"Funny, you always struck me as excessively sane." Rune replied with a smirk while drying the last of the dishes he'd been watching. "Or is this part of your plot to repay me that you seem so set to do?"

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Not really, but can you blame me for wanting to repay you? Most would never consider lending someone such as I a place to stay without coin or other nefarious means."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Well you've just been around all the wrong people. I admit, much of the world has lost its sense of generosity, but I promise it hasn't always been like that. Of course it just be the elven race that's so friendly." Rune mused. "None the less, I'm afraid I'm going to remain stubborn on the matter."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Or maybe you're just the only truly nice person there is." Ashen admittably looked a little jaded as she spoke those words, even despite the smile she now kept. Considering the people she'd met and the horrible wishes she'd been granting/sabotaging over the years, is one truly surprised?

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"I don't think I'm that rare. I think you've just had bad luck with people over the years. I don't know where you've been to meet such less than pleasant people, but I can say the people here are better than that. Sure, you have a few bad apples like Nale, but no village is perfect."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"I will believe that when I see it." Ashen couldn't see how Rune could come to such a conclusion about the villagers, especially considering who they were and how clueless they had been of the land's previous inhabitants.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Well, it seems you'll have plenty of time to figure that out while you're repaying your friend." Rune said when he smiled brightly with an idea. "Since we both seem stubborn about this, here's an idea. If I continue to be the only man in this village worth a damn, then I'll let you repay me however you see fit. If you manage to find someone else capable of a good deed every now and then, then you have to concede to not repaying me for letting you stay here and everything. The deadline is you repaying your friend for your debt."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Sounds like a good wager to me." Ashen laughed, certain that she would be the victorious one. "Don't be too bitter when you lose."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"I'm insane, remember? I think we've come to the conclusion I don't do bitter." Rune said with a laugh.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Considering how much that confuses me, I might be saner than I thought."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Never mind then. I'll just have to hope you don't find your friend any day soon then, no offense." Rune said with a smile.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"We'll see about that." Let the games begin!
