"Well all that information is helpful. Just as I though, Shadow is in collaboration with those rebels. This Zil person, I think I heard about him from the tactics head. Anyway, I guess we'll just have to see who's been captured. Any information is good because it gives us more clues. Did they ever force you to design anything for them?" Damien asked.
Word of the Shadow's theft of the one machine and the destruction of the others had reached HQ and a soldier ran down to Jian's office to get the Chief General. When the soldier was informed that Jian was not there he started running down to Damien's office.

"Nope." Vincent started.
"That was the weird thing." Valkyrie continued.
"After they told us that they knew, we asked them if that's what they wanted." Vincent continued.
"But they weren't after them. They were just after some ransom money." Valkyrie replied, referring to the fortune they inherited.
"I don't think they really took our ability seriously until just a few days ago when we met the prince. If we stayed longer, they might have." Vincent muttered.
"But for the most part, they just went about saying we just had to be good kids and sit there." Valkyrie finished.
Jian knocked on the door. "I'm back." Jian told them. "Permission to enter?"

Zil said, "You were up rather fast. I dress quickly so I didn't expect you up here that soon. It's like you sprinted up here somehow." He retained the solemn nature of his speech and his eyes seemed a little heavy from the previous invasion, knowing this time, his actions would have to be a lot less tame despite the obvious restrictions.

Damien chuckled. "Well, then I shall take advantage of their stupidity" he said. He then heard Jian. "Yes, you may enter" he said.
Before Jian could go in though, the soldier ran up. "Chief General!" he cried. He panted for breath as he stopped running. "There's an urgent situation that needs your attention, sir" he stated.

Jian was opening the door when the soldier ran to him. "What kind of urgent situation? Explain." Jian demanded.
The twins turned to look at Jian who was standing at the entrance of the door, talking to some unknown soldier with curiosity.

Damien leaned over to look around the kids and see what was going on at the door.
The soldier explained the information that was sent to them about Shadow stealing the machine and destroying the other ones.

"Well, you're right. This is all because I failed in the 'secret mission' meant to please the twins. I have failed" He emphasized, taking a seat on the bed, knowing his winner's mind would not deal with this very well" He paused for an instant in quiet reflection and continued, "I tried everything from taking hints on what kind of food they liked and specifically serving only those kinds to them, keeping them out of view of the other rebels and even provided for them the basics of a television and a DVD to no avail. I even let them out occasionally, only for them to misbehave and end up back in their rooms. I knew then that time was running out and then they found out about their father... Then you came along and we actually had hope of succeeding and now, poof. Plus, our kids are with those scumbags as well. I regret not presenting a request for ransom to Diethelm the day they were brought here. Now, the only use we will ever have of them is 'dead'." He looked rather blankly and breathed silently, seeming to stare at the wall opposite him.

"You mean to tell me some blond rebel woman just ran up, shot five soldiers, stole a machine, and used it to take out all the other ones?" Jian snapped, partly of disbelief.
"Blond?" Vincent asked.
"Did it have pink in it?" Valkyrie asked.
"It sounds like Harmony." Vincent replied.
"That's what I was thinking." Valkyrie agreed.

My logical thought = church in control and bans weapons of mass warfare but doesn't burn technology but keeps it hidden in library in blueprint form. (that's why there were no big bloody wars. The church Lianne controls had been preventing it for years). Catch my drift? )) "Thinking about it, I don't think they would have been happy with all that stuff. They probably felt trapped." Shadow sighed. "Don't think too hard on it, ok Zil." Shadow said, patting him on the back. "There's always hope. We just have to find out where it's hiding." She sighed. "I wonder..." Shadow muttered in thought. "The holy city has had a pretty tight control over the kingdoms a long time ago. During that span, no major renovations or hot wars existed. And then... suddenly in the past two hundred years, religion become a 'bad thing' because of one king, and suddenly we have this scientific boom. You think the church buried all of that technology for the past thousand years to prevent things like this from happening?

Zil looked at Shadow, surprised that she wasn't hitting him although quite relieved, quite aware of being capable of physical violence in this kind of state. He hesitated answering but did after a second, "Impossible. The priestess is such a hardy woman. If she had knowledge of such things, I highly doubt she would give it to us. If you truly wish to know, though, I can arrange for you but I won't go. Bring Dustin or Fanny." His voice was rather weak as opposed to the often booming roar of gleeful spurs to fight for the rebellion.
((OOC: Aw, and I was just about to say 'Don't worry, Lolly! You can use Lianne again in the next 150 pages' XD XD ))

Shadow let out a small sigh. She wanted to tell him everything would be alright, but how could she when she knew things were not. Instead, she had Zil lean on her as she cuddled his head against her breast and stroked the side of his face like a mother would do for a sad child. "I know it's hard, but people are depending on you. This nation and perhaps the world will fall victim to tyranny if we don't prevent it."

Zil felt a sting in his head and spine and quickly pulled away from Shadow, looking more than a little stunned or even surprised. Her actions resembled and mirrored that of his one love, the first leader of the rebels. Certain actions would make him more than a little suspicious as Shadow couldn't have possibly met the young woman before her untimely death. He was almost anticipating now if she would pull him close again and order him to sit still and allow her to comfort him - a personality quirk of the eccentric and often violent female Montinaguan leader.

"Fine then." Shadow snapped, slightly irritated and put Zil in a head lock and, giving him a light nuggy. "Seriously, is it that weird for a girl to comfort you?" She asked, cuddling his head again and running her hands through his hair.
