So... nobody wants an intelligent artificial life-form that doesn't need food or drink? I'm not allowed to take it back to my world because it uses components that could affect the development there, apparently.

Amy was so consumed with what Psyzapp said about her drink and then fixing it that she didn't hear anybody else.
She quickly got another drink and started reworking what she had already made with a large smile on her face.
"Thank you so much, Psyzapp! If I practice hard enough, maybe I could become the bartender at night! I'd be fun to make a lot of mixed drinks! Who wants one?!"
She called out the last part to everyone.

I guess that IS a better reason for not wanting it than the fact that was made to look like Tes. It was originally supposed to be a present for Ryzan.
But I doubt the dogs would like chewing on live wires and a metal skeleton.

I don't think a metal skeleton and some wires would phase them. stare @ Amethyst: *Pulls out the huge Bartenders book from behind the bar and sets it on the top.* This should come in handy for you then. Amy gasped and slowly took the book like it was the Holy Grail or something. She looked down at it for a few moments before she looked up at Psyzapp with a large smile on her face. She sat the book down on the counter and then hugged Psyzapp excitedly.

There's a lot of small metal parts in the head that would cut up the poor dog's mouth. The doll has a brain of sorts, as well as metal eyes, a thing for making sound in the mouth, and a thing for hearing in the ears.
Hey... Amythist.... did I get that right?
Anyway, would you like a doll that is intelligent and capable of moving and acting on it's own? It would be like a guest you didn't have to feed.
You would have to train it though, it has a limited personality because it has little life experience.
But you won't have to teach it much because it's brain has a high school education.

The word "pet" would imply it was like an animal. It's like a fully functional human who doesn't need food or toiletries.
It even has machines to let it hear and talk, so you could have real conversations with it. ^-^

@ Alice: I know it wouldn't be very good for the dogs to chew up…but they are dogs and they will regardless.
@ Amethyst: I'm glad you're excited. You do have to leave this book here though because Maune may need it. He's our only bartender so far and he works when he can here…which has really not been much lately. stare So I could REALLY use another bartender. 3nodding
