True Blood After Midnight {Let's Pick Up Where We Left Off}

As she was being led through the corridors of the castle, Aven was looking out for any sign of another person. She could sense them but couldn't see them, which made her uneasy. Ever since entering the castle, her senses had become magnified, she could feel things around her, things that weren't there. It was completely overwhelming, but the cold floor beneath her bare feet was a comforting feeling. She started to sing softly to herself as she continued to walk.

Solina finally saw Merle walk away on her own. Since she first met Merle, only she was shooing her away. Finally Merle shooed away. Solina walked near the bathroom door and knocked it. She knew he was annoyed with girls, but his taste and smell...and love...made her continue to chase him everywhere he went. She knew it was weird, but she liked him.

Able's ear twitched as this "God of Light" spoke her ears sensitive easily picking up any noise around. She shook her head and continued on as she headed down the stair still floating on mid air knowing she would trip or something. She looked up at the ceiling finding some familiar about it but she shrugged. "This place is giving me the chills..." She muttered as she sat down on the steps once more giving up. She glanced over to the door that was rather far off, but she could easily spot the two talking. She made sure to block their conversation not wanting to be rude. She looked at her hand and spotted a black dot on her hand. "Ugh..not again..i hope it wont spread..." She muttered quietly and sighed.

Nicholas sneezed. Rubbing his nose, he sank completely under water for a few minutes. The warm water was helping him relax his tense muscles because of the trip. His vision of his bathroom ceiling was rippled but he was still able to picture the designs carved on it.

Standing up, Nicholas grabbed a nearby towel from the rack when he heard a knock on his bathroom door. "What is it?" He asked as he motioned towards the mirror by the sink. He examined his body, running his hand across the markings and scars on his left shoulder. I wonder if that book has answers..

Wandering the halls at night gave Merle a certain peace of mind. The castle was quiet then, and sometimes she fancied that she could hear it breathing like some sleeping giant. It gave her time to think things over, as well.

After a few minutes, Merle found herself walking in one of the older corridors of the place. A strip of light fell on the stone floor; it came from a high arched window. She approached it and looked outside. The storm has passed on... The moon is so very bright. It lit up her eyes, and she took in its precious silver beams, relishing the feel of moonlight on her face, breathing in the calm. As she stood there, a tarot card left the hidden deck that was always up her sleeve, and it fell to the ground face down. Merle picked it up and turned it over, and she felt her breath catch in her throat.

The Lightning Struck Tower.

Merle stared at the ruined remains of the tower on the card. She knew the tarot cards had no permanent meaning attached to a signle one, that they varied; but her thoughts couldn't help racing. The Tower had a very infamous representation. Chaos. Downfall. Ruin. Sudden change. Revelation.

"What are you trying to tell me?" she whispered to the dark.

Suddenly, the sound of someone softly singing broke Merle out of her reverie. Concealing the card carefully up her sleeve again, she followed the sound, turning a corner, and found a girl and one of the twins.

"May I help the two of you?" she asked, coming up behind them. The smile on her face hid the unease that was creeping in from the corners of her mind because of the tarot card.

Aven jumped at the sudden voice from behind. she turned and said in a quiet voice, "Um...Xenya was guiding me out of these corridors..im afraid I got a bit lost earlier. I have no idea where i am suppose to be.".

An embarrassed grin made its way across her face."This place is just so large, its very overwhelming." she said with a small laugh. Aven thought, She seems nice, maybe she can point me in the right direction." She then realized she had been staring at the girl, blushing she turned her gaze towards the floor.

Solina's eyes changed suddenly, and her personality was now back to her normal. "Eh?" She whispered to herself as she heard a voice in the bathroom. She looked at the door and then walked away. When she was walking in the halls she met once again Merle and a girl with her.

Solina walked to the girl and stood near Merle. "Good evening..." She then smelt her taste of blood. Solina sharply closed her mouth so she would not come to her and then suck her blood and everything.

Xenya turned around as he saw Merle "Ahhh your that Chief woman's helper arent you?" he said as he chuckled "I know somebody who's going to want to see you...and trust me she's gonna be complaining about me!" he said as he leaned against the wall.

Zena walked around as she repeatedly slammed from wall to wall as blood still covered her legs, arms, body and face "Must...find...help..." as she looked down a corridor seeing four people, her vision was blurry and couldnt tell who they were (the same corridor Xenya, Merle, Solina & Aven are in) "Take me...to...the doctor..." as Zena's legs collapsed on her and she passed out hitting the floor.

As Zena collapsed, Merle became acutely aware of two things.

One: The girl was covered in blood.
Two: Solina was a vampire.

Quick to act, Merle knelt down over the girl's body and muttered a string of charms to stop the bleeding; it was the top priority for now. When the worst was over, she stood up and faced Xenya. "If you'd carry your sister for me, I can lead you back to your room." Then she turned to the other young miss and said kindly, "Oui, this castle is large, it's easy to get lost. Would you mind if I escorted you after I take them? Don't worry, I'll take you to yours straight after."

Shaken by what just played out before her, Aven could hardly get a word out. "S-s-sure, thats fine. I'll...I'll just wait here..".

she sank to the floor against the nearest wall, shaking slightly. "What is this place..." she thought to herself as she tried to regain composure, resting her head against her knees.

Without Solina's control, she head over with stretched hands over Aven, right after Merle and Zenya went. For people it would look that Solina hugged Aven, but next would be Aven's neck. Solina in all her might whispered to Aven "Push me away." But then she opened her mouth and was about to bite Aven, while somebody approached behind Aven.

"Solina, stop immediately." A woman approached pushing Solina away from Aven. "A-Akane?" Solina said staring at the woman. "You never stand the smell of blood? Calm down Solina!" Akane said looking down at Solina who was sitting on the floor. Akane was the eldest of vampire race, and was wrote in most of the books. "Stand up and leave this girl alone. I'll be heading to Chief." Aven said walking away to Chief's office.

Xenya laughed and stared at Merle "Me help her? Pfft! She was the one who got herself into the own mess and well lets say I was the one who caused her bloody wounds..." Xenya walked past Zena's unconscious body and looked down at it "As soon as she wakes up, you may want to stay abit away, she's gonna have abit of a Power Flow" After that Xenya walked off away from the corridor.

Aven welcomed the embrace from Solina, resting her head on her shoulder. The energy coming from her was incredible, almost intoxicating. Aven felt relaxed and safe, but when she heard Solina whisper "push me away.", she tensed up and started to struggle to get away.

She could barely feel Solinas breath on her neck when a woman pushed her away from Aven. as she pushed herself against the wall, trying to escape into a nonexistent hole, she heard Solina call the woman Akane. Looking up she saw the woman walking away, "Thank you..." she whispered, even though Akane was clearly to far away to hear.

Akane smiled as she heard a bit of 'Tha' and also 'you'. Akane vanished as she was immediately near Chief's office's door. She opened it without hesitation and saw Ra-iem with Chief. "I shall not have any evidence to show that Hatukiri is guilty, but I shall agree." Akane said closing the door behind her and standing around the two people making a triangle. "He were to stole the possesion, but though I haven't seen the person clearly, he was suspected. I myself was with God of water and Goddess of moon this happened. I could say it might be not Hatukiri, but there are no other people would no the road to God's of water base." Akane rolled her eyes on Chief waiting for her to reply.

Solina stood up sharply and walked over to Aven bowing and saying "I-I'm truly sorry. To not hide my secret, I'm a vampire, and your blood made me do this. I haven't drink blood in around 100 years." Solina stood up and bowed once again walking away. She didn't know how to apologize to her.
