The clone of the Hokage sat behind the desk, looking out over the village. His crimson eyes scanning the Academy and the Dojo courtyards, wherein he saw a glimpse of several students and a few different instructors, including at one point, the former Hokage, Ryoku Nara, training. His lips curled into a slight smirk as he watched the further growth of his village. Suddenly he felt something at his chest, a flutter of chakra and a puff of smoke, from underneath his shirt. A letter materialized from within the smoke and forced itself against the interior of his shirt, forcing him to unbutton the fabric and reach underneath to retrieve it. His eyes scanned over it and he saw a simple name, Bast. Eyes opening wide as he read the rest of the message he looked down to the contents of the letter. Sunagakure needed supplies?
His mind ran aflutter with many different possibilities, but he held firm in his immediate thought. If this letter had just arrived through a reverse summon, than Bast was still alive and able to send it. Stepping around to the other side of his desk he placed his thumb to his teeth and cut the flesh, a drop of blood bubbling forth which he would press to the seal upon his breast to summon the woman from her homeland to his.
When she had been given a moment to recuperate from the sudden shock of being summoned across the nations, his cold calculating eyes fell to hers.
"You sent for supplies and assistance, tell me, my friend, what is going on?" He asked as his hand reached out to hers, in their traditional greeting.

Bast popped into the Office rather noisily, appearing in a sitting position in a location where there wasn't a chair. Her wet feet slid out from under her, but she barely avoided hitting the floor by grabbing onto the side of the desk.
"Not the best timing," she complained as she picked herself up and settled into one of the chairs.
She smelled of dirt, wood shavings, perfumed waters, and death. Her feet were bare and soaking wet up to the ankles, though this became less apparent as she rolled her pants down again. Thankfully, the Hokage gave her a moment to orient herself: a deep breath was needed to clear out the stress of being summoned so suddenly.
"We had a bit of a bug problem," she began much more calmly, checking around the room for anyone who might be listening. "It got out of hand. We'll be burying bodies for months, if not years. ...I don't mean to be rude, but is there a pair of sandals I could wear, and maybe a towel? I was meditating next to the hot springs until a few moments ago, and I don't want to track water all over the building."
Masahiro nodded and pulled a pair of sandals from the wall, before grabbing a towel from the suite off the side of his office. Walking to Bastet he handed her these things with a nod, motioning for the doorway.
"Bug problem, did something happen to the host of Choumei? Did my seals falter on the young man?" The Hokage asked as he caught the scent of Demonic Chakra on his old friend.
"You mentioned needing Wood and Food supplies, well, we've got quite a bit of lumber reserved for your village currently. Senju infused wood, no less, so it can handle some level of chakra absorption. Food, we're not hurting for, but it will take some preparations to get more set aside for you. I'll definitely have to get some of my people into advanced farming practices. But given a short amount of time, we can have a regular flow in assistance for you after some hands have gotten out to the fields." Masahiro spoke as he motioned towards the doorway and the stairwell.
"I'd be remiss to warn you, I'm just a shadow clone of myself, Bastet. I'm actually training students over in the Academia of Artistic Pursuit currently. I could gladly take you to my other self. If you'd rather walk our streets yourself, however, it is just down the main street, going northward, it's the giant Manor with bronzed gates."

Bast accepted the towel and sandals with a few words of thanks, then set about drying her feet off with the towel while Masahiro spoke. When she was finished, she slipped the sandals on.
"I'm not too sure what happened to your seals, but I wouldn't be too surprised if they were broken somehow. There was a strange dagger that appeared to be controlling a young girl and Choumei. As soon as it was sealed, the rampage ended and I was able to seal the bug again." The woman took a sip from her flask of tea. "We have stores of food that should last us for a while, but if you have any to spare, it would be greatly appreciated. The lumber would be of great use, though, and I thank you for having some prepared."
Bast paused to think for a few moments, then rose to her feet.
"I have a feeling tensions between the Sand and another Village may soon be on the rise, so it may be best if I have an escort while here. Would you mind showing me the way, Lord Hokage?"
Nodding, he lead the way down the stairs, his eyes full ahead. Once they reached the bottom of the tower he motioned to the room behind them on the bottom floor. A simple sign above the door stated "Elder's Council in Session." And the Hatake nodded, chuckling gently as he did so.
"Village elders, the old guard, complaining about new Ninja not being 'friendly' enough or being 'too loud'. As if friendliness was our main prerogative. Come now, let's be going. Tell me, who is it that the Sand is tempting wartime relations with, who would have had the gall, beyond the UHV, to assault Sunagakure in this day and age?" He asked, opening the door for the younger woman and placing his hand upon her back.
Looking back to the Elder's chamber, the Hatake saw a sudden spark of chakra that didn't belong suddenly fill the entirety of the room, the motion slowed gently as he tried to brace for the impact, but all he could do was slam a single foot into the ground, a wall of stone and mud rising from behind Bastet to absorb and redirect some of the explosive force.
Those within the room hadn't even had the chance to react or scream as the circuit connected to the front door was activated and the large explosion rang out, shattering the windows of the upper floors and beginning to ignite, the senju wood bursting into splinters along the first floor.
The Clone of Masahiro would take the splintered wood of the Elder's Chamber door as well as the flames that escaped behind it and was seen thrown beyond Bastet before poofing into a cloud of smoke. Within moments ANBU swarmed the building, two jumping down from the remnants of the Hokage's office, one of them holding the limp, but still breathing, body of the Hokage's Secretary, Haru in his arms.
"Miyamoto-san, I'll guide you to the destination the Hokage requested. Please, be expedient." He called out to her from behind the porcelain mask of a hawk, the top corner of it chipped and soot marking the mask and the exposed skin beneath it.

"Kirigakure," Bast responded simply, stiffening silently when Masahiro placed his hand on her. That was, of course, entirely moot as soon as the explosion occurred. As soon as the stone wall shot up behind her, her muscles tensed and she instinctively absorbed the metal of her headband. The force of the explosion--mitigated as it was--launched her outside, but the absorption was finished before she landed, resulting in a person-shaped impact mark on the ground.
"Understood," she responded to the ANBU, following as soon as she extracted herself from the ground. "I'm seeing too much action these days..."
★ ▌"Hatake! Haru!" Hiro shouted upon reaching the entrance of the building. The first floor seemed in relatively good shape. Better than the smoke coming from the windows on the first level that spiraled up to the top of the tower. After a moment of not hearing or sensing anybody else around, the handyman turned back out to the adjacent building, seeing his owl companion perched. "Stay there. Holler at me if you see anything!" The exclaimed order was given to the girl, who moments before had robbed him blind after getting paid. Funny how emergency situations change the natural order of things. In this case, enemies working together as partners. What's next?
The working stiff entered the building where there seemed to be a collective of ANBU investigating the scene. The elders' chambers, whose vast wisdom often preceded the present Kage of the Leaf had been completely devastated upon the impact from whatever treacherous beings dared to attack the building. "********..." Hiro uttered. Blood splatters laid waste on the floor and walls, including a spurt plastering the ceiling above a now broken table. Hiro was left stilled in his tracks. He wondered who could have caused such calamity to Kohona's kin. ▌★

An ANBU Captain, marked only as such by the Haori he currently wore, stepped in front of the young man as he attempted to rush into the scene. Turning and looking back to the carnage of the room as both Coroners and other ANBU tended to the charred and burnt remnants of the attending elders. He placed his hand on the young man's shoulder and a shrill sound would mark the air between them as a sudden flourish of his chakra materialization came into existence. What seemed like several hawks made of a near blinding blue light spun around the man, and he pointed his index finger to the transformed young woman. Saeko would be returned to her human form as he pointed his finger to her.
"Akimichi, Haru-san was evacuated by on scene ANBU before the secondary charge blew. They were caught in the initial blast as it shredded the building, but my men carried her to the Hospital, where she remains under guard. Hokage Hatake and a Guest both survived the blast, they were exiting the building as it occurred. Hatake-sama took the brunt of the blast for his guest, but to our relief, it was merely one of his shadow clones on Office Duty. He was away with his training squad." The Captain spoke from behind his porcelain mask, then pressing his hand to his ear as a radio transmission sounded.
"If you have pressing business with the Hokage as stands, the current Base of Operations has been set at the Academia of Artistic Pursuit." As the ANBU spoke the sight of three more ANBU jumping out of the third story of the building could be seen, just before timbers and warping steel could be seen collapsing down.
Another ANBU on the first floor made a quick hand gesture and placed his hands to the ground, stone danced upwards and reinforced the roof and doorway against the collapse as the coroners and other ANBU began cordoning the body bags with the Elders out of the building.
"For the time being, we ask that all students and civilians shy away from the perimeter of the building. We will be setting up an official cordon while we begin working our way into the lower levels of the building."
★ ▌Immediately upon his utterance, Hiro was met by the lead attendant to the scene. Garbed in a white haori with what appeared to be the hidden leaf symbol stamped on each sleeve, he barred entrance into the elders' chambers gripping onto HIro's shoulder roughly. The firmness of the grip dug into the shoulder, with his thumb forcefully pinching off the nerve of his left arm. The suddenness wrought a numbing paralysis to Hiro's appendage, eliciting a deep groan as he tried to break loose from the man's grip.
Hiro tried to fight against the man's grip, but when he reached for the ANBU captain's wrist to pry it away, he was interrupted by a shriek and a blinding light that burned his retinas. "Aghhhhh!" The groan of pain forced a wincing, as Hiro's right hand moved to shield his eyes, rubbing the spots out of them. This sudden pain forced him to jerk wildly trying to get out of the man's reach. When he finally did, he felt himself fall back on his a**, back pressed into the doorway. "The ******** was that s**t, you c**t!?"
For the moment, Hiro was blinded. He continued to work the spots out with his hands, vision slowly but surely coming back into focus as the captain spoke about the situation. Hiro could hear everything said, but wasn't really listening. As such, he only attained about half the information given. It didn't help the man spoke behind one of the ANBU's patented masks. Still, Hiro got the gist of everything this a*****e was trying to say. Leave. Fine, he would do just that.
Standing back to his feet, the handyman fought off more of the spots in his eyes. A deep scowl was painted across his face from the captain's actions. He kept to the wall, using it to help guide his way out. All the while as he left the building, he uttered out to the captain. "Yeah, yeah, I get it. Go ******** yourself too, while you're at it." Visibly upset, and quite frankly irritated at the ordeal, Hiro exited back into the garden of the mansion. All the while spots flickered in his face as he began moving down the street once more, ignoring the girl on a rooftop who had been transformed back into her human self. ▌★

Saeko had found her way to the Hokage's old office, not sure where he had gone at this point as she was not given any information other than to meet with him. She looked at the destruction of the office once more as she had before she left, but she now had a mission. Find the Hokage and bring up the issue she has with the teams and ask to leave the village. She walked up to one of the ANBU and asked simply "Where is the Hokage" with a short tone and her voice was filled slightly with malice as she felt a little disrespected from the previous attempt with the ANBU. "You might have said it earlier, but I missed where one of you said he was".
The ANBU looked at the young woman as she asked of the Hokage's whereabouts. Tilting his head somewhat he spoke clearly.
"The Academia of Artistic Pursuits near the center of town."

Saeko nodded, the anger in her diffusing slightly as she turned again away from another ANBU member and walked back towards the streets to follow them to the center of the town. She took one last glance backwards to look at the building. What the hell happened here, she thought and walked back towards the street with a new idea of trying to figure out what happened.
"Talk"Think Yukiko walked up to the Hokage's office. Her heart sunk deep into her chest, this was a place she had avoided for so many years. Her last time here was when she was a toddler playing Hokage with her father Noctis Shinsetsu, the former Hokage who died at the hands of the nine tailed beast, tears started to form in her eyes. She quickly shook them away. For her to grow as a person and as a shinobi she needed to step through the door and receive her genin rank, but all that she could think of was when she was here with her father playing around his office. Pretending to be a little Hokage herself. Her attention became alert as she heard voices on the inside. Swallowing she knocked. Her heart racing, she had heard the Hokage's office had been renovated since the attack. It would be her first time seeing it since it changed.
From her nervousness the air around her started to chill and crack. She breathed, letting little clouds out of her mouth. Trying to clam herself she thought of her brother Kisuke.

Kisuke was walking through the streets, he had just graduated along side his sister. And then she run off to get her headband without even waiting for him. She was excited about it, but she was going to the wrong place. He looked up at building. From the front it seemed the building was but look at it from the side most of the building was destroyed. Anbu had been standing guard but they apparently let his sister through. He recognized their masks, they had been around alot when his father was Hokage. They saw him and nodded motioning towards the office telling him where his sister was."Thanks." He said to them with a smile. As he walked past them, he then walked up the stairs and it felt a feeling of de ja vu, Walking up these stairs with his mother. They would be going to see his father at work. The memories flowed around them seeing his small self running around excited. Yukiko was estatic at these times. She always dreamed of becoming Hokage. He could see her staring at the Hokage office door, waiting for it to open. He walked up to her and place his hand on her head."Hey, what are you doing. They don't use this building anymore. We have to go to the academia, follow me."Kisuke grabbed his sisters hand and led her out of the building.

"Talk"Think Yukiko looked over at her brother, she could feel her cheeks turn a tinge of blue from blushing with embarrassment. It also broke her heart at the thought that they weren't using her fathers office anymore. Tiny ice crystals formed in her tear ducks but she blinked them away. They shattered on the floor at her feet. Taking Kisuke's hand she looked down and walked closely behind him, forehead to his back. She didn't want to see anymore of the building, it confused her and caused turmoil within her heart. She said very few words, but her mind was always racing with thought. The girl was also relieved that the office was no longer in use, maybe it had looked the same from when her father used it. What would I do without Kisuke? I'm so pathetic running all the way over here. Not even thinking. What did I expect to happen when that door opened? Dad? She closed her eyes tightly and obediently followed.
