into the ground.

Another day down the Path of Legends

While not part of the Naranja House herself, Freth found herself making her way to Mrs. Raifort’s class room once again. As soon as she crossed the threshold to the class room, her Hisuan Sneasel riding piggyback on her shoulders, snoring softly with its head resting on top of Freth’s. Freth tosses an empty paper cup into a nearby garbage can…what all that remained of a 3rd cup of coffee, black. After trying to tend to her Pokémon after dealing with the next thing to a Kaiju sized weed and stone crab, rest didn’t really come easy or quickly the following night. Getting her Pokémon ready to go for the next big day the next morning was also taxing, mainly with all that she went through the day before. It really didn’t occur to her just how insane that actually was yesterday until she actually sat down and processed it all. She’d be lying if after that first day she said she wouldn’t be worried, but between dealing with Pokémon she had no knowledge of and her lack of skill in her newfound hybrid self, it was going to be a bit daunting. Hopefully Raifort would have inspiring news today.

Aile walked into the classroom with her Paldean Wooper by her side, the Pokemon chirping cheerily as its trainer grabbed a desk and slid her backpack onto it. She had a fairly busy day after the fight with the giant Klawf. She distributed samples of the Herba Mystica to those who wanted them, holding some back to then take back to HQ and have it analyzed, also grabbing herself a shiny new Key Stone while she was back there. Considering this was the first chance she had to go back while at the academy where she had a good reason, so she was going to take advantage of it. She’d get her Pokémon team resituated before returning via Claydol, with Aile winding down afterwards and falling asleep. Maybe not the best of sleep, though, as she had some dreams of tiny more Shadow Nincada appearing more often out of the shards of her artifact. Yeah, that was still going to bother her. Seriously, how in the nine Hells did a tiny little Nincada hide itself in her staff? When did it get in there? There was one thought… But she couldn’t act on it now. They were in the wrong region for that anyways… At least if it was when she thought it was, a time when the damned artifact was whole. Still.

Either way, it wasn’t something she should be putting all of her brain power towards, especially if they had more news coming their way about the next target. Aile would sit down on the chair and take a tall can out of one of the side pockets, also pulling out an Oran Berry to give the Wooper before cracking open the can. Sweet caffeinated nectar…

[The day after the defeat of the Stony Cliff Titan.]

Odd awakened in the morning with very little on his mind. Yesterday had been interesting to say the least but his body certainly wasn’t feeling it like certain others probably were. One of the advantages of his particular channeling path. He knew that someday he would likely end up in a position similar to Amaya but so long as he had a body, he intended to make use of it. The extremely taxing task of taking on that crab, Klawf it had been called, was certainly exhausting mentally but he felt sure his classmates and teammates alike were feeling it worse this morning. The first thought to truly cross his mind was to wonder what Lykas was up to this morning. It had been ages since he’d woken up in the morning to not know where his boyfriend, now fiancé, was.

Dressing for the day, he found himself reaching for his usual sleeveless overcoat he wore in place of the traditional vestments when he remembered the painfully orange-hued school uniform he was supposed to wear when attending classes. Grimacing slightly at the color as he was sure most people did, he dressed in the spring “spring” uniform he’d been issued, donning the pants and short-sleeved shirt, he pulled on his usual socks and shoes, having learned those weren’t regulated by the academy’s uniform standards. Ensuring he had a few of his channeling partners on him and varying his team a bit from there, he headed off to Raifort’s classroom intent to learn what the plan was for today. He was certain it would involve another titan-sized battle if those herba mystica they were supposed to be investigating were what made Klawf so big.

Upon arriving at the classroom, he offered a small wave in greeting to whomever had beaten him to class, crimson eyes roaming around the room to see who was here already. It looked like only Freth had made it ahead of him.
“Morning. Ready for another fun-filled day of violating student safety standards?” He asked, though he was sure to keep quiet enough that Raifort wouldn’t hear exactly what he’d said.

Tsuki was there in Mrs. Raifort’s class, bright and early yet again with a coffee filled thermos in one hand and a Magby playing some kind of game on his phone on his lap. Unlike the last few days though, he did seem less wound up than he had been. His talk with Sol the day prior had been pretty productive! He had finally gotten ahold of an admin and explained that he had been a member of Snagem a while back, but his parents getting him arrested had thrown a whole wrench into his life back then. Seriously. If they let ten year olds run around the world without a chaperone, it seemed kind of ridiculous that they could just revoke that freedom on a whim.

Now, replacing one of his school gloves with a brand new fancy lookin’ SNAG Machine, Tsuki felt less stressed. Which was weird because he hadn’t really noticed how stressed he had been for so long! Even if he wasn’t going to bounce from Paldea at the moment, knowing that he could take a Claydol taxi out of the region the moment he wanted to made him felt liberated in a way he hadn’t felt in a while. Oh but the moment his parents found out, Tsuki was slapping that button so fast. He had even practiced for a good part of the night to see how long it took him to dial up that on his SNAG.

Moving on though, Tsuki was looking forwards to paying more attention to the Herba Mystica and the Titans that came out of them being fed to Pokemon. Opening up his notebook, he skimmed down his notes. ‘Mysterious plants that made Pokemon BIG’ was at the top of the paper. Moreover, it also empowered those who consumed it, turning them into some kind of power battery! Like that Arboliva that had been leeching off of the Klawf. He considered the Applin he had captured yesterday too that had been eating that same Arboliva’s olives. Clearly it had no phenomenal power, but it was pretty big! He supposed only time would tell. Until he managed to evolve it, it was only going to be using Withdraw and Astonish.

The Tarountula would be pounced upon by the struggling Wimpod, squealing and squirming as it took damage from the opposing bug's Struggle Bug. Once it was able to slip out of Wimpod's grasps it scurried backwards and prepared itself for further battle. With a hiss it began to unravel some of its ball of silk as it shot some of it at Wimpod, hoping to in case it in its webbing as it used String Shot.

"You okay Tristen!?" Fela asked Tristen after running up to him to check up on the boy. It was then that she noticed Wimpod's sticky situation and looked towards Scatterbug who had followed after her. "Scatterbug, you gotta help your friend! Stun Spore!" She implored the bug.

Looking to the Tarountula then to Wimpod and back the Scatterbug would seem unsure of itself. It would then turn to look at Fela and then the slightly sore Tristen then back to Tartountula with newfound determination. Not only did this spider hurt its fellow insect friend but also the friend of his buggy friend! Enough was enough for Scatterbug!

"Scatter!" Scatterbug cried as it moved to copy Tarountula. Instead of using Stun Spore it shot its own String Shot at the overhead branch and after swinging backwards it would gain some speed and momentum by executing a Tackle attack in mid swing, sending itself colliding into the Tarountula, ending its encasing of Wimpod and sending them both rolling, Scatterbug getting up first while Tarountula was slightly more dazed, blindsided by its move being turned against it.

"I'm good, I'm good!" Tristen said. He honestly been hit harder than that at one time. In one case, still got the scar for around his shoulder that didn't really fully fade away on evolution. "I guess I really upset it. Wimpod! Can you-" As he looked back over, seeing the Wimpod ensnared in the silk, nothing else started to matter. At this point, Wimpod's will completely snapped. Before Tristen's and Fela's eyes, Wimpod shook about then started to glow completely red...the red that was the Pokeball laser that recalled it back to its ball. "Wait...what? Wait! Wimpod! Don't! Hey, Wimpod! Oh, he actually did it again! Wimpod com-" Before Tristen knew it, another ball on the belt flashed open, making Tristen jump in surprise. Before Fela and Tristen came another one of Tristen's Pokemon...

"Arrrro?"

"Dragonite!?" Tristen exclaimed, caught off guard over the development. Wimpod, essentially, wimped out to get behind a stronger Pokemon ally that could fight. Tristen was staring in disbelief at what transpired...but then, a realization. Tristen veered his eyes to Fela, feeling like he was exposed now. If she wasn't part of that initial class, then this surely was going to raise a whole hell of a lot of questions as to how in the world Tristen had a powerful dragon like that in tow. "Uhhhh..." Of all the times...

Fela didn't react too much to Wimpod fleeing, more confused than anything as she watched the little critter retreat back into its ball. It was only when the next flash of light went off did Fela's eyes grow big as she stared in awe of the towering Dragonite that replaced Wimpod.

"W-what is that!?" Fela exclaimed, pointing at the orange dragon. While Dragonite wasn't the most menacing dragon it did have the aura and height of one, a goofy little draconid that demanded attention by the very nature of its presence.

Tarountula and Scatterbug would have their buggy senses tripped by the sudden powerful presence, the two freezing suddenly and turning to look at the newly appeared Dragonite. Immediately the Tarountula would decide this fight was no longer worth and immediately fled into some tall grass. Scatterbug attempted to do the same but went in an opposite direction, Fela quick on her feet enough to recall the Pokemon before it got too far.

[Wimpod earns 1 Evo Point.]

With Scatterbug secured she felt most relaxed to question what this Pokemon was further. "Tristen...what happened? Is this your Pokemon?" She asked, staring up at the imposing creature.

"Uh, yeah...I think there is more to Wimpod's running away into the Pokeball than I thought...I never seen that happen before. Um..sorry for the sudden release, Dragonite. Um...This is Fela. She's a new friend, a class mate in the academy that we're going to right now." Tristen said, still in a bit of a loss for words. Tristen was wanting desperately trying to play this cool, but how can he when for all intents his ace Pokemon is right here staring Fela in the face? Is she even going to blab this to Matteo? His mind is working at warp speed and he is coming up with nothing to downplay this.

Dragonite walks over towards Fela and the Scatterbug, his heavy footsteps across the grass making themselves known, probably not helping his already intimidating aura despite otherwise, he looks as gentle as can be. "Arrro." he speaks up to Fela, a hello to her.

Brian and Rachel returned their respective Pokémon and followed the rest of the students back to the Academy. They hadn't actually battled against the Klawf, both choosing not to on account that Rachel's Pokémon were too inexperienced, and Brian only had one that could really do any kind of damage against it. Not to mention all the people already engaged in battle with it. Once the next morning rolled around, both headed off to Ms. Raifort's classroom, wanting to see what the day would bring.

Fela was still in awe, as well as slightly scared, of the dragon in spite of the explanation, the girl still looking up at it in silence for several seconds. Eventually she would find it in herself to speak as she swallowed hard and forced herself to smile at the intimidating draconic monster. "H-hello...!" She managed to say, then turned his attention back to Tristen.

"Did you raise him yourself? He's so...big!" She said, slowly relaxing and warming up to the Pokemon as she continued to examine it. "Tristen! You're no novice trainer, are you?" She said with an almost accusing tone, quickly piecing together things the more she looked over the dragon.

“I mean, I guess…” Tristen said as Fela examined Dragonite. Tristen had the feeling that Fela wasn’t too familiar with these dragons. Perhaps they weren’t native in Paldea either? Tristen had no idea. All the same, as time went on the more he started to believe she wasn’t in that initial class. That was good, at least. That said, he couldn’t just let on how he got Dragonite. Managing to effectively get it off a couple of Pokémon Ranger squad captains in a fight, albeit later for Dragonite to want to stay with the kid when he went to return him, was going to make the situation all manner of odd to explain, especially more so without bringing up him being a Snagem. At the moment, the most Fela knew is that when it comes to Pokémon training, he’s been around the block a bit, especially if he was in possession of the likes of a Dragonite. Maybe he could downplay it? Would that even work? How could he? It’s a dragon; a Pokémon species that effectively demand respect. Maybe he could divert the topic? “Uh…anyways, sorry Dragonite. Wimpod was the one that got you out of your ball, I think. Remember the times he kept running back into his ball when the training got a little tough?”

“Arrro.” Dragonite said, a bit of an irritated tone. The dragon was in quite familiar, those times in the training room, sparring with perhaps Litten or even so much as a training dummy at the headquarters and out of nowhere, it snaps.

Tristen managed to pull out Wimpod’s Pokeball and released the Pokémon back out upon the ground. “Wimmmpaa.” It screeched out.

“Wimpod…its fine, that spider is gone.” Tristen said in a bit of a disappointed tone, reaching down and picking up the bug off the ground, holding it in his arms. He held him up towards Dragonite. “You need to apologize; this was your battle and you got Dragonite out, didn’t you? And even worse…” he turns around towards Fela. “…you left Fela and Scatterbug behind. You were doing so good too!”

“Paaaa…” It then spoke up, sinking in Tristen’s arms once more. It seemed apologetic, though perhaps maybe ashamed? Tough to tell when the default looks on one’s face is mild discomfort.

Tristen sighed a bit, looking back at Fela. “This might be a long month…”
PostPosted: Tue Mar 19, 2024 4:59 pm
Fela looked at Wimpod with an expression of sympathy, feeling kind of bad for the wimpy little bug, it wasn't its fault, it was just instincts. Moving on from that though she looked up and noticed the sun beginning to set and then turned back to Tristen and giggled at his comment. "Possibly but I think it will be a fun month!" She said with a smile, then turned her back to Tristen.

"Come on, it's about to get dark, let's head on back to the academy. I heard tonight the cafeteria is serving pinchitos! Don't worry, you'll love it!" With that said the girl began to run towards the gates of Mesagoza, setting her sights on the academy and the cafeteria inside of it.

-----

After Tristen returned to the academy, and possibly ate some dinner, it would be time to retire to his room, to finally relax after a long day. For the first time that day he was finally alone, however he still had his Pokemon to keep him company. No doubt he'd have lots of thoughts and feelings swirling in his head as he had a moment to digest everything that transpired that day, and no doubt was glad to finally rest. In time sleep would come and with it a new day would start...

No doubt he'd have lots of thoughts and feelings swirling in his head as he had a moment to digest everything that transpired that day, and no doubt was glad to finally rest. “Pinchintos?” Tristen would ask, staring in confusion. Before following Fela off, Tristen would recall Wimpod and Dragonite back to their respective Pokeballs, then made his way off, following his classmate for the cafeteria, though there was also that sandwich he had gotten from Ms. Picante earlier for helping with the dishes. Maybe another time. Tristen would explain to Fela about the sandwich he got from Ms. Picante then made his separate ways from Fela for the time being, at least until the next day. Though whatever those Pinchintos were kind of intriguing. They’d possibly have them another day…he was almost sure of it.

Making his way back for his room, Tristen would make his way for his bed, sitting down for the moment. His day being played back through his mind. He started to take out his Pokeballs and sat them down on a nearby counter, opting to not really releasing any of them at the moment. Unlike his room back at the headquarters, he didn’t have that kind of space, and even then, it wasn’t like he could fit that many anyhow. In here? Dragonite wouldn’t be comfortable, Zebstrika wouldn’t really be able to move that well either. Castform, Wimpod, and Espeon might be fine however. That reminded him…the jog with his Pokemon during Ms. Deidra’s class. Maybe he could get Wimpod to run around there? It’d be better than trying to get a Scatterbug to run about by a comparable margin like he thought earlier.

As he continued to sit there, he laid back on the bed, staring at the ceiling, his day still being played back in his mind. His dealings with Matteo. Basically saving their grade in the home ec class…the run during P.E….wait, that reminded him. In the morning he was going to meet with Matteo about learning how to use Agility. And he had questions to ask before getting involved in that. Tristen quickly scrambled back up off his bed and pulled out his SNAG. Without hesitation he quickly made his way through his contacts, but then as he got over his adoptive father’s name in the contact list, ready to hit the button, he hesitated. He didn’t know what he was doing right now and he didn’t want to interrupt. Not to mention, frankly, he needed to show that he could try to do things on his own, just to make him relax more. At least that’s what he figured needing to be done. Not to mention, if Tristen mentions the fact of him perhaps training on his abilities in between class days, Tristen figures his adoptive father might drop everything to come help as an excuse to break off what he is doing.

Tristen would go back through his contacts, trying to find Freth instead, but before he would get the chance to select her to call her, a knock came on the door. Tristen stared in confusion for a moment, getting up and made his way to the door. Once he opened it, a look of surprise came over Tristen. “Freth?” There at his door was the female Galarian Articuno hybrid at his door.

“Hey, came to check on you. Had a good first day? Hungry?” Freth held up a to-go tray of something that smelled pretty good. It was apparently that Pinchinto stuff Fela talked about earlier. Tristen would open the door and let her in, though he had to refuse the food since he already had something. From there, as the two had their respective dinners, Tristen and Freth would have a decent conversation about how their respective day went. Freth went on to talk about the conversation she had with Aden, Reno, and Crystal, followed up by the gigantic Pokémon that gorged themselves on the herba mystica to get to that size. Tristen had about as much to tell as well, though emphasized his whole dealings with Matteo…until finally…

“…that reminds me, I needed to ask you something Freth. I was going to call you when I got back in here, but you came knocking before I could call you on the SNAG.” Tristen said, putting his sandwich down for a moment on the counter.

“Yea? What is it?” Freth asked, wiping her beak.

“In the morning, I’m supposed to meet Matteo about learning Agility.” He said. “Though the way he does it, I don’t think its good for anyone’s health, let alone his.”

“What do you mean?”

“Well, he did it to win a race during class today…but doing so, he nearly tripped over himself once he crossed the finish line, he…didn’t seem that much in control over it. He also looked kinda sick when he did it, but it wasn’t like he was exhausted, not like if you or Blizz did it for too long.”

“Really? Hm…yea, he’s one of those ‘full-of-himself’ types by what you told me about him. You might want to be careful, honestly. Not that I don’t think you can’t handle yourself. I just don’t want him to teach you wrong. I doubt Blizzard would want that either.”

“What do you think is Matteo’s problem with Agility?”

“Well, I didn’t really think anything of it when I was the icy Articuno, but since learning Psychic abilities, I’ve been starting to grasp as to why Agility is classified more as a Psychic trick than any other type’s wheelhouse.” Freth said. “Its more than just trying to get your body to move at blazing speeds. Tell me, how fast was he when he went?”

“Nothing like you had or Blizz now.” He said. “I could still see him all the way through. With you and Blizz, while I think I gotten better in trying to keep up with you two, it still looks like a lot of the times you two just outright disappear in front of me.”

“Yea, that’s what I kind of thought. Truthfully, I might be more able to better explain and guide you through agility somewhat compared to Blizzard now given what I know. The reason why he wasn’t going that fast, let alone had a hard time coming to a stop, or getting sick to his stomach over it, was because he doesn’t have the mental acuity for it.” Freth said. “Like I said, its not just getting your body adjusted to move at blazing speeds, its also having the mental fortitude to maintain it and be aware of every motion that you do and your surroundings. If you think it was bad trying to keep up with us with your own two eyes, imagine what it was like for me, or is like for Blizzard. Every thing has to be heightened exponentially. Awareness, reaction time, and conditioning to maintain it. You need every miniscule fraction of a second to make sure you’re not hurting yourself or pushing yourself in all the wrong ways. Otherwise, losing your lunch is the least of your worries. Its oh so easy to step wrong or run into something at those speeds. Blizzard wasn’t able to teach you much about it because he, not being a psychic himself, isn’t able to describe all that you need to do. Truthfully, he barely knows himself. He only figured it out in the heat of the moment fighting me all those years ago and long after that when I was trying to learn my hybrid prowess, I kind of got what he was talking about when I started to try to figure it out, but I had to do the rest on my own.”

“So…why didn’t you try to train me in Agility?” Tristen asked, confused.

“One? I thought you were too young at the time every time Blizzard figured to try. As an Electrike, you barely had a decent handle on Thunderbolt, if you recall, and it wasn’t until just before you evolved that you were actually able to handle more than a couple of shots with it before feeling drained. Secondly, well…Blizzard was more than insistent in trying to teach you everything he could. Kind of a measure in pride. Third, I doubt I was going to fair any better than Blizzard anyhow, because it isn’t like trying to train a Pokémon, after all. Then finally, well, hybrids do everything different even though they share similar moves. For instance, it isn’t like I got any icy prowess to move me with Agility anymore, nor did you have any to begin with.”

“You and Blizz used it to rocket-launch yourselves and regulate the stress on your bodies, which required a lot of concentration to do, and that was on top of trying to be able to watch every move you did and if you were in a fight, what your enemy did…more mental work, right?” Tristen said.

“Right. And because of which, I’d take everything this Matteo says with a grain of salt…or a few…” she said. Tristen leaned over on the counter, staring at his mostly eaten sandwich, a bit dejected. It all made sense now as to why he didn’t really have any opportunity to learn Agility before now, it was a rough task to begin with, considering all the factors in play. “Look, I’m not stopping you from trying to learn, and if you think this apparent new friend of yours is able to help in that, then by all means have at it. I just want you to be careful. Agility isn’t anything to really screw with. Though if you do succeed, well, heh, you may end up proving Blizzard right in one thing.”

“Huh? What’s that?”

“You said that Blizzard and I disappear in front of you every time we used Agility?” Freth asked. “Blizzard thinks you may end up even faster than that.”

“He did not.” Tristen said in disbelief.

“He did. Fast as we are, we know we’re not the fastest. And it doesn’t help our case when a good number of electric types are faster than even legendary Articunos anyhow.” Freth said. Tristen couldn’t hide the look of surprise of his face. “Something to chew on…” Freth would finish off her meal then throw her garbage in the nearby garbage can. “Well, I’ll leave you to it. I’d stay more, but after today, I got to make sure everyone is good for tomorrow.”

“Alright, good night, Freth.” Tristen said as she made her way out the door. Tristen would finish off his own sandwich, feeling actually kind of good. Afterwards, it was a bout of relaxation and then finally bed.

Tristen’s SNAG would chime loud, waking him up. The sun hasn’t made its way out yet. He needed time for breakfast and get ready for the day, where it was probably going to be a workout immediately given that he was bound to meet with Matteo this morning to start learning how to use Agility. There was one issue that he might need to rectify. As much as he didn’t want to do it, he would end up having to stash Dragonite for the time being with the Team Snagem’s PC storage. He didn’t need another accident in risking getting his cover blown by Wimpod and his tendency to Wimp Out back into his ball. Though that left Tristen wondering what Pokémon he should have in his place. At the moment, he had Zebstrika, Castform, Espeon, Wimpod, and Gyarados…wait, Gyarados…maybe it wasn’t that good idea to have him around either. Another Pokémon to stash in the PC. So now that was two Pokémon. As Tristen contemplated his Pokémon, a realization…Fela now knows of Dragonite. Was she going to speak up about him to Matteo? Maybe he needs to see her later about it…

To keep up appearances, Tristen would withdraw his own Litten, then his most recent addition, also thanks to Galar, his Rookidee. Maybe that will help him keep up with appearances for the time being. Though maybe having Espeon and Zebstrika is going to raise questions…problems for later. After getting his party set up, he would make his way out of the dorm and on the hunt to track down Matteo.

Tristen would find Matteo at the courtyard as promised, where the battlefields and running tracks were, a place Tristen was becoming familiar with. The hybrid would smell the other boy approaching before he even laid eyes on him so by the time Tristen visually spotted him as well they were both staring at each other, Matteo sitting on a balancing beam, a piece of workout or play equipment depending on what your reasons for using it were. As Tristen neared he stood up and stretched a little.

"Didn't think you'd show." Matteo said in a cocky tone, stretching a little more. Why he thought that was anyone's guess but it was probably Matteo just trying to poke at Tristen, as the Growlithe hybrid appeared to enjoy doing to people. "Hopefully you don't have Ms. Dendra this morning otherwise you might be a tired pup before the day's even over." He grinned at Tristen, though thankfully Tristen did not have Dendra's class, in fact it was history first thing this morning. "Have you ever tried to use Agility before?"

Requiem of Whyspers

Waving away the smell with their one hand, they offered a small, almost pathetic wave with their shattered arm, forgetting that it was missing for a moment. With a small cough from the burning smell to clear their airway, they spoke quietly. "Hello! Anything special I should know about this class? It's my first day."

The 'vaping' would let out a sudden cough as they realized Clare was talking to them, attempting to suppress the cough as to not draw attention but failing badly at it. Once they got their lungs back under control they would clear their throat a bit and begin to speak in a horsed voice that still did nothing to determine an obvious gender.

"Hi..." The person said in a leery tone. They would then look around, as if checking to see if this was some kind of joke, that someone put Clare up to talk to them but once they saw it wasn't they turned their attention back to Clare and made a face, a confused one, what they were confused about was unknown. "Special? Math? No...no I don't think so. Ms. Thyme is kinda lame...nice, but lame." They said, dismissively slouching forward in their desk, resting their head. "So, you're the newbie. What's your deal?" They asked, head laid to the side to look at Clare. "Some kinda hybrid right?" The student asked, then it dawned on them that they hadn't give their name despite hearing Clare's and let out a grumble because it meant they had to be even more social. "...name's Indigo, call me Indie."
