"Only a couple of days ago. I also gave him a warning that if he blabbed too much then he would have to scrub your boots with his tongue" Damien said, "and he knows he would have to do it. I only told him so that I could use him as babysitter when needed, though I'm not sure between him and the children who acts more mature. The twins probably".

"Oh dear... I just hope he doesn't hurt them or the other way around." Jian said, almost picturing the twins in a robot, chasing Dietrich down the hall. "Who knows though. He might actually be a good uncle."

"I hope so. But if they give him a hard time then we have a new threat for when he steps out of line" Damien chuckled, then sipped his wine again. He looked around the room again. "Very interesting portraits" he commented.

Saiyu yawned and stretched, her back popping as she slid out of one of the small escort cars that had been following Zil.

With nothing at the Inn there was no need to guard it (much to Saiyu's disappointment) and so she was back to following people around like a lost puppy once more.'Maybe they should just stick a leash on me that way they could just drag me around'.

Spotting the prince Saiyu nearly gave a shallow incline of her head towards the Helmshirean heir as she waited in the wings with the rest of the rebel team, awaiting orders from zil. For the first time since she had met him Saiyu was being professional, something that took a few of the maids by surprise who expected, and gotten used to the usual over the top admiration and affectionate greeting the red head had been giving Kyrell for years.

~~~
Rafael couldn't help but curse as he sat back in his chair, a hand running through the messy mop he called hair.
The systems, though painfully slow, were up and running once more and now with that done it meant that more remedial chores around the bias had become his problem as much as anyone else's.
With another string of curse words, aimed at himself for his fast working speed Raffie stood and started idly cleaning stuffing things in draws around the room. At least it was some form of contribution to the cleaning effort, no matter how half hearted it seemed.
Zil whispered to the prince, "If you want to take this burden back, go ahead." He was referring to Saiyu.
Kyrell took note of what Zil said and called Saiyu by name to come to him, out of the crowd that she was in. It really didn't mean anything to him. It was simply a gesture but others could think different. The mechanical beast was brought to the garden for a big unveiling and Zil, in a suit, made a presentation about how they could replicate the thing and make more models based on the energy core it worked on as well as the mechanisms of other current technology already present. Zil's statement was that Helmshire had to modernize or die fighting, which was applauded by some of the court officials who attended while begrudged by others. The king seemed particularly interested in the idea as he rubbed his chin, thinking about it.
"All in a day's work, dear absolute leader", Monica said. She then listened to the two converse about the twins and the younger Blackrose. It didn't sound good at all. Monica did however, seem pleased when Damien complimented the portraits. "I'm pretty sure my ancestors would be grateful for that comment", she said, looking up to one of her great grandmothers who looked almost like an exact replica of Monica except she had black hair and favored the clothes of her time - elegant long gowns and silk gloves accenuated with gold jewelry studded with precious rocks.
"Well, what were you two planning on doing for the rest of the day? Have you eaten yet? I haven't" Damien said, both to Jian and Monica.
"We were having a picnic before you arrived" Monica said. "But it is cold now since it is evening. I'm sure the servants would have had something cooked by now either way." Damien would be surprised with how militaristic and uniform the movements of the housekeepers would be if he ever saw it in action. It would seem as though they were better fit as soldiers than as housekeepers.
((wut?))
"Well that's nice of you to offer, and I will take you up on that. I'd love to see what's for dinner" Damien said to his Chief of the secret police.
"Alright then. Let us go", Monica said as she led the two out of the sitting room. Near the door, a servant was waiting to attend them already. Monica told him to tell the chefs to make dinner and he was off as quick as he could as Monica walked leisurely with her guests, allowing time for the servants to prepare. "So how about the issue with the citizens? How do you guys suppose we could fix that?", she started as conversation
Damien sighed. "Are they still like that? I thought that was sorted out when we crushed the uprising. Well, if they're at it again, then we will crush them again. If this keeps up then I will have even the mention of the Grand Priestess or Mt. Angelo banned from the entire country. No one will be allowed to mention it unless it is one of the officials talking about a meeting. We may need to beef up our secret police and install new members and bribe people to rat on their acquaintances if necessary. We will offer rewards to those who expose any religious plots or anti-government plots. Also, step up on the denouncement of stupidity such as democracy and religion. Eventually we will wean the idiocy out of this country" the Absolute Leader ordered.
Saiyu hesitated, shifting her weight from side to side for a moment before walking forward - Zil's comment seemingly unheard.
"Thank you.....Zil.....for letting me work with you..."
'or at least letting me be a nuisance somewhere else'
she flashed the rebel leader a brief smile before standing just at the edge of the group of maids, her hands folded behind her back and head tilted slightly up. She had no interest in what either party had to say at the moment.
In fact she was wondering how much insubordination it would take to get her kicked back to the Inn and out of the way. She was sick of listening and taking orders from both men.
(( o.o;..w..wait who's she stabbing))
As Zil began to leave with his men, the advisers immediately began quarreling with each other in front of the king, arguing about how they would go about with their plans. The mechanical beast was left there to be examined closely.
"Enough. You don't have to listen to them, father", Kyrell said, going close to the king's throne. "Zil, a great friend and ally of our country, has offered us a solution. The best thanks we could do for this is to take his advice and build more for ourselves. We have the people. We have the resources. We can crush Diethelm if we tried!" He pointed to the feline-shaped robot shimmering in the sun and said, "And this is our first step"
"No sir", Monica seemed to chuckle before returning to a more serious tone. "I mean our population. The suicide rate is rising in Diethelmian citizens and other nationalities alike. Well, to be sure, plenty of those would be religious advocates but surely, plenty of younger members are contemplating group suicide and many more die trying to escape our boundaries. A few have reportedly escaped on boat to other continents though. I have already requested our coast guard to keep a stricter eye.
((OOC: Everyone. Also, haha! Success! Kyrell is slowly going back to the personality I had envisioned for him XP ))
"Any suggestions on how to stop this? I can understand her supporters acting up, but why so many suicides across the general scale? It won't be good for the economy or the military if we loose too many people, and even if we try to hush it up, it might make things look worse if these things are common knowledge at the local level."
"Well this an even worse problem then. If my people are dying, I want them to die fighting for me. We will spread messages that it is the conniving deeds of Helmshire and the rebels. We'll say they've put a drug in the water and/or are broadcasting secret messages enticing people to kill themselves so that they can easily win this war. I also want an investigation done on why people are doing this. Remind the population that a true and strong Diethelmian, and this includes all races under the Empire, doesn't end their own life. They stand strong and stand fighting. Suicide is for the weak" Damien ordered.
"Alright. I'll make sure the man in charge of communications knows that then." Jian replied, though he didn't think it would help much. He knew people were probably killing themselves because they felt hopeless and caged in Diethelm.
