"So it worked Bloop?" Toso would say satisfied but uncertain on the balcony as the howling of the storm rose once more. Chances are it was a fluke but his dreary state was attributing his taunt not at individuals hidden but rather at the storm itself. Toso was an open minded individual. The obvious conclusion would be there was a nin or more among them while the deluded conclusion was the storm itself was the monster they were after. Toso began to recall tales of old that had been read to him of the Yokai. He'd never once seen a yokai but the unnatural setting reminded him of the ideal conditions for a Yuki-onna.
His time on the balcony was bittersweet. Both fruitful and uneventful. He may or may not have coaxed the storm to resume but no traces or indications of possible connections to other sources presented itself. The squid boy would bite his tongue metaphorically. From the sensory technique, Miko would find nothing outstandingly obvious. About ten ANBU littered the tower, including the three she'd been following before she stopped to use her sensory abilities. All ten were of moderate strength, except for one near the top of the tower, who stood out above other. She'd also pick up on Toso's chakra, and a few small signatures of non-shinobi workers in the buildling. The only other thing of note was that the tower seemed to be encased in a small amount of chakra.
However, from her proximity to where the ANBU had gone, she would hear a muttered, "s**t..." from one of them.
Toso would find the ANBU beside the doors silently watching him, but he still hadn't moved from his post. So long as the genin wasn't being a threat, there was no need to. Besides that, nothing eventful happened.
Cold, bitter cold. So far worse than what they usually experienced in the Land of Leaves, but here he was, a lone Kono-nin in the mountain village, amid the frozen storm. He chuckled at the irony of it as he continued to track the footsteps of those that came before him. Sighing he picked up the trail after stepping over a recently formed snow drift, eyes scanning steadily for any other chakra signatures or trails. The building he traveled to was larger than he initially expected and he hadn't seen the kid he was following, thus he hoped the boy had made it safely inside.
The Hokage continued his trek along the path until he reached the tower, his eyes focusing on the building itself and the odd chakra signature that was flowing from it. Pulling his cloak in tighter he pressed forwards until he was outside the doorway.

It was bloody cold. Honsho darted through the snow, trying to keep warm as she made her way to the Raikage's building and her boots left slight indents in the snow as she ran. The academy had closed due to the storm but it had been before her twin sister could get her own graduation acknowledgement. Despite that, Himito had insisted at least one of them go get a headband and warn the Kage they were joining. Hon disagreed with her wording. Faltering as she saw someone standing outside the building, Hon came to a stop a few feet behind the man. No curiosity in behavior from the anbu. He was stalwart. It was almost suspicious to a degree that he wasn't at least reprimanded for his action of causing physical damage to the Raikage's door. In fact it was almost haunting as if the anbu were an emotionless mannequin. Toso would begin stretching his hand outwardly about to touch the Anbu's face in a curiosity of whether or not the figure before him was actually an illusion or a figment manifested from his still exhausted and recovering state.
Before his hands would make contact with the Anbu, most likely in a way that would have annoyed him or her greatly, two grey visages formed in the Squid boys peripheral vision. A man and a woman at the entrance of the Raikage's door. The Raikage wasn't present not even his clone. The entirety of the tower was in a state of evacuation and alert. Toso would take it upon himself to inform these individuals.
A normal person would have used the stairs but Toso was no normal person. He would throw his arms outwards attaching to a nearby structure. He'd then use this method to find himself safely landing behind the two individuals his face obscured. He'd be able to use this same method to rendezvous with Miko when her presence would become visible.
A resounding "Bloop" Would sound behind the two individuals as the Genin's water dripping like quirk made itself known. "Your presence may be poorly timed bloop. Right now the Raikage's tower is in a state of alert. Bloop and the Raikage and his clone are M. I . A at the moment bloop." Toso's provided information and calm presentation would end with him noticing two pillar like structures at the entrance. They were covered in snow. He did not remember these on his arrival. In fact weren't where these pillars stood where the anbu were stationed? Perhaps the eyes of the two arrivals would remain honed on the strange squid like individual as he used a paintbrush to brush away the snow. Upon doing so Toso would jump back in shock and surprise. These 'pillars' were the Anbu. Frozen Solid.

Hon stiffened and spun like a top to face the odd and weird noise making man who had appeared behind herself and the other man. His face was so hidden she couldn't make out a single detail in the storm but her own pale skin was very red in the cheeks and stood out in this storm "Poorly timed?" she mimicked unintentionally, her startled state keeping her from being anymore coherent. The cold wasn't helping either and she started to hop from one foot to the other as the strange blooping man moved away from them and over to some statues. Following him with small one footed hops through the snow, Hon came up behind Blooping man to try and redeem her startled response with an actual question "Where are we suppos-" her words were cut off by a squeak when the Blooping man revealed the statues to be former people. Shoving her knuckles into her mouth to prevent any further undignified noises, Honsho immediately started moving furiously. Pulling her legs up in high knee jerks as she fought to keep warm and to NOT end up like these poor souls "Those are anbusicles." she whispered, her gallows humor blunting the horror she was feeling right now. Had the storm caused this? Her eyes got huge and she blinked before looking up at the Blooping man, opalescent eyes scared "Did the storm cause this?" she asked, her voice shaking just slightly.
"Most likely." A smooth baritone voice escaped from under the scarf and hood, sharingan eyes looking out from underneath the hood of his cloak to take in the view of the woman and the odd blooping man.
"I ran across another one of these on the way here, frozen stiff, no ability to help them right now. There is something off about the tower. It is... Covered in chakra." Masahiro stated as his eyes whirled their two tomoe while he stared the building over for a moment.
"There are more survivors over at the Academy. I chased out after a young red haired man, to make sure he didn't freeze to death. I'm guessing by what I am seeing here that he didn't come into the tower and I followed the wrong tracks?" The Hatake questioned as he looked to the two children there with himself.

Toso shook like something gelatinous as he was akin to doing in moments of uncertainty. The girl would inquire the cause of the freezing blight but Toso was uncertain if it truly was the storm that had caused the anbu to freeze. The answer would come from the man nearest her, but even then he was only stating speculation. The arms of the boy stretched outward as he provided his two cents. "I can't say for certain bloop. The storms behaviour is unnatural bloop. Before you arrived it had calmed bloop.
Red haired boy? This sat strangely in Toso's stomach. He'd hoped the boy in question wasn't Axel who had gotten himself caught up in an unfavorable situation. He only came to this conclusion from people saying Axel had red hair taking into account Toso wouldn't know on account of his color blindness. If it was Axel then no, Toso had certainly not seen him arrive but he couldn't answer the man's question honestly as he could not distinguish colors. "Bloop I cannot tell you for certain if a red haired boy found refuge here Bloop. I am color blind and as a result all hair appears the same to me in terms of color."
When the man pointed out a chakra emanating from the tower Toso found that an odd tidbit of information. He was unaware of the Sharingan the man carried an was curious as to how this man knew. From where he was from such Dojutsu and Kekkai Genkai were completely foreign to him. "Currently a fellow sensor nin of mine is leading the current inhabitants of the tower to safety bloop and more than likely gathering details bloop."
The girls dance would now come to Toso's attention it seemed she wasn't aptly dressed to combat the cold like himself who was sporting layer upon layer. "All in all I bloop I would believe it safer inside most likely than out here if it was truly the storm that caused these anbu to freeze in place." Toso would open the door it's hinges near frozen shut. The ground level was eerily silent and empty as the wind of the storm began to flow inside. Toso would make the arm movements to suggest they enter before the tower filled with more snow and cold air. "My accomplice along with several of the anbu should be up a few flights of stairs bloop. I'll rendezvous shortly bloop."

Honsho was not comforted by any of what the men were saying. People being frozen to death and red haired men running around in storms that were unnatural. Pulling her shoulders up, Hon kept her wide eyed gaze going between the two and felt a desperate gladness that her twin was safely somewhere else. She really wished she was there as well "If the storm is causing this, what about the rest of the village?" she asked even as the Blooping man moved to open the door. She doubted anything except whatever he was wearing could withstand this cold and, even though she wanted her question answered, Hon quickly darted into the building. It was mildly warmer inside and she ran her hands down her thighs, trying to warm them up through the leggings. They were fleece lined and warm but too thin to stand up to this weather. Her shorts didn't help either and neither did the leg warmers around her calves and ankles. Straightening immediately at the Blooping man's last comment, she stepped forward hesitantly "Hold on a sec, mister. What are you going to do?" she asked, her brow furrowed. It was all well and good to just say go find random accomplices in an empty building but simply going up wasn't really direction "Why aren'tcha coming inside too?" Hon didn't know about the other man but she had negative to zero desire to wander around the empty and very cold Raikage's building with it's frozen bodies and weirdness.
"He's survived this far, don't worry after him. If there are others inside here, you need to find them and see if you can find some warmer clothes. I've got to find that boy and make sure he doesn't freeze over like the ANBU here." Masahiro said as he turned and looked out into the snowstorm.

"Bloop do be careful stranger." Toso would express a mild concern for the man of whose identity remained unknown to him. His adamance to wait for this red haired boy was an admirable one. Hopefully his constitution was hardy enough to endure the cold. As the girl entered she imposed the question of whether or not he'd be joining her. This question would be answered by the boy shutting the door behind him. The air of the lobby was ominous, windows frozen over and not a soul in sight. The tall looming individual that seemed friendly would produce an aura slightly unsettling when put beside the current atmosphere. His eyes were blank like Hyuuga behind a pair of fogged glasses.
He'd raise his arm as it wavered back and forth in the common mesmerizing metronome like cadence he usually would do. The sleeves of the man's outfit like drapes making his arms and hands invisible underneath their cloth exterior. "Well now what I'm going to do now bloop. Is eat you bloop, for I and my brethren are Yokai that hail from frigid regions with an insatiable craving for human flesh bloop." The boys glasses would give a momentarily terrifying glint as if to say everything he said was absolutely serious. After whatever reaction the girl would provide he'd reassure her it was all in good fun. "I kid bloop." Still Toso sounded incredibly convincing and his joking around could be defined as 'not cool'.
"I intend to rendezvous with my ally Bloop but first I intend to investigate the ground floor more thoroughly Bloop. After finding those frozen Anbu I think mayhaps there may be clues here bloop." Toso's current investigation of the upper floors yielded very little. He hoped that now with the mass of people evacuated from the first floor it would coax the perpetrators to reveal themselves. Essentially he was using himself and quite possibly the girl as bait. It was almost beneficial that the man outside was positioned where he was as no doubt he'd be able to signal of any happenings outside the tower. Staring at the stranger, Honsho felt like smacking something. It wasn't out of anger but out of the sheer frustration of her own fear "You freezing isn't helpful either!" she called out just as the Blooping man closed the door to cut out some of the cold. She leaned back abruptly at the sudden awareness of how ridiculous she was behaving and how very furious her sister was going to be with her. Honsho was making a massive assumption that this man, that either of the men, was an aid and not an enemy "Uhm...." her response was, once again, very intelligent as the Blooping man proclaimed himself a yokai that was going to eat her. Her eyes still very wide but now she seemed...was that a giggle? She bit her knuckles as he said he was kidding, Honsho tried to keep her voice firm and scolding "Yokai are not real. And that was not funny." she said in an overly stoic nature. That broke into a more somber acknowledgement of what was going on as Blooping man stated his true intentions "I have no skills right now but I'll wait with you. I can't go anywhere now anyway...." Honsho glanced at the doors again and pulled her arms in tighter to her, fingers stuck under her arms to keep them warm "I'm Honsho, by the way." she offered him a tiny nod, still stamping her feet to keep warm. And to keep from becoming like the anbusicles outside regardless of whether that helped or not.

✰ Exhaling through her nose and seeing the breath as she'd peel open her eyes which almost seemed as if they'd freeze shut from the cold Miko would look over to her clone and release it taking in what it observed as she'd focused on her Sensing. Whatever was going on with the weather seemed to be real enough to elude her sensory technique unavailing it, and there was a blanket of chakra around the tower. If this had always been there then it was news to Miko since she'd never noticed it before. Given the circumstances it left her to assert the idea that the parties involved in this weather and the attack on the Anbu were involved in this. Stepping back some as she'd thought through what she'd noticed She'd form a few more hand signs to kneel down and touch the stair case. If whatever attacked them moved with any form of logic if some part of it held chakra to be sense and came up the stairs Miko would know. That should cover the stairs, but what about Tosokurui... The sound of the winds from the continued blizzard masked his actions. Though she did notice that the winds seemed to be seeping indoors due to someone opening up a balcony somewhere. The Anbu, the stranger with a mass of chakra, and the raikage an several others all seemed to come into play, but the approaching stranger seemed to stop at the confrontation of Tosokurui. Miko had no knowledge of the words they traded but from the temporary moment of their meeting and then the new chakra signature simply turning about to head back into the snow. It seemed like Toso was not draw into a battle by this ones presence.
With the staircase tagged and her concerns for Toso somewhat avoided she'd follow behind the previous verbal call from the anbu ahead. glare through the bundle of fur she'd wrapped her self in snagged from Toso's person Miko would break into a jog to their location. 10 anbu, yet one stands out at the top, though aren't I just assuming their all anbu? I don't know their names, nor do I have history with any one of them in particular. Only one I know is the idiot who went outside for reasons I can't even imagine. People frozen in a instant, and a secretary who's still an asset on the layout of this place. If not with other asset to said information. We regroup and then sweep the halls and collect everyone to one productive motive...Jamming up whomever is F$#$ing with us. Entering behind the Anbu Miko would sense them before laying her eyes on them. Still tense and trying to stay on her toes about collecting herself and information Miko wasn't sure of what they'd found in the room where the screams came from but she was sure it wasn't anything good.
((OOC: Common Tao you know my sensory technique gives me a little more than just that. If I can sense the the chakra around the tower then i can sense its chakra nature(s), also if the freezing's a jutsu that's being activated sporadically through the mist then I'd sense that too even at a distances from the other places it might happen unless blocked. If not, then I've got a clue, don't I. also can you place where them anbu at or where the most dense collection of civilians are~. Civilians lives mattering and all the extra little bits make it a lot easier to narrate without stepping on toes. If I've got free reign~ though on collected info just give me the green-light. "Tōsokurui Ashi Hojo Bloop. I go by either Tosou or Toso whichever you prefer via how you wish to pronounce it. Bloop. I hail from the land of Tea. More particularly the coast of. Bloop. Ah..." After introductions were exchanged Toso decided to analyze the room. There was nothing that stood out differently to him and this bothered him. Not only that but there was no sign of movement...well aside from Honsho's hopping. Toso would begin looking behind the desk and other areas whilst he spoke to Honsho. "Bloop I wouldn't discredit yokai Honsho. They say some tales stem from more than just creativity."
In addition to his scouring for clues Toso was looking for something to perhaps aid the girl who was deeply chilled. Unfortunately this came to no avail. It seemed the residence of the Tower had gathered what they could. With a disheartened sigh Toso would walk up to Honsho and do something sudden an unexpected. Toso unzipped his coat opening it almost in a majestic manner as it revealed he had a layer of thermals beneath and the coat was lined with fluffy insulation. The temptation of warmth would glow singing a siren song as for the moment his person seemed to shine like a deity descending from the heavens to offer food and shelter. Of course Honsho would have to have been pretty desperate to even consider hunching herself against the man she knew nothing about and barely met to be swallowed by the coats warming embrace. Toso wouldn't be making such foolhardy proclamations if he weren't so tired. Still the man outside? Was he okay, and what he said? Survivors at the academy?
