Rafael growled and ran a hand through his hair as his eyes skimmed over the security monitor, there was no way of contacting Zil with out the advancing surge of Deithelms finding him. Raf would have to sit tight and wait to be contacted.

The soldiers had already made it into the front foyer of the base and by the looks of it they meant business. “I doubt even all the traps that trigger happy b*****d set up will keep these guys out for long…it’s like ants at a pic-nick!” Pushing himself away from the desk Rafael stood and stalked over to another computer. He watched as the screen flared into life, a myriad of red blinking dots scattered across a screen. The hill was just swarming with Deithelmian technology, and most of the red dots where now heading in the base’s direction.
Hissing with anger the technician moved from computer to computer, pulling up programs and windows as he went – If they were coming to take down the base he would make navigating there a hell of a lot harder for them to get to the people still within its walls.

Dustin traveled with Zil, rather upset that they had to abandon the new base. They would have to find somewhere else. He just hoped that the Diethelmian soldiers came across all those nice little traps. The less soldiers Damien had on his side the better.


"Have you gotten the connection back yet" Damien asked Jian.

"No... It's not back on yet..." Jian muttered. Suddenly, his cell phone went off. "Hello?" He asked.

"Hey, we intercepted a car filled with kids, but we don't know which ones you want. Some were wearing wigs or had their hair dyed, and we didn't want to send you the wrong ones. They're all being sent over to the main hq with a few doctors and soldiers to make sure none escape. They should be arriving shortly."

"Really? Excellent. Continue with the operation. I expect to hear more good news." Jian replied. He then hung up and turned to Damien. "They found a group of kids, and they're sending them over so we can check for the twins. They should be over here soon."

"Excellent. I hope they got a good haul or rebels as well. The torture camps have been getting empty" Damien said with glee. Things kept on going in his favour. He hoped this would be a severe blow to the rebels. "Well this shouldn't be to hard to decipher. If the twins are in there then we'll pick them out and then send the rest to the camp in South Diethelm Passage" Damien ordered.

Although it could be counted as a concentration camp, the children's camp in South Diethelm Passage was more like a military school. However children who were considered too weak for camp standards were often sent to the nearby experimentation camp.

"Good idea." Jian replied. "After all, I'm sure many if not all of them were either kidnapped or pressured into joining." He said.

Not too long later, a soldier came and knocked on Jian's door. "Sir, a transport group arrived and they said they are expecting you. They said they're escorting everyone to the medical unit." He said.

"Good. Tell them we'll be right over." Jian replied. "Shall we go?" Jian asked Damien as he tightened his white glove.

"Of course. You know, since the children were kidnapped it might be even easier to tell. The other ones I'm sure were brainwashed by the rebels to hate me, but the twins still seemed to miss me...especially after...well you know" Damien said, "that is of course if these kids are still conscious. They may have been knocked out so they wouldn't struggle". He headed down with Jian.

"True." Jian replied. "I just hope they're ok. Who knows what the rebels did to them during that month." He muttered, walking into the door where a large group of children ran around or sat wailing and crying. Several of them had been injured and were being treated. To the side, a few of the children (like 5 or 6) had been laid on stretchers and weren't moving as if they were dead, including the twins. Unlike the crying children, no one was tending to the kids on the stretchers.

"Hello, Chief General... a-and Absolute Leader." The doctor said with alarm as the two entered the room. He was expecting the Head General, but he didn't think that Damien would be there.

"Do you see them?" Jian asked Damien, looking among the crying children.

Damien looked around, the crying making him irritated. "No, none of them look familiar" he said. "Hey, can you find a way to shut them up?" he asked the doctor. He then looked over to the ones on stretchers. "I'm hoping that these ones are still alive, or did you bring corpses into the building?" the Absolute Leader quipped.

"Well sir, John would..." the doctor started. "Where is John?! He's supposed to be looking at those ones! I've already got my hands full!" Jian turned towards the kids in the corner and his eyes lit up with alarm when he saw the twins off to the side out of Damien's view.

"They're here!" He stuttered, quickly picking up Valkyrie's arm and searching for a pulse. Her brother was on the stretcher right in front of her. Both were covered in dirt with a few light cuts and scratches on them.

Damien ran over to the kids. "Well then you best send for him or otherwise he's going to be in a lot of trouble" he said to the doctor. He then turned to the twins. "Oh dear. I hope these are the worst injuries they got" he stated.

The doctor immediately stopped working on the child he was on, and ran to the back. "John! Where are you!?" He demanded.

"I'm over here, damn it." the doctor 'John' replied with a medical kit in one hand and papers in the other. "Head General. A-absolute Leader?..." he stuttered, walking over towards Jian and Damien.

"How are they?" Jian demanded. "I feel a pulse but it's faint."

"I was just checking on that sir. According to the blood test, the children on the stretchers have all been sedated. With the given concentration, they should be awake in about 20 minutes." The doctor said, flipping through the papers to find the paper on Valkyrie's blood sample.

"Thank goodness..." Jian said with a huge sigh of relief.

Damien felt relieved as well. He then turned to Jian. "Should we stay here and wait or take our leave for the moment?" he asked the Chief General.

"Either way is fine with me." Jian replied. "What do you want to do?"

"I-If you would like, I can have them cleaned up and brought to your office." The doctor suggested.

"That would probably be a good idea." Jian replied. "Is that fine with you?" He asked Damien.
