Theodin smiled slightly as Kaori talked about her training with the wild cats and how she was now the sage of the summon contract. “Oh wow, thats awe-“ he stopped short as it felt like the wind was knocked out of his lungs as Kaori explained that it was his old friend and student Sonyo’s blood he’d smelled coming from the scrolls Bast had been carrying , and that his friend was dead. The muscles in his throat clenched as he drew in a ragged breath, his eyes kind of glazing over as he receded into his own mind.In an instant, Theo felt a whirlwind of emotions rage through his head, grief for his fallen friend, curiosity about how it happened and where Nari was, who he would figure would’ve been there to protect her, rage towards whatever the culprit was in her death. He needed answers, though didn’t know who to talk to that might know. He needed to vent off these feelings, he needed to explode, but he knew he couldn’t where he was now, not without hurting several people, including others he cared a lot for. Moving on autopilot,his eyes still glazed and his mouth moving silently as he mumbled to himself, the large man shuffled slowly past Kaori and anyone else in the building without really paying any attention until he was about to reach the door. He’d then vanish suddenly in a cloud of smoke, having activated his summon seal. (Exit)

Physical Description
6’2”, 250lbs solid muscle,white hair to his mid back, held back by his Suna headband with heterochromic blue and green eyes. Wearing thermal insulated leather armor, dyed black, with patches of dull silver metal on the chest, upper back, and upper arms. A pair of steel arm guards and steel backed gloves,all painted black with a dark blue lining. Black boots, a pair of 30” broadswords hanging from his hips. The skin on the inside of his forearms, if visible, is covered in small seals. Over all his armor, generally hiding it,he wears a baggy sleeved black robe with dark blue trim and a black armored cowl hood.
Derych was at a loss for words. He simply was astounded she simply let him on in. Taking the headband in hand and shrugging off the mild threat to his life. He was in a pretty decent mood. Pleased that the girl at least took his help, not many were taking too kindly to his presence in the village. Most to the fact they didn't even know his past. He gave a subtle smile to her and let the Kage take over with the dispersal of the room. It took little to no time either for everyone to clear out in such a hurry. By all rights, he would have raced out as well in a hurry to learn the new techniques he gained access to, he was curious however how Kaori obtained the marks that she did. Overhearing her conversation he put two and two together, even though he actually had no idea what they meant. What he did fully understand was the talk of a fallen friend. His tone changed some to ask Kaori about the sage trainings. He was more curious about what it even was. Knowing she was wanting to get off to do some training herself. "More combat sounds great, don't forget I've already been a part of war. I just need to get some of the skills you all have so I can contend. Where will you be training if I might ask? I'm heading over to the academy shortly to pick up some new techniques."
Obstacles are like wild animals. They are cowards but they will bluff you if they can. If they see you are afraid of them... They are liable to spring upon you; but if you look them squarely in the eye, they will slink out of sight.
Kaori watched Theodin and the way he reacted to the news with a wince. She knew he would not take that news well, considering Sonyo had been much closer to him than Kaori had been to the girl. She watched Theo leave, and then turned to Derych. She gave him a slight smile, though he'd be able to tell by her eyes that she was worried for her long time friend and team mate. "Sorry about that, Theo is usually a little more friendly, but he got some very bad news. As for training, I will be heading to the academy as well, I need to form bonds with each of the summons I have earned the favor of. I'm more than happy to assist you with any Doton training, And Nova knows Katon. She can help you while I'm speaking with my summons." Kaori told him as she straghtened up a little bit, though she was still far shorter than Derych was. She patted his shoulder and then motioned for Nova to get a move on, they were heading for the Academy. {Exit to Academy}

Derych nodded to her with a smirk. "That sounds like a good idea, I'll see what I can learn up on my own. Watching some of the others I might have even come up with a way to make my own jutsu." His mind firmly thinking about trap like techniques. "If you wanna get to it we can get headed there." Was constantly wondering what a delicate looking woman could do in combat, it was an itch in his mind he deeply wanted to scratch sooner rather than later.
Haru Kurou Haru walked into the Kage's building, hands smoothing out the odd wrinkle here and there on his shirt. Even with all of his attempts to make sure he didn't get dirt of it there was still the odd smudge of dust that had gotten onto it. Tsk. He'd have to get it cleaned later.
For now he needed to hand in his missions and try to get something a bit more interesting hopefully to sink his teeth into. Clean up was fine and all but a tad boring for his taste.
His pony tail bobbed side to side as he approached the receptionist. He flashed her a warm smile. "Hello my name is Haru Kurou, I don't believe we've met yet. I finished helping clean up some areas in the residential districts and I was hoping there was a chance that the kage had something a bit more difficult that needed doing. Though I have a sneaking suspicion I may have missed her" he said with a quick glance down the hall. The kage's office was always notoriously busy which was kind of the reason that Haru avoided it. Sybil looked up from her book and smiled, Yes, I'm sorry you just missed her. The lady kage went to her home to prepare for the funeral of her daughter. As of right now there isn't much to do except help with cleanup and renovations. After the cleanup and funeral I believe the lady kage is going to send a few shinobi to Konoha. She said giving the young man another smile.
Haru winced at that explanation, finger tugging on the collar of his robe. "Yeesh. Yep, understood then. I guess I can polish up on my training to be ready for whatever's to come. Perhaps try and convince someone to toss me around a bit to" Haru added thoughtfully. Still he let out a sigh, a bit of disappointment but it wasn't one he could argue. His family only extended to his father and mother, who were very much alive and well.
"Ah well thanks for telling me at least. You have a good day now miss!" Haru said, giving her a short two finger salute and a wink before turning on heel and going back the way he came.

Hands behind her back with one palm gently grasping at the other, curious bright eyes glanced around as she made her way over to the office. She was excited. She finally graduated from the academy and she was ready to learn so much more the world had to offer her. Medium length hair flowed with each step she took as she was getting information off of the guards and the other odd beings. The odd beings were around Sunagakure so she remembered sensing them for as long as she could. Sadly, she didn't sense a strong and powerful chakra, which meant the Lady Kazekage wasn't in her office. Perhaps she could still get her headband. Made her way to the door before and at the secretary room, with a kind smile, she half bowed in greeting and waited to be called instead of seeming rude and just demanding for a headband. Her fingertips behind her back seemed a bit jittery. It could be her trying to contain her emotions. Finally, Yoshi had realized that her emotions were getting strong so she silently inhaled short and exhaled longer, in which it cleared her mind of the cloudy emotions.

There is always a calm before the storm; the storm in this case, being the anxiety-ridden klutz that was currently sliding down the hall after tripping on her own feet. "Yoshi-chan! W-wait for m- Ack!"Thud. Her impact reverberated through the floor, and echoed throughout the hall. The sensor specialist would have more than likely noticed Hikaru long before all of the commotion. A weak, pitiful source of chakra influenced by her own fears of taking her next step towards becoming an official shinobi of Sunagakure.
Scrambling up to her feet and nearly falling again, she skittered to Yoshi's side, breathing heavily. "I'm... sorry that I'm... so late." She gasped for air between breaths, continuing on as she followed Yoshi's lead. "It was really difficult to get out of bed this morning. I had nightmares about this day... so many nightmares. I'm really nervous, y'know..." Hikaru had no idea what was in store for either of them. She didn't understand how Yoshi was so calm and collected over this whole ordeal. "Do you think the Kazekage is nice? My grades weren't the best, she might not even let me get a headband. But, you Yoshi, you were phenomenal! I'm sure the Kazekage will like you." Part of the reason why Hikaru was able to graduate when she did was because of Yoshi's help. Without her, she might have been stuck with those noisy children soon. "Maybe there is room for a chef in their ranks? I-I don't think its a good idea that I be on the front lines, or anything. What if I get hurt? Or worse..." She paused, momentarily, "You'll be there to protect me, won't you Yoshi? I don't think I'll be able to handle all of this pressure by myself. You're so strong-willed and calm all of the time. It's like nothing really gets to you, y'know."
Her nervousness manifested in endless jabbering, only partially coming to a halt as they approached the secretary. "...So strong, so brave, so- Oh. Hello. We're here for our headbands, as graduates from the Academy." She finally fall quiet, bowing to the secretary; following after Yoshi, naturally.
Sybil looked up from her book at all the camotion, and honestly, couldn't help but giggle at the two new graduates. Lady Ayame has gone to the crevice to stretch her and Daichi's legs. She normally keeps some headbands on her so if you would like to get them from her you are welcome to join. She would say with a bright smile and an adjustment of her glasses.

The white-haired girl paused as she heard someone called her out. The voice sounded rather familiar. Her head turned towards the noise that it was coming from as she noticed the familiar face, Hikaru. The odd girl that definitely did not wanted to be a shinobi and has this odd obsession with food. She apologized for being late as she was going to say that she just arrived herself, but just like their... time together, Hikaru took over and sometimes Yoshi can barely get a word in. All she can do, was to wait. For some odd reason, this girl had taken a liking to Yoshi and clinged to her throughout the academy years. Her eyebrow rose when the wanna-be Chef had mentioned nightmares of this day. "You're right, she may not give you the headband. If I remember right, your scores were barely passing so they just might, you still passed. Shinobi are meant to fight and being prepared to do anything for this village that includes killing for the good of this village. You do not have the traits of one." Yoshi heard her words as she paused for a moment and then nodded. "You do have the traits to help the village people, by food oddly enough. Which I still don't understand. Perhaps I can mentioned to the Kazekage that you would be more beneficial as our Chef and during an attack, you could be responsible for evacuation. Of course, I'll be there to protect you and many others." Yoshi said with a smile. Though the jabbering continued and Yoshi was convinced that some of her words might be fallen through deaf ears as they approached the secretary and she quickly became quiet and following closely behind the white-haired graduate. The secretary spoke and explained that the Kazekage was at the crevice. "Thank you." She said as she half bowed towards the woman and started to make her way to Ayame, knowing that Hikaru would most likely be following behind.

Theodin was walking through the halls of his mom’s office tower looking around. He’d been kind of bored lately. Hearing a noise, he glanced towards the staircase to see a couple girls he didn’t completely recognize and assumed they were rookie genin going to get headbands. He knew his mom was out at the gates playing with Daichi, but decided to have a little fun messing with the fresh meat. Figuring out roughly where Sybl’s desk was upstairs, Theo would perform the handsigns for his flight jutsu and a sensory tech to let himself merge with and pass through solid objects. Drifting up into the air, he would chuckle slightly to himself. The kids seemed nervous, so he hoped he’d be able to get a good reaction out of at least one of them.
As he got his head through the floor of the level where the office was, he would peek through to make sure he was just behind the girls. Once he had his position right he would bolt up through the floor, landing right behind and between them with a hand on each of their shoulders with a boisterous “Hey kids, wanna see a dead body?!?”

Behind Yoshi trailed an anxious Hikaru, whose words had found themselves embedded into the young Hakemoto's thoughts. Not receiving a headband at all would not be a very good thing for her. The headband was the only thing keeping her from being forced to train with the monks at the temple, and likely taking away any chance at chasing her dream along with it. "K-killing!?" Hikaru felt the color drain from her face when Yoshi mentioned oh so casually how they'd be taking lives - quite possibly at the beginning of their career. "I-I... tried the best I could in the academy, Yoshi. I swear it." Part of her knew Yoshi was right: she was not cut out for being a shinobi. "But there has to be more to being a ninja than just fighting and killing people. There has to be..." If resorting to violence was the first instinct of "ninja", then it only made sense why they learned of so many wars that happened before them in their history books.
"Y-you're underestimating the value of a good meal, Yoshi!" She'd exclaim, in yet another attempt to try and get Yoshi to understand why food was so important to her. To people in general. If ninja were made to take lives, then food did the opposite. It nourished them, brought people together, and allowed them to share experiences and emotions brought by the diverse flavors of a meal prepared out of love. This is what her father taught her. "You need food to live, right? Think about how terrible your life would be if the food you had to eat - to survive - didn't do its job of nourishing you properly. How would you feel everyday if that food was bland, unhealthy, or just plainly prepared without any care in the world for it? Food can do amazing things for people, Yoshi. I'm going to show you. I promise!" She was walking by Yoshi's side now, smiling brightly; her passion for food and creation of it was quite obvious at this point.
"D-don't worry about me, really. You have a lot going for yourself. Your smart, always calm, and so brave... You'd make a great Shinobi, y'know. Hikaru could only dream of being half the person Yoshi was, and she truly admired the girl for her resolve. This was the kind of Shinobi that villages were looking for. "I do thank you, for supporting my wish, though." She said, referring to Yoshi's input on how she could make herself 'useful' as far as Sunagakure as a whole was concerned. Even if she may have been mocking Hikaru, she didn't see it that way. "A-and for protecting me. It's means a lot, y'know..." She'd fall silent for the first time in a long while, with a lot to think about, following Yoshi to the crevice to find the Kazekage.
A brief moment of silence that was shortly followed by "Hey kids, wanna see a dead body!?" The short window of serenity was all it took for the poor girl to calm her nerves despite being on their way to meet the Kazekage. She was able to get a lot off of her chest, and she hoped after explaining a bit more, that Yoshi would understand her better. She did have her doubts, however. Now, the booming sound of a male's voice followed by what felt like a oversized, manly hand grasping her shoulder, what little bit of serenity she had achieved was thrown out of the window. "AYAYAYIIIIII!" Hikaru screamed at the top of her lungs, more terrified by the manly hand that gripped her shoulder out of nowhere, when she knew that the only two people in these halls were Yoshi and herself. She threw herself onto the floor (more like, hastily and clumsily falling), curling over her knees and covering the back of her head with her hands. "YOSHI SAVE ME! I don't wanna die! Get that manly monster out of here!!" She was bawling on the floor, trembling. "I don't wanna see a dead body!" She continued her cowardly blubbering, wiggling her way down the hall in a hurry, while keeping herself in the protective ball she created for herself.

"I know you tried your best," reassured Yoshi, after all, she doesn't lie, "I saw it. I've seen your strength and willingness to pass somehow. It's just, you aren't meant to be a shinobi. I don't know what you are thinking, enrolling at the academy instead of a cooking school or something," muttered Yoshi. She doesn't get it. Course she had no idea what Hikaru had to go through with her family. Perhaps, it's best she wouldn't know or Yoshi just might give that family a piece of her mind. It seemed Hikaru said there was more to being a ninja instead of fighting and killing people. She thought about it. "I mean, we also bring in criminals. Make things right. Help build homes when it's destroyed. Heal the sick. There is more, it's just.. there's nothing shinobi about cooking."
It seemed Hikaru got rather defensive about the cooking. Her eyebrow rose towards her. "I'm okay with bland food....? It's food Hikaru, while surviving, there's no need to worry about taste." She said honestly. Food was food, there was no need to spice it up and season to boot. Hikaru said she was going to show her, the white-haired female can merely nod towards her. "I'll give it a shot." With a shrug of her shoulders as they head down the hallway. Just like a spin of the shoulders, Hikaru started complimenting her. "Not that smart. Not that brave. I do try to be calm..." Yoshi corrected her. She wasn't, by definition in her opinion, smart. Or brave. She just do what she was told to do or take care of things. "That's what people do. Support each other wishes and dreams. And of course. I'm here to protect everyone." As they made their way down, she slowed down in her footsteps as she was rather confused. She was sensing something but right. Just fast as lightning, she felt a head on her shoulder and Hikaru scream. Instinct took over as she grabbed the hand spun around, leaned on her right leg as she attempt to use her body weight to pull him towards her while her left knee bent to attempt to side kick the man who was asking the two females, alone in a hallway, if they wanted to see a dead body.

Hearing the more anxious of the two girls scream bloody murder and freak out like crazy, Theo would bust out laughing. When he felt his weight being pulled forward slightly as the white haired girl spun, Theo would step and spin with her. This would cause her kick to extend out into empty air as Theo’s hand slid around Yoshi’s back, under her arm and up her shoulder to grab the back of her neck, locking her in a half Nelson position and allowing him to control the majority of her movements while standing behind her. Still laughing, Theo would calm himself down slightly, “Not bad for a rookie, almost remind me of myself as a new genin... what’s your name?” He would then turn to look down the hall at the panicked girl inch worming her way down the hall while still half curled in a ball. “And you, stop screaming. If I wanted to actually hurt you, you’d have been dead before I said anything. I was just messing with you a bit.” After giving the girl he had ahold of time to calm down, he would release his grip on her neck, pushing her shoulder quickly as his arm, went under hers to spin her back around to face him.
