"Yes, I think I'm just getting into the final stages of all this..." Lucian said as he traced the black scars that branded his chest. "Hopefully it doesn't get much worse than this." he said as groped around for his shirt.

Scarlet quickly grabbed Lucian's shirt and handed it to him. "If there's anything I might be able to do to help make things more comfortable 'til we fix this problem, let me know."

Lucian just shook his head with a faint smile as he pulled on his shirt. "I don't think there's anything you can do. Nothing that would help physically, at least. You're here, and that's about all I can ask of you."

"I didn't mean physically. There's nothing I can do there, I know. But I can help lessen the pain, give you a listening ear when you need it. A positive mindset usually helps when things go sour, lessens the pain and all that. I just wanted to say that if you need anything to that effect, I'll do whatever you need me to." Scarlet rambled somewhat.

Lucian seemed to be thinking something over for a moment before reaching out to search for Scarlet. His hand found her arm and then slowly made its way up to her shoulder, and then higher still. Careful not to scratch her with his new claws, he gently caressed her cheek and just held it there for a moment. His thumb moved down next to her mouth and there it stayed as he moved closer. His thumb left her face briefly, guiding Lucian's face in closer still until he gently pressed his lips against hers in a sweet kiss. "You're here. That's all I need."
((All this romance I rp; have I perfect the art of kissing/confessions of love yet?))

Scarlet's eyes widened considerably as her face heated up to an entirely new shade of red. His actions weren't sudden, but she hadn't been expecting them nevertheless. She didn't really take all that long to recover, instead offering him yet another smile he couldn't see as she rested her forhead lightly against his. "...and I always will be."

{Starting with the next group RP I make, assuming I do one any time soon that isn't invite-only, I'm going to go ultra-b***h with the rules. For srsly.
Also, before I start making anything for the Ancestors RP, can I brain-storm starter situations with you? I'd rather be able to start with a decent post and keep things going than to just start calm and plop out of existance when everyone ignores me.}

Lucian had to get himself a good cloak the moment they reached the next town. For one thing his features would've given him away as a demonic entity, but also due to the wanted posters that now decorated the town walls. His parents had put out posters asking for his return, with a picture from when he still lived at his manor, and the more recent wanted posters from the religious town calling for his death. It had become increasingly difficult to move around and he was running out of time. In the back of his mind he was just waiting for someone to catch him, though they might've been confused as to what to do with him.

Scarlet had become increasingly protective of Lucian, and became less and less willing to discuss the negative possibilities - seeming fully convinced that they wouldn't come to pass or at the very least wouldn't be as bad as Lucian feared. It was really all she could do to keep from panicking.
