11-20: You did great! Either you took some training in the Seacraft or you're just a natural! Regardless, you manage to haul in a net full of nothing but delicious silverfish. The delicacy will make some good eating! Yum, yum yum. +10 points
Yo ho yo ho, a fisher's life for meeee! Well, maybe not. Wione grimaced as the rough fibers of the net slid against her tough riding gloves—which she'd been sure to grab and wear, keen to protect her soft hands. But they worked, and it made dragging the nets... well, tolerable. The fish still stank and the work wasn't fun or glamorous at all, but that was okay. She seemed shockingly good at it, and let out a whoop of delight at the sight of shimmery silverfish in this net! Ohh, she was going to be SURE to get herself some of that once dinnertime came!
91-100: You decide to take a chance not on the water, but by hunting and scavenging on the beach itself. It seems to be successful! +5 points.
4. While hunting the beach, you you find a newly hatched baby firelizard! The hungry being demands tribute, and you have no choice but to give in! Thankfully, you have a few snacks stashed to ensure this little flit doesn't go hungry. Well, this is an unexpected surprise... Roll a D20 to see what color, and Quote Uta!
1-9. Green
Oh. Oh no. X stared down at the tiny, pitiful, creeling creature for several long moments of silence. A scrawny, fresh-hatched little firelizard that... where was the nest? Why was there not a flock to...? Maybe it was from a green's abandoned clutch? It cried and cried at their feet, neck arched, mouth open wide, begging... They didn't. Couldn't... A stab of pain thrust at their heart, mental flashes of gold and then blue, two sets of whirling rainbow eyes that faded to dull gray-white... They shouldn't... It would surely be yet another death-sentence... But the baby was screeching, demanding... would die without food as well, right...?
Before they could rationalize the choice, they found themselves down on one knee, a hand extended, and a bit of dried fish already being offered and summarily devoured.

Cast, reel, pull. Cast, reel, pull. Throw the net. Throw the net. Drag it in. Drag it in. The rhythm of fishing was soothing for Raen, and now in the second week of the Weyr's efforts, she felt like she was getting the hang of it. Her lines more often than not brought in something, and her nets were typically at least half full. Perhaps it was because she'd grown up in a hold on one of the smaller islands around... or perhaps it was just her drive to give her all for the Weyr. Regardless, the tall woman was more than happy with yet another catch of tasty fish to feed everyone!
81-90: The line snaps and slices your hand right open. Ouch! Not only did you lose the haul, but you now have to visit the healers and get the wound dressed. Roll a D4 to see how severe your damage is! -5 points
3. The wound wasn't terrible, but it becomes infected! This will prevent you from fishing for a sevenday [skip the next week's rolls].
Ilauria did her best not to cry as the healers dressed the wound. It was a clean slice, they'd said when it had happened, the line snapping and slicing across her hand... but the trouble with it being from a fishing line was that there was salt and grit and fishy oils on it when it had cut her, it seemed. Now a day later, the wound was red and tender, pulsing with her heartbeat and certainly infected. It would be fine, the healers assured her... with proper rest.
51-60: As you're preparing to run your net, you discover that the beach is swarming with spiderclaws. You decide the fish can wait, and instead, start gathering the shelled creatures. That's good eatin'! You are successful and able to bring back quite the haul! +15 points
Mesikath was quite amused to spy his rider chasing after spiderclaws. After a few affronted pinches, trying to throw them into his basket B'jor swore at them onto the sand. He was already imaging the shelled creatures slathered in butter, or perhaps boiled into a hearty soup - it was hard to play complete attention. His stomach driving him, he scooped them up into a water filled bucket instead with an accomplished grin on his face as he brought back the quite robust haul.

Shalbyath pointed them out first. Her queen honking with delight at the tasty little urchins scurrying amongst the empty shells on the beach line. Together they picked out the largest, most delectable looking spiderclaws to fill their net.

Haitanth wasn't exactly sure how Sivu functioned without him honestly. Haitanth was enjoying the waves. Occasionally helping to suggest places to place their net, enjoying the damp sand between his claws. It was maybe a few moments he hadn't had his attention glued to Sivu that he decided to cut his entire hand.. His judgmental energy was palatable as Sivu grimaces his way through his hand being wrapped.

Healer roll lmao, Sivu baby why is this so typical for you
Oh-ho! You're in luck! You wind up finding some sea wherry and manage to hunt one down successfully! Thank Faranth--some real meat that isn't fish!
White meat! Not fish! It wasn't a juicy buck like D'emi had been craving, but it looked wonderful. D'emi was no hunter nor ranger, but with Scrandanfibrith's help it was soon dangling limp in her claws and cached along with the rest of the days haul.
Aquiel of blue Kepalath With muscles like Aquiel it was easy to get an enormous barrel of spiderclaws. He watched them snap and try to climb each other to escape with a satisfied grin. "None of that now boys," he closed the lid to them and sealed their fate. It was a good spot, he'd be back to pick the beach clean while his shy little blue watched from above the water.
