Meaning/Translation/Origin: Ancient greek, "the jealous one," a fury, she is the mythological cause of envy. Daughter of Acheron, who shares the name of a river on which Phlegyas ferried spirits to Dante's interpretation of hell. Also Phlegyas was entombed in a rock by Megaera.

Who is Megaera?
She's one of Phlegyas' youngest daughters (by one of his slaves) and never felt that demon-y, which is why she was secretly relieved at the disbanding of the demons. She's still desperate for her father's approval and would do anything for it. Her sister, Delphi, who came to the Stormborn with them, despises her and does anything to make her feel less-than. While Delphi is a Reaver now with her sights set on being a Captain someday, Megaera is fine with her Freeborn status. Maybe she'd be a priestess someday.
