The young man had settled himself comfortably, shifting on the loamy soil. When at last he was comfortable, he kept looking at his sister, while she replied. Sighing with shoulders like that, he bit his lip. "Nah... You're not left behind, I'd been stuck dealing with those old coots, I'd barely been able to get out for the work to do rise in the ranks," Raku told his sister, reaching a hand out, to set it upon hers. He couldn't be absolutely certain whether she would retract her hand or not. "I've been okay. In and out of home."

Tetsu made certain to adjust his own placement beside Maylee, before settling his head upon her lap gently, It remained generally level, so as to avoid any unwarranted jabbing. The gravel was disturbed loudly, and Raku just seemed to know. Their brother had already come back. His head turned in the direction of noise to see the gangly elder, seemingly beaten up pretty well. A cut that Raku made certain to note that only his brother would experience with ease. A solution he wished he could present. If Samuru was more like them... Shaggy hair flew in a variety of directions, as the middle child shook his head ferociously, willing the thoughts away.

"If she's okay, I don't see why not," Raki answered his brother with a nod. There was plenty to talk about. Everyone had spent a year apart, something they hadn't thought to do in ages. "What happened to us?" It was a question out of the blue, but he was certain they would all agree. Life had taken them in directions, when they had been so tightly knit.

Samuru settled himself to the ground as May and Raki gave their consent, folding his long legs under him to sit on his knees, hands on his thighs "...I've been...fine." he replied to May's inquiry, his gaze drifting between the two of them. Why? Why was he so different from them now? Before, they'd all looked identical with frizzy or fluffy dark hair, red/brown eyes that didn't see anything but each other. Looking at the two of them now....they still looked like siblings. Similar height, dark eyes, pale....his own hair had lightened to a brown, almost maroon color, and blue/brown eyes. The cut under his eye ached as he closed his eyes. Behind the lids he saw pink hair, soft lips..."What happened...." he opened his eyes, Samuru's tone pensive as he stared at the ground between them. He looked sad but resigned "Who knows...we all knew that growing up we'd have different...skills. Different personalities." he sighed and lifted a hand to brush his hand through his hair, lifting his eyes to look at them again "Different goals. When it happened...that's easy enough. It happened a year ago, a year passed without speaking to one another, without being near each other...like cutting our own hearts out with spoons and forks." he went back to looking at the ground pensively "The why is solely placed on my shoulders and I take the blame for it. I distanced myself from you, Raki, and you have suffered the heavy duty of dealing with those old farts alone. Maylee.....I pushed you away." he bowed his head, his back bending as he apologized to them both "I'm sorry. I....once again, I nearly caused the destruction of our family. Not through violence but through my own inattentiveness and self doubt." he straightened and looked at them directly, his eyes sharp "I've had enough of standing in the shadows and apologizing though. So that will be the last one you hear pass through my lips. I don't care about honor or duty anymore. You are my only family, my only siblings, and I will do what is necessary to keep you all safe." Samuru looked at Raki and a protective defiance grew in his eyes. The emotion hadn't been seen since before the revelation of his lack of bloodline, an actual brotherly emotion "Even if it means breaking that council of old bastards with my own hands."

"The finest steel has to go through the hottest fire."

Maylee fiddled with a pebble or two when the question was asked. What happened to us? Maylee looked at Rakuin from the corner of her eye but soon shifted them back to the gravel. She sat quietly as Samuru spoke. They all took different paths. More or less, she felt shoved into a path she didn't want to take. She shrank slightly at the thought of carving her own heart out with a spoon and fork. Colorful way of liking at such a thing. She looked up at Samuru as he spoke of taking blame onto himself. Distanced himself , causing Raku to take on the heavy duty of dealing with the old coots of their bloodline. Then he spoke her name, Maylee turned her head away slightly, looking at the eldest through the cascading dark hairs on hers. She flinched when Samuru said he pushed her away. She still felt sour to the topic. She kind of pushed it upon him to do such. She knew better but she had always known family stays together. She was worried for him the day he snapped at her. She looked at the rock she was twisting in her fingers as he apologized. She sat quietly for a moment. Could they start acting like a real family. Maylee looked at her eldest brother not sure if she was wanting to smile at him or of anything really. "You pushed me away, Samuru. You left me behind. You broke your promise to me and to dad." She spoke to him. Her eyes steady on his. "It's going to take time, but you're going to have to make it up to me to regain my trust again. You've done damage that not even an apology can make up for." She began with. "I'm going to except your words because you are family. But you have so much to make up for." Maylee lowered her head and twisted the rock still. She fell quiet again. "Soooo?" She started with. "Do we call close to our plans. Turn a new leaf over and try to live in Konoha even with the damage they've caused us? Or do we go through with it?" Maylee looked up at her brothers. Wanting to know if they were still going to go through with it or call ends to it all and end all their pain. She was starting to like Konoha again but stil held hatred towards them. "I...don't want to turn into Kein Uchiha." She shuddered in fear to what he had become over the year.

His brother sat down upon his knees nearby, and it seemed the time for reflection. They all looked so very different... Well, sort of. Raki had spent the last year looking the same ultimately, despite his growth. It seemed as though Tetsu had grown far more than he had in the last year, and that left envy for Raki. Everyone got to be different. Everyone got to change, and Raki was stuck dealing with the same routine. "You didn't do anything but lose your way a bit," the middle child listened to his siblings go about it. They'd gone on different paths, but it was time that they converge again. Time for them to be different, and grow. Yet, only Samuru had. "No fracture, we'd just stumbled is all..." It was a statement he spoke up ever so quietly.

The young man straightened up as Maylee spoke. She was still scorned yet, for having been pushed away. The two of them were closer than Raki could have been to Samuru, of course. The public eye made that impossible, after all. She accepted him for the most part back into the trio, despite telling him simply that he wasn't completely back in her good graces. Our princess of steel... he thought with a smirk, having delivered her wrought iron statement. Onward it moved into something they hadn't talked of much. The plan. "I will never call a close to this situation," the middle son snapped. The whole situation with Konoha had robbed them of all too much. He knew little of Kein Uchiha, besides how he had come from somewhere else. Whatever he had lost... He doubted that it could surmount to ripples that had been generated by the death of their father. His lavish childhood that he never got to keep. The full experience of the bonds he could have had with his siblings, and even the smile that had once lit up the household from their estranged mother--despite what their mother had become. "I'm glad you're still with me, Samuru. I want to bury this place beneath the earth, before grinding it away to dust. In the end, we've lost infinite possibilities at happiness." All the happiness they did have.

You really think I'm talking to you?

|
Yes...his siblings had steel in them, an iron grounding that was more bloodline then body. But as Samuru turned his gaze onto May, he remembered his own place. He was their older brother. And it was high time at least one of them remembered it "And who's the cause of my pushing you away? See your own faults and accept your fallibility, imooto." his voice was like icy darkness, cutting at the air as his eyes were hardened with anger "My promise to father was that I would protect you. Even from yourself. And I have done that and will continue to do that. With the both of you." he lifted his chin and looked at her with that same hard anger "Trust has nothing to do with our family. There is ONLY family. I am your niisan...and you will respect that." a curse word! From Samuru of all people "I told you....no more apologies. Making up, attempting to pascify....you sound like those shitty old men who rule your bloodline. Make up for your brother's faults, make up for your father's death, make up for your lack of family, position, home...When did you become so selfish? When did my imooto become so much more then melted steel? "...he turned back to look at Raki, his expression going cold again "We didn't lose it....it was taken from us. And we cannot take it back, not with the destruction of this village." he sighed, tilting his head as he breathed out "I've seen how the other villages are. Fighting amongst each other, not caring for their pride....the whole of the nation is infected with the same hubris that killed our father. The belief that we are all infallible." he looked at his siblings "It has to stop. Another family....it can't happen to another family. No more children torn by death. We end this village. Then....we end the world." where had this sudden and violent Samuru come from? What had happened to the quiet, soft and angry brother....he did not have steel in him. But sitting there, Samuru was made of steel, anger and hatred rising from him like a storm "No more broken families."

"The finest steel has to go through the hottest fire."

Maylee stared at Samuru with a gaze he had never seen. Iron burning in her eyes. "I was trying to help you and instead you yelled at me." She clenched her fingers around the rock. "We're both at fault then." She blinked and looked away as he continued to scold her. She didn't miss the scoldings. He was wrong about one thing. Trust was a big part about being family, it was one of many things. Her blood boiled when Samuru spoke about the old farts that rule her life. "I never asked for this bloodline!" She rose her voice at him finally. Maylee's voice carried in river area. Her hair had covered her face, her knuckles turned white. "You don't realize how lucky you are, Nii-chan." She spoke to Samuru. "You're free to run your life. Free to do things your way." She opened her hand. The rock had molded itself into a ball of iron. "Raku and I, we don't have freedom. We have to obey to the counsel." Maylee stood and looked up at Samuru. "I WILL watch this village burn, to gain my freedom from those old men." She threw the metal ball at a bolder causing a smoking crater to be. She turned to her brothers. Maylee sat back down, she began rubbing her hands as she felt the iron rushing. She hated it when ever she got anger. "We can do anything if we just stick together." She mumbled before looking at Samuru. She thought of her actions that day. She wanted to help him instead he sought help in the girl, Jae. Maylee looked at her callused and rough hands, she spent most her days in the last year working at their father's work shop. ...I'll talk to him alone.... She looked at Raku from the corner of her eyes. ...I have to fix things, but not around Raku-nii... She looked back at her hands. "I don't want to be a broken family anymore." The youngest of the three spoke up, fighting back the tears that pushed forward. She knew how broken they were. She had lost her home, her older brother, her loving parents, She was tired of living alone. Maylee brushed her face as tears slipped away. "I want my old life back."

The middle child kept his head down for the first part of Samuru's speech, which wasn't directed to him in essence. Promises were valuable to family, and there was deliberation it seemed on who it was at fault, for a promise made to their father. The two were exchanging heated words, and before he turned back to Rakuin. His position was clear on who was the enemy, but it seemed that Samuru had gone and made it a lot more wide. The world? His brother continued on his tirade and in essence, it made sense.
No more broken families, and Konoha would be razed. Crushed. If he could, he'd bring salt to make certain nothing would grow again.
Was the world really like that? Surely there was some place that valued bonds like family as the trio did. That's what would be his next objective. Locate someplace they could live in, and defend it as their father had Konoha. A golden age, no one could be as cruel as the leaf. "No more broken families," Raki agreed simply, while Maylee spoke of their domineering clan. They experienced something so much more confined than even Samuru, but that was known.

"Maylee, we'll find our sky, once we escape this prison," the middle child told his younger sister, resolve affirmed by their encounter. He nodded to Tetsu. The ram rose to its feet and stepped lazily over to Rakuin. "To do that, we must gain power. Renown. Sway, and rip the foundations out from underneath it, so that any chance to rebuild is shaken." He approached his sister, and gingerly kissed her cheek. "I must be going though. Practice and grow strong. I've got some missions to run." Raki nodded to his brother. Whatever Samuru had in mind, the three would have to gather and speak of things more defined. He turned again, and began to follow the trees back to the village.

Samuru scowled at Maylee, amazed slightly at how she could twist what had happened. He hadn't pushed her away for trying to help. He'd pushed her away for the words she'd said...He ignored her rant about the bloodline. It was a weak and pathetic excuse and he wasn't going to bother with pointing that out. As Raki stood to leave, Samuru just nodded. As they were left alone, he glared at his sister, his lips pressed tightly "You didn't try to help. You did something very different. SAID things very different. But it doesn't matter now..." he stood and glared down at her "We're going on a mission. You and I. Right now. You want to make me repent, force me to. Show me you deserve it. Come on." he walked past her, not offering to help her up. It was time they all put aside their own petty angers with their life. Soon, it wouldn't matter "We're going to Gimangakure."

Maylee sat quietly as Raku left. Didn't look at Samuru as he scowled at her further. "Clearly we saw things differently." She mumbled under her breath. She stood up and shoved her hands into her pants pocket; following after her eldest brother she was once so close too.

”To live in each current moment,”

Without warning, Terra burst onto the scene, a good amount of sweat broken out on her as she had sprinted straight from the gates to the forest and now to the river. With a quick scan of her eyes across the entire field, she noticed no shinobi in her immediate vision. None-the-less she began a full scan of the river.

Noticing a few stragglers here and there as she made her way through all of it, she ordered them to evacuate. She jumped under the water, the coolness a welcome relief as she grabbed stragglers out of the water. It was a shame to interrupt their day, but the need was obviously there.

Continuing to scour the area, Terra looked over every inch. Ensured of the evacuation of the entire area, Terra smiled. She then blurred on to her next destination.

Currently unaware of the situation that the word to evacuate was being spread, Jun had returned to the office and had then headed down to the river. After she had returned to the office with the information on the missing person in question, Jun had been ordered to check out the man's last known location. Upon arrival, the area seemed eerily quiet, there wasn't anyone here, not anyone here for a stroll or even anyone fishing or wading in the water. That wasn't incredibly odd, but it was still odd none the less.

[Post 1/4]

Since it was her job to find clues, the shinobi began strolling along the bank to see if she could piece together what had happened to Tachibana's brother. There really wasn't much to see so far, it was why she walked slowly and kept her eyes to the ground. Some trash here and there, foot prints and grass disturbed, but nothing that looked suspicious yet. While Jun did seem like a slacker and unable to do anything serious, this wasn't something that Jun would let slide. She was actually focused now and she was determined to go over everything in sight as carefully as possible.

[Post 2/4]

Trash, trash, more trash and pocket change, nothing that was really valuable. It didn't seem as if there was much that she could go on, she had a physical description but how would she be able to find any of his personal belongings? Some sort of identification might be good... something like that would be hard to drop though, not unless the man was clumsy. Jun had walked along one side of the bank and was now covering the other side. Although this side was not yielding much information either, just more things left behind by normal people passing by.

[Post 3/4]

Just when it seemed as if there was nothing left for it, Jun seemed to have found something. It was hard to tell exactly... but the foot prints on the muddy bank seemed... odd. It was sort of like a couple of different foot prints were going around in a circle and mud was being shifted... like if someone was being pushed back or trying not to move. There was definitely some sort of struggle from the looks of it, maybe this was why Tachibana's brother had gone missing... he'd been kidnapped.

Documenting what she had found, Jun headed away from the river and back to the main office to report on what she had found.

Arriving just before his students, Masahiro was already settled into the knoll beside the river. He stood upon a tree's middling level branches, staring across the field for a sign of the circles they had been alerted to. His eyes settled on the waterfall in the distance, noting that the grass nearby had been flattened somewhat he took that to note. Climbing a little further into the tree he cast his eyes down field once more. He could see signs of something in the midst of the broken grass.

"Interesting, I wonder what it is they designed over there?" He questioned as he tried to reach out and investigate better, the tall grass preventing him from discerning it entirely.

Arriving ahead of the other's Jun, didn't spot Masahiro, but then again she wasn't looking very hard. Instead she mosied over to the tree the silver haired jounin was staying in and leaned against the trunk. There really wasn't much else to do at this point aside from waiting for everyone else to show up.

Arriving at the base of the river's base she began to lazily walk the path beside the familiar waters. It didn't take her long to find the one named Jun standing beside a tree. Making a mental note of the location of the one who followed Masahiro she continued on looking for a little while. With no luck finding her Sensei she worked her way back to Jun. Cam was on the other side of the river so a crossing was needed. Taking off her shoes and holding up the bottom of her Kimono, Cam crossed the river at the shallowest point she could. She managed to only get a small part of her feet wet as she had been able to tip-toe over the rocky bed. Putting her shoes beside another tree she sat down with her book in hand. "Any luck finding Masahiro?" she asked the other. Normally she wouldn't ask but she found it of some measure of importance to find him. While waiting for a reply she began to read from the wind section of her book.

Not being left alone for long, the sound of someone crossing the river could be heard. It wasn't quite noticeable, a bit of splashing as toes dipped into the water. Glancing over to the river, she could see the person approaching was a student from the academy. "I haven't looked for him. He's around here somewhere I'm sure. Up this tree, around in the tall grass... he'll show up when he wants to." replied Jun, shrugging her shoulders lightly.
