What's better, Yaoi or Yuri?

On-topic, I prefer femmeslash, but when I'm reading a book or playing a game or whatever and trying to come up with pairings I generally come up with an equal amount of slash/femmeslash/het I like. It's more about the pairing than the gender for me.

I am most definitely a yaoi fan. I've read some yuri before but I just can't get into it the way I enjoy yaoi. I have nothing against it at all because I've had lots of friends who are bi but it's just not something I like to read.

Both. I've enjoyed reading the few yuri stories that I have found and the many yaoi that I have found.

I like both, but it depends on the pairing. I prefer yaoi/slash slightly more, but that's because I watch/read mostly shonen stuff, so there are more male characters than female ones.

i just cant see the females in HP or in anime having relationships with each other.

I wouldn't say that one is necessarily better than the other, however I do have a personal preference. I never have been able to read yuri. It's got to be yaoi for me.

I like yaoi more. I never read a yuri fic so I don't have an opinion on it. =p

I prefer yuri. Not that I don't like some yaoi (as long as it's nothing too sexual), but the stories written by obsessive straight girls are less than appealing. They tend to turn the male/male relationship into an exact copy of the male/female relationship (think seme/uke). I don't think it's deliberate heterosexism or anything, but it gets annoying.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the heterosexual female enjoying or writing yaoi.

yaoi is better in my opinion. yuri is ok. i love yaoi more because it's hotter. there's more yaoi than yuri out there. for some reason, everyone seems to write more yaoi stories and posting yaoi videos on youtube than yuri.
