Ten no Gachan Hashira [ Crashing Pillar of Heaven ] 1/2
Watching the student prepare his jutsu he took a moment to prepare his own. Seeing what jutsu he was preparing by the oil like particles in the air. Only knowing of one technique that could expel such an oncoming attack he began to prepare the chakra to do so surging his chakra up to gathering the moisture that was left in the air. Making a larger sized body of water floating in the air.
Ten no Gachan Hashira [ Crashing Pillar of Heaven ] 2/2
The student was winding up the method of igniting the mist. He had to act fast but wanted to be careful not to crush the student. Kazumi would see the large body of water floating near her practically hugging the roof. When the fireball technique was fired off it had started moving at a fast pace. He had to drop it, avoid everyone but not miss the fireball. Moving it partially over himself to avoid crushing the student, then dropping it with a fierce force. Pushing most of the mist into the ground as well as hitting the fireball. Some of the mist caught fire on the bottom of the water but the rest of the mass extinguished the flame almost instantly. Not only that but just barely missing Gen in the process. Crushing himself to do so. The force left nothing behind as it was a few tons of water pushing down on him into the floorboards.

Right in front of the young Genin's eyes water came rushing down, filling most of the room and putting a stop to most of the flames. This also was right over Ryoku's head it seemed as it crushed him, or at least it appeared to do so. Gen had already seen the trick with the shadows so he only assumed that the instructor had dropped down into the shadow of the water at the exact moment to save himself from actually being crushed. Standing there he brushed himself off and looked down noticing that his hand was still bleeding from earlier. Shaking his head he glanced towards the area where he had been standing before. The room was somewhat soaked now and Gen was a little disappointed that the fireball didn't get the job done. "So are you going to hide in the shadows again?" He asked standing there. Gen was getting ready to set him up. He needed him to show himself once more, that or even make some form of contact with him, all the senses would be involved. He wasn't happy to try and do this but either way, showing it now was probably the only way to get the instructor to show himself. '[Anoyo Kiretsu no Jutsu [ World of the Dead Fissure Technique ]' He thought to himself. If the instructor was watching Gen any amount of eye contact would do the trick.

But since Kazumi wasn't noticing a difference in the area, she could only assume that the fire user had used a genjutsu. Kazumi made a face, she was the top of her class in Ninjutsu, but she'd be just below average in genjutsu. She respected the craft of genjutsu, she just didn't have a talent for it. She hoped that her teammate wouldn't take this too far, he only had to hit their Sensei with a skill of any kind, but it seemed their Sensei was determined to make this as difficult as possible.
The young Senju frowned, when she saw their Sensei supposedly was crushed. She tensed, prepared to jump down and step in if needed, though she didn't know what she could do if she was required, but she would figure something out.""

Ryoku uses his aura to influence the shadows in the area. Up to 10 shadows are influenced and transform into shadow demons of ill intent. These demons go after whoever the users sees as a threat or opposition. These creatures all have one shared activation per post to attack as a group. They cannot singularly act on their own other than being destroyed one at a time. They suffer ordinary nara arts weakness to light as well as can be defeated by Ninjutsu their rank or higher. Physical arts however are rendered useless due to them being shadows.

Ryoku walked out from yet another wooden beam. "Impressive you knew that was not me." As he laid his eyes upon the student a fissure seemed to open up in the ground in front of him. Between him and the student. Wondering if he had possessed access to doton ninjutsu and wondering the damages just done to the academy floor he heard a familiar voice. A feminine voice that sent a chill up his spine. "Ryo... Why weren't you there. Why am I dead?" Several other voices spoke up including his little brothers. Quickly followed by them inviting him to join them. Ryoku's head hung down low for a little bit as with a sharp eye could see a few tears stream down his face. 'Kira, Yuuki, Shimo, Sacreia I am sorry. But there is really nothing I could have done. I should be dead myself, and then what. With me gone like you only more will die. I have a chance to see to that not happening any more. So I will have to decline your offer. I still have much to live for.'

Ryoku looking up he locked with Gen walking forward towards the fissure. Before he fully reached it he Kaied out without breaking his stride. Walking at a steady pace he projected his aura into the room. A very menacing aura that some might even be able to pick up on. The shadows around the room had begun to move around on their own taking a more demonic shape as they circled around Gen almost like a pack of wolves. Upon seeing the shadow demons they would began to distort and transform into much larger demon like entities. Amassing about twelve feet tall, sharp wings, claws and horns. All yelling very distracting like shrills as they moved. Ryoku just stood before Gen as they circled around the both of them. Never breaking his stare. "Consider your training raised a few levels. All you need do now is survive." Glancing up to the rafters towards the girl he had been training earlier. "Should you feel the need to interfere in his training, it will not be held against you. In fact it would be in his best interest should you do so. But keep in mind these do not take kindly to interference, they attack all that get in their way. Only one hint, They aren't human, or clones. Genjutsu is useless on them." Natural appearance

The shadow demons continued to race around Gen and Ryoku. Dragging their claws and taunting with hissing shrills occasionally. Trying to strike fear in their target. Before long, two of them raced in with their claws extended from opposite sides of Gen. One from the front and one from the back. The sound of the shrilling got painfully loud as they closed in. Ryoku crossed his arms and closed his eyes. He still had a conscious and should he see Gen begin to fall he might stop the attack. It was for real this time, he had to learn not to strike such low blows on his allies. Much less his enemies, a jutsu like that could enrage or even empower some people given their back story. 'Whatever happens, happens.'

Gen felt the room darken, but it wasn't in terms of lighting. No it was in terms of the feeling within the room, almost a killing intent. He stared at Ryoku appeared walking towards him, head hanging down somewhat as he called forth other shadows. At first Gen believed this to be part of the test but Ryoku was quick to assure him that the test was over. 'All you need to do is survive.' Gen heard those words and immediately believe his instructor. The shadow creatures loomed throughout the area while they began to encircle Ryoku and Gen. Turning his head from side to side watching the shadow beings as best he could he heard their screeching. It would be a lie to say Gen wasn't afraid, but his fight or flight reflexes began to kick in. About this time two of the large shadow demons came rushing at Gen. This didn't give him much time to react. He may not have noticed the one behind him for them not constantly screeching and yelling. When they Came at him the last second one of the claws from the back one caught his back as he jumped up into the air. Quickly signing before the jump Gen Focused his head down before letting out his jutsu. "Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu [ Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique ]" Aimed straight down for the two that convened in the middle of their shadow circle. As Gen landed he didn't care that his back was bleeding, he began to take off towards Ryoku. He was sly in his movements towards the ninja, his right hand slipped into his pouch while he came for the male. He figured that if he was being 'tested' in a more extreme sense he only assumed that the way to take out the shadows was to get the creator to stop as well. His hand came from his pouch and flew in front of his face from the right, going to his left. Three shuriken came flying towards Ryoku's chest. He was told to survive and if it meant harming his instructor to do so, he would.

Kazumi gasped slightly when the, what she assumed was, real Ryoku stepped out of the shadows. She assumed he saw some kind of genjutsu that really affected him, because she noticed a few tears before he broke the illusion and told Gen that all he had to do now was survive. Then he told her, in a round about way, that she should help Gen. Kazumi had the distinct feeling that Gen had done something to really send Ryoku into a rage. Honestly, what was it with young shinobi thinking it was a good idea to piss off the more experienced ones? She shook her head, but frowned, and felt her breath stop for a moment when she saw the shadows take on a life of their own, in the form of demonic beings.
Kazumi tensed, not sure what to think about this new development, but she watched as the hissing and screeching things attacked Gen. She was even less impressed when Gen lunged at Ryoku, clearly intending to harm their Sensei. She jumped down, and right before Gen's shuriken would have connected with her head, now where Ryoku's chest was, she formed a single hand sign and used one of her wind jutsu. The wind and air burst from around her with enough force to repel the shuriken. "How about you focus on actually surviving the jutsu, instead of trying to hurt our Sensei, there are other ways to dispel jutsu than incapacitating the creator."
So far, she was not impressed with her so called teammate. He enraged their Sensei, made her have to step in on his test to help him, when she had no such help with hers, and now he was trying to hurt their Sensei. How dense was this guy? She formed more hand signs and focused her chakra into the ground. Massive branches and roots rose from the ground and wove together to form four airtight walls, that then grew and expanded to create a roof, that was just as airtight. Once finished, two of the shadow demons had been trapped in the house, which had no way for light to make it's way through. "A shadow is useless without a light source. Take away the light source, and you take away the shadow. A Nara is far from useless without shadows, but they're at a disadvantage with part of their knowledge being ineffective."
Kazumi looked at the other creatures and frowned slightly, unsure if the same technique would work a second time. They were, luckily, down to six, instead of the original ten that she had seen from her place in the rafters. Now to figure out what else to do.

Shaking his head as he did manage to dispel two of them. The light of his fireball erased the shadows that were the two demons that attacked him. What transpired him next surprised him. He took the time to attack him after dispatching the two that had attacked him. Although it seemed as though he didn't make it out unscathed. Already looking like he would need some medical attention and he still had eight more to take out. Looking on with a bit of eager to his Kunai. Manipulating his chakra he was about to activate another ability of his they suddenly blew off trajectory. Glancing over at Kazumi with a slightly raised eyebrow. He was grateful for her efforts and care for his well being but at the same time a bit disappointed. "Thank you for the thought and efforts, But I assure you its a valid tactic against an enemy. Unfortunate for him though, Even if I die this jutsu will continue to hunt its pray." Looking behind Kazumi while lifting his index finger resting on his arm, indicating that she had more to worry about. "Also, to both of you. If dispatching me would be so easy, I would hardly be a qualified choice for your teacher." Cracking a slight smile as he was slowly coming out of the mood he was in, from hearing his deceased students and family. "Have just a little more faith in me then that."
Kazumi dispatched two of the demons by completely isolating them into a dark environment. This itself was a bit impressive. "Very nice execution. One dispelling with light and the other dispelling with complete darkness. Nara techniques are jutsu with a yin and yang system. It needs to remain balanced otherwise too much light or darkness and it cripples or defeats the jutsu." He described this minor lesson while they frantically tried to avoid the creatures. The two Ryoku had mentioned are now circling Kazumi for interfering while the remaining four all seemed to converged on Gen. Some coming in with overhead swings while the others lunging forward with their arms out.
Suiben [ Whip of Water ] 1/1
During this whole ordeal Ryoku formed suiton chakra into one of his free hands and formed a aquatic whip. Taking this whip he quickly cracked the newly formed weapon at the fireball that had gone unchecked since the shadow demons had dispelled before collision. The water whip quickly reached the side of the enlarged inferno. Causing the whip to crack loudly as it caused the fireball to mildly explode. The fire was not too bright to disturb the other shadow creatures but it was slightly distracting to anyone who was not already paying attention. Natural appearance

As he began his second assault during this more extreme test he was left in awe how dense his team member was. Not only did she stop his attack but even went as far as to scold him for trying to harm their instructor. Had she not noticed the large gash along his back from the shadow creature or was she blind as well. "You stupid Idiot!" He yelled at her not really having much time for chit chat while she began to handle two creatures herself. "I didn't ask for your help. An if you haven't notice he's trying to harm me!" He said before taking off running towards his left, Ryoku's right. While doing so Ryoku had created and cracked a large whip made of water, fighting against the fire that raged along the floor due to his fireball jutsu. The loud noise wasn't much he couldn't handle and he was already out of the way so the mild explosion that happened when he fought the fire didn't come close to him.
Running off throughout the area the shadows chased Gen, nipping at his heels before two of them cut him off. One went low while the other went high. Having time to react to one he immediately jumped into the arm. A long bladed shadow arm swiping just under his feet while another came down at a horizontal angle. Cutting the front of his shirt open his body crashed down against the floor hard. A bit of blood being coughed up for a moment before regaining his surroundings. The first two shadows came from behind him both aiming down at his torso. His eye's shut for a moment and the two impaled the object along the ground. When they moved back their clawed hands rested within one of the training dummies. He had used Substitution jutsu at the last second. His body rushing behind the first two Jumping up and spinning his heel came around trying to connect into the back of one of their heads now. He was met once more with a bladed hand slicing down at him. This time catching his leg barely ripping his clothes and causing more blood to flow out from his body. Gen dropped his right hand resting down along the ground. His breathing became deeper now as he looked at the four shadows beginning to surround him once more. Eye's bouncing back and forth between them trying to figure out something quickly.
While resting the shadows began to converge on him. Attacking once more like the very first two had. Splitting off and attacking from behind and from the front. Gen still wanted to go after Ryoku. Yes he had said that the jutsu would continue if he was dead, but was that true? He wondered, and yet he had to know. Gen looked over towards Ryoku, though this was on purpose. He had got him with one jutsu from before so maybe a second one would be sufficient. Smacking his hands together as if he was going to begin signing a loud clapping noise echoed throughout the room. Anyone that saw or heard Gen or for that matter watching the shadow creatures come for him would see this. The creatures gathered around him two from behind two from the front, one caught him along the shoulder cutting deep into the top of his shoulder. Another cutting his back up once more. But what really happened was that Gen had dodged the creatures, all their strikes were misses save for a few minor cuts and bruises that began to form along his skin. They were reacting to his movements, but they hadn't been fooled by his genjutsu. It was just anyone watching would see him being carved by the beings. Gen was beginning to suspect his teacher wasn't happy about something, but then again that was to be expected after him telling Gen that he needed to only survive. Fight or flight kicking in, and even though he was fighting fleeing might insure survival. Gen's heart raced now the pain in his back, chest and leg felt like a burn. His body ached from being slammed and he was almost out of breath. 'What now? I'm almost out of tricks, these things keep coming' He thought to himself while jumping around dodging. In the midst of their assault he turned and prepared another fireball before being met with two hands from two different creatures once more being slammed to the floor again.

Kazumi was less than impressed with her teammate, and even less enthused with having stuck her neck out to help him, and now he was yelling at her. Fine, he could be that way, she would deal with her demons, and let him suffer the consequences of his actions. She weaved a string of hand signs, focusing on the two demons that were focusing on her, she then slammed a foot onto the ground. The ground then formed a crater below one of the demons, and began to suck it down. It took a few moments, and it was clear that the demon struggled the entire time, screeching at Kazumi. After it was drug down, the darkness of the underground would dispel the demon, since there was no light to create a shadow for the demon to live.
While Kazumi was doing that, however, the second demon lunged for her, ready to impale her on it's long claws. She didn't have time to think, or react with a well thought out plan, instead she fell back to a fail safe. She used a single hand sign to be able to swap her body out with a large stone. The demon connected with the stone and the stone exploded, destroying the demon on contact. Kazumi looked on from her place, once more, in the rafters. She frowned when she heard the sound of really loud clapping, and watched as Gen seemed to have been harmed, to the point of death, by the demon-like shadows. Kazumi huffed and blew a stray bit of her raven hair from her face. She crossed her arms, and then formed a single hand sign, and used Kai, to dispel the genjutsu. What she saw confirmed her suspicions, Gen was relatively unscathed, as far as the most recent attempt on his life was concerned. She huffed slightly, but remained where she was, refusing to help someone who so clearly didn't want it, and was just as clearly an obvious a**. Ryoku did not have much time to react to the explosion he had blast its way into his ears. Moments later the glass and some debris had started falling from the roofing of the establishment. Making a hand sign he released the remaining shadow demons. Ending both their attack on the students and the genjutsu they had laced through the jutsu itself. The residual shadows they had quickly formed around Ryoku forming a large hawk like bird. Extending its wingspan over him to stop the falling debris. "Quick both of you, under here!" He was unure of what type of attack had now hit Konaha but he was prepared to defend his students if he felt they were not fully trained to his liking.

Being beaten down to the ground Gen breathed in and out heavily. His heart pounded in his chest as the blood continued to run down his back staining his shirt, his arm and leg did the same. His body moved down stumbling into a fetal position. His eyes began to close and all he could think of was what was going to happen. The shadow creatures closed in on Gen and raised their hands high before the loud crackling boom noise was heard. This shock Gen enough that his eyes shot open. A dark crimson red now stained his iris as a small black dot encircled the center of his eye. Looking around the room he watched as the shadow creatures quickly were disengaged from him. Looking over now his body turned rolling on his side staring at Ryoku. He moved quickly getting to his feet as he ran towards him. Taking shelter under his jutsu as the walls began to shake, his body still ached, and his wounds still bled. What was going on?

Kazumi didn't hesitate when Ryoku called for her and Gen to get under his shadow hawk jutsu. She dove right for it and rolled to a stop right beside her Sensei and teammate. She stood up carefully and watched the debris fall around them, "What on earth is going on?"

Hanako stepped into the Academy, her long snowy locks trailing behind her as she looked around. Such a fascinating place. She had originally planned on investigating the smoke, but saw others of higher rank go. She figured she would come here to brush up and learn. She tugged at her attire, adjusting it to cover her immense cleavage before she begn her search. She wasn't quite sure what to look for. Crystal blue eyes wandered the area, her delicate countenance a mask of serenity as she looked.
She didn't know anyone and she was slightly nervous, not that it showed on her face. Her cheeks were flushed slightly as she felt her heart beating. She needed to calm herself. She went to a window nearby and began to breath slowly. 'Okay, Hanako. Just breath. Let's start by looking for the Raigyo scrolls...' She went searching through, when she heard others talking of the Hokage's relocation to the Academia. She could get her headband. She looked longingly at the library and sighed. Headband first. Then return. She walks out silently and gracefully as she made her way to the Academia.

Shaking his head he exited from the safety of Ryoku's jutsu. Debris still falling as small bits of the roof fell. His hands came up shielding his head before he kicked the door opened. He stopped outside coughing a bit and looking down at his bleeding leg. While he stood in the streets several members of what he only could assume were ANBU members appeared roaming the village. They instructed him that the Hokage was safe and that his current office was actually under 'construction'. If he wanted information then he'd have to go to the Academia.
