{Thanks for the map. That clears things up a bit. #7 still. He actually does threaten me, unlike #6.}

Emerald the Crow {Thanks for the map. That clears things up a bit. #7 still. He actually does threaten me, unlike #6.} *Insert evil DM cackle* Okiedokie, no dice then. Can't get past his Armor Class with a 20. Close though. And with all that mess done its time for the bad guys to go.

Soldier #2 is going to step over one square and aim his crossbow at Lad as retaliation to Lads attack on him.
(+8 hit, +5 DMG)
After firing the arrow it whizzed past Lads head by merely an inch. Apparently his aim was getting better.

I assume that Hur'Oc keeps running, so to speed things up ...
You can get to the weapons in seven squares I suggest doing a full run because of your slow speed, then you can use a normal turn to pick up the weapons, and then full run back to the party for two rounds.

((Sounds legit. I'd actually figured on these guards being a lot tougher... >_< Which seems to be a rare case of over estimation. I also figured I was going to have to man bear pig through a wall kool aid fashion and cut someone with a steak knife.))

Alright so you round the corner and grab the weapons, but you also run into another soldier in the corner of the room, now known as Extra Soldier. He is also last on the initiative roll.

Mastur Sage (Will save: +1 Wis, +1 Will SB = 20 pass no effect) Lad swears under his breath. "Why is it that the nondamaging spells never work when I need them?" He looks seriously put out by this turn of events. {FWIW, Lad would be horrified by the description of him in the poll. It's fair, but he would immediately commence trying to talk you into changing it. biggrin } {Oh, and Lad is only an attempted pin cushion. So far they've missed him (though of course saying this means he'll probably be crit'd or something next round wink ).}

Does the kitchen seem to have any major flaws like not being built for when an inevitable kitchen fire happens? Are there large windows? Are they open? Does the extra soldier seem to be dressed in any uniform? Is there any insignia showing? Is there any religious symbols showing? Is he armed with uniform weapons akin to the guards in the previous room?))

It has a long island in the middle where the weapons are sitting on and a long l shaped counter that stretches around the room. The soldier in the corner appears to be wearing the same outfit as the others, except that he has a specialist mark. He has the same heavy crossbow as everyone else did and he is standing in the corner of the room guarding an open doorway.
