Wilson tightly clung to the picture frame, attempting to climb to the very top so as to avoid as much gold and treasure as possible. He nervously stared down at the gold vortex and shuddered. Yeah. He definitely didn’t want to get sucked into that. The kid searched the room to see how the rest of the hunters were doing and to his dismay, he found Reine riding Thackery! He scowled. That was no fair. He wanted to ride a giant dog too! Brows furrowed and mouth twisted into a scowl, Wilson scanned the room for a dog of his own. Hmph. Eventually he found a giant black dog clinging to a chandelier plus a Marcus. Wilson waved, but he doubted he saw it.

He took a deep breath as he prepared himself and leapt. “Doggie!” he shouted, arms spread wide as he landed on Tybalt.

Siddie was sure he was going to be buried in the treasure, possibly crushed - and then his hand was grabbed, and he was pulled upwards. His other hand flailed frantically, found something to hold onto, and he managed to haul himself up onto the chandelier with Moure. "Thank you," he gasped, "oh jack, thank you, I was sure I was going under."

Tedan saw the candy arching through the air, tumbling end over end as it sailed toward him. He had to catch it. He had to, had to, and he reached out a hand, stretching .....

And missed. The candy fell into the gold.

He shrieked with outrage and disappointment, then abruptly let go of the chandelier with his hands and let himself fall backwards, legs still about the thing. Now he could reach the candy. And as he snatched it up and stuffed a piece into his mouth, Tedan continued to blissfully hang by his legs, now giggling at all the upside down people and monsters. This place was actually pretty fun.

"That's for sure!" Despite the situation, Xiu laughed, tilting his head to stare down at the coins. "Death by having too much gold...I haven't really heard that one before." It was admittedly a little awkward talking to Yin like this, with her hanging off of a chandelier and him clinging to some curtains, but that was all they could do as they waited for...uh...

...um. The gold was going to just...stop and disappear at some point, right? Or a door would magically appear that they could launch themselves out of?

Well, he was sure that they could wait it out. At least, with everyone distracted with staying safe, the Hunter scarelings had stopped attacking. Sighing, he looked back at Yin. "How long do you think we have to stay like this for? I'm not sure that I'll be able to hang on for that long." At least he had a little more muscle as a boil than he did as a ghoul.

Soon, as if summoned by the strife between the child hunters and students, a massive creature emerges from the room's golden depths to tower over all those in the room. It opens it gaping maw and blasts the room with...a song.

It doesn't move to attack anyone.

But it doesn't stop singing either.

Feel free to hit the dinosaur as often as you like. You tiny little strikes merely tickle it and are taken as a sign of love and affection.

Unfortunately just as the slowest wheels ever were beginning to turn for several of the Halloween students, the room itself began shaking.

At first it was barely noticeable, as if the walls were getting smaller - until an audible clinking and jangling noise reverberated across the room, the floorboards groaning dangerously.

All the 'treasure' in the room was multiplying, smothering everyone in the room as as it did so.

And for once, maybe for the first time ever, both Hunters and Amityville students were one in their feelings of just scrambling not to drown in the mounds of gold.

1-20: The gold clatters around you and begins to swallow you up dangerous. You grab one of the chandeliers, holding of for dear life.
21- 40: The gold begins to swim and churn and start sinking downwards. You attempt you best to hold the upturned table in order to prevent sinking.
41 - 60: You grab one of the picture frames on the wall, clinging for dear life as to not get sucked into the gold vortex.
61- 80: You grab a hold of the curtains on the window, clinging for dear life.
81-100: YOU ARE DROWNING IN GOLD COINS. QUICK, QUOTE SOMEONE TO SEE IF THEY CAN HELP YOU. (if they icly rp grabbing a hold of your character you are fine)

Though having her fur tugged was a little painful, she had asked her to hold on, and a few seconds of fur-pulling was far better than losing her in the chaos and scareling-eating gold.

"Hi Reine! I'm Thackery! We can be friends." Her tail wagged excitedly back and forth, and she had to fight the bubbly urges to hop happily all around their small area of tablespace. She loved having student friends at Amityville, and this one was more special, being a cute little scareling and all.

A scareling that loved him, even! She had to lie down - very slowly, of course - to prevent herself from performing the puppy equivalent of a happy-splosion, which would have likely included prancing around, standing on two feet, and potentially spinning in circles. None of those would have been good for Reine.

"Aw I, I love you too," she managed, barely. It was getting hard to concentrate through all of this glorious, glorious affection.

Could she keep her? She wanted to keep her.

Now Jerry was sure he had gone absolutely crazy.

This was definitely some sort of ridiculous bourbon-induced dream.

He refrained from crying, but the Kazoo did return to his mouth to hum along to the giant purple dinosaur's song as he clung to his curtain of safety.

He always DID like that guy.

Aymet noticed a distinct lack of tailtip before she could do anything about it. Probably lost to the gold coins. But as it was, they weren't going to survive if this boil kept smothering her with gratitude.

Aymet wasted no time in unzipping her hoodie, culminating in the world's most disappointing case of flashing. Where certain female chest anatomy should have been, for Aymet there were just a pair of mismatched second-stage treats hidden at chest level in her clothes.

"Sorry, girls, we need to make some room," Aymet explained to the minipets before tossing them both over to man-Lizzy. They were quite cold.

And before Chuppi could object, the dracolich pushed her tiny rescuee inside of her for safekeeping.

Hiccuping, Eva pulled her head away to stare up at Otto with big, watery blue eyes. She owed him? Well...she supposed that that made sense--after all, he had just saved her. Sitting back, she nodded her head obediently, but didn't speak. Even if she tried, she probably would have been interrupted by hiccuping and sniffles after every word.

The chance for her to pay the good deed forward came when she noticed a little girl being swept away by the coins. Swiping her tears away with her oversized sleeve, Eva scrambled to the edge of the table (and nearly undid Otto's work as she stumbled and almost launched herself back into the sea of gold). Leaned out as far as she could, she made a grab for Ariane's hand.

"H-hang in there!" Wriggling her fingers, she grasped for the girl's hand, and...there! Closing her fingers around Ariane's wrist, she pulled as hard as she could, dragging her over towards the table where she and Otto were currently perched on.

And then a giant purple dinosaur that looked suspiciously like Barney showed up. "AAAAAH!!!" Otto screamed, pointing up at the creature in horror. "KILL IT WITH FIRE!" He wailed, pressing his hands to his ears.

Tybalt was wrong.

It was a brat trying to ride a dog the size of a calf.

“No!” he cried stubbornly, grabbing fistfuls of fur and wrapping his arms around Tybalt’s neck.

Then Wilson looked over at Marcus and Cass. “Oh, hi.”

Upon hearing a familiar tune he turned around to stare at Barney. He stared for a long time, mouth open wide.

Moure held tight when she attempted to haul up the other student she'd grabbed. Once Siddie was safely aboard the lighting fixture with her, Moure gave a nod and a strained breath before looking around to see if anyone else was drowning.

Not particularly noticing anyone, she returned her attention to her new chandelier companion "You're welcome...but you wouldn't happen to have any idea what is going on, would you? I got here when the currency decided to attempt to kill us all." Moure asked, gripping her chandelier-seat and looking to Siddie in case the other student could give her an answer.

Whilst she was voicing this question, suddenly there was a giant dinosaur singing. What.

What.

That was it. This was officially one of the weirdest things that had ever happened to Moure.

Little life trainee Vanessa was still clinging to a chandelier when there was suddenly a dinosaur in the room. And they were singing. Why was there a giant Barney(?) in the room?! Little Vanessa is so confused. So very very confused. But there was so much sound and panic and confusion that Vanessa was actually making herself listen to Volt as he began to chatter about jokes like usual. At least the fail puns could drive out that song.

With her 1337 spider sense, he caught the two fluffballs in his arms, shivering at how cold they felt, when they were supposed to be warm, being fluffballs and all. Extending his spider legs to hang onto the curtain instead of using his now occupied arms, he wondered why he hadn't thought to make use of his ability earlier.

He then stared in mild fascination as female-Aymet stuffed a student into her chest, although her attention soon went over to the purple... Singing... Thing... He frowned, holding the minipets close to his (very flat) chest.

"What is that. What in Jack's name is that?!" Apparently, being male meant that Lizzy was more prone to swearing.
